Imagine driving (or being fireman) on a big old ASG articulated loco on this line? At least you would be warm. But 'worn out' by the time you got back to Burnie? Glad I was not on the train that de-railed.. Even if the loco stayed on the track, what a place to get stranded? This video, like the previous two is an "eye opener" for sure.. Thank you..
Absolutely love the videos, and have recommended them to friends in Sydney.. I have done some road transport driving on the road to Queenstown over the years, and always like to look at the railway in those parts of Tasmania while I'm there? Wish that I had done more? Another guy "Lorirocks 777" posts videos from the cab, in Swiss trains on RUclips ... Well worth a look.. Just for interest's sake (or us 'wannabe train drivers') like me ..
[ x ] Some really neat scenery there in Tasmania! Beautiful! Thanks for sharing, as always. And an unusual site at 10:00, too ... Whew! [Greetings from Tucson]
A shame your camera battery failed before Boco. Seems like a good reason to come back and finish that section 😁 Do you have video from Boco to Rosebery and hopefully Melba Flats? 🤞🚂
I am tipping this is the reason for new sleepers, ballast and rails, although it does like a bit like a land slip at that point, hopefully no one was killed. Look at that rust though, this is how you can tell it's the west coast, very high rainfall.
@ 9:44. Obviously a train didn’t make the bend. Not only that I spied adjacent rails (at the beginning of the accident) embedded in the ground as if there was an alternate track bed or trestle bridge across the gap (?) and it gave way and they have shifted the track over?

It would have been a hard job way back then and a scary time with that derailment. Glad you enjoyed the video. 👍😀

It would have been frightening 😳 The scenery is beautiful in Tasmania. Glad you enjoyed it. 👍😀

Unfortunately this is all I have of that line. Maybe in the future...... 👍😀
You are finally in main line cabs in tas. What at a wild and wonderful state we are.

Tasmania is a very interesting and beautiful place. Very happy you enjoyed the ride. 👍 😀
Great video
Very happy to hear you enjoyed it 👍 😀
Good to 'ride 'the good old EBR line again.
Glad you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
Why were those wagons at the 10 minute point in the video never removed after the derailment and left to rust ?
Cost far to much to recover and no environmental impact in leaving them there. It is very remote in that area. 👍😀
@@driver667 thanks !
@@schlubloic602 you're welcome 😀👍
👍
👍😀
looks like a few wagons did not make it at 10 miniute mark

There was a landslip at that point a number of years ago. No casualties as far as I know which is a good thing. The train not so lucky. 🤔👍😀

It was a landslip a number of years ago. Rugged country out there but beautiful country. 👍😀
Oi is it easier to become Vline or Metro driver or conductor
It's just as hard to get into vline or metro. 👍😀
