I know it's an exhibition/show match and not a serious game, but, holy crap, is this beautiful to watch. It's amazing watching pros setting up such theatrical shots and even communicating comedy through their gameplay. Just total control.

This was the best example of ideal sportsmanship I think I've ever seen. This was as heartwarming as it was entertaining. You could tell they were really trying, though they allowed eachother to have fun with it, eased up for stunts and laughs for the crowd, but in general seemed like they were really playing to win and trying to give the other the challenge because that's the fun in it, and the real reason for sport. I loved this, reminded me of how in the skateboarding world it's less about being a sport, and more of an encouragement and a sort of no teams means we're all on the same team pushing eachother into being great at the craft; the competition aspect is just a vehicle, an excuse to get together and put effort into something fun, rewarding and challenging. This was truly great!

Riley Walker because it was an exhibition match, its just for fun to maybe like make the most distance or something, and I dont really watch that much ping pong but maybe they do in real matches?
Tom Oomen ur partly right, yes because it's an exhibition match there not trying to make it to awkward however they would try it to often in a match either, there's to much chance things could go wrong. You've got to take it practically as soon as it bounces, take off the pace then get it to drop short enough that the other players can't run in and take the advantage. In my league I lob for ages, there's very few people who can drop shot it that good consistently. Those who try it u can normally read it and run in and start attacking. Though there's one guy in my league who awesome at drop shots, it just normally to risky

I mean, in a real match as the attacker you'd probably just loop to the other side of the table with the defender so far out of position. Then again the person defending probably wouldn't get themselves into such a terrible situation to begin with.
