Cruel Universe sounds like fun stories but the art looks poo poo from here but I’m a stickler for “classic” art style so perhaps I’m just a little too harsh. Those children in The Last Sleepover remind me of Ben Copper Costume Kids. I’ve been on a Ben Cooper action figure kick lately. Lots of great memories from when I was a kid. Green Lantern 87; great issue but I’m still waiting for Sea Monkeys mini series! Super Suckers! Now that looks like a very interesting comic and based on your review, me thinks I’m getting sucked in! I’m actually going to look for it now!
I think I have 1-4. Plus four others from them. I’m really trying to focus my collection on older comics so I don’t mind passing them on - it’s a space issue. I’d love to give them to someone who’ll enjoy them.
It was tough to listen to this episode as I was transfixed by the fabulous Kiss album cover on your shelf! I'm most interested in the horror genre of comics, so I'd probably go with Abyss, even with the disappointing first story. Green Arrow sounds super interesting, though! My Hello Darkness #1 is supposed to arrive today!
I’ll move that distraction because you must stare at your master, Garage King! This is the Garage Army not the Kiss Army. By now it arrived - which cover did you go for?
Glad the Green Lantern/Green Arrow held up…whew…one of the most famous DC runs of the entire 70s. Been hearing about it for all my years of reading comics. Sadly, i don’t think Epitaphs ever really finds it footing. Cruel Universe usually contains something worthwhile, but never gets as good as the great covers make me hope for. I need to dig up my copy of Super Suckers that i never read! Did you ever encounter the band the Supersuckers back in the 90s?

I can send you mine when I’m finished reading them. I have about 8 comics. I just need your address. I think you have my email.
@ That’s awfully nice but you might want them for n your collection? If I’m not mistaken I think Super Suckers is going on issue 5?

Nice reviews, thanks!
You’re welcome.
Reading the 5th FF Omnibus and The "pretty lady" thing is very frequent! Like 5 times an issue!
Sign of the times, I guess. Pretty jarring now.
The Cruel Universe has peeked my interest. I love the cover. Green Lantern #87 is a cool facsimile to have. John Stewart is one of the Lanterns.

@@garagegeek4863 I went for the one you showed! It's still in the box, though, because I'm giving it as a Xmas gift.
The Green Lantern facsimally is one I would of picked up.
It’s worth it. There are about five GL facs now.

I have not but I’m weakest at 90s music. I read another issue each of Ep and Cruel - both about the same. Fun but forgettable.
