First video for 2023 let's goooo! I tell these stories a lot on stream and wanted to make a video compiling them all in one place. I was hoping to have this out sooner but alas, December kicked my ass. Should be back on schedule now, though! Fingers crossed January is kinder.

As a person how has now broke my head in half _TWICE_ this is true
As a person who needed surgery after breaking my leg near my hip, yep. That story is super fun to tell. Not fun in the moment...but...yeah.
Now the time I got hit in the back of the head with a giant rock and needed staples in my head...THAT...that is not fun to tell and not fun in the moment either. Gosh, my head starts to hurt just THINKING of it.
As someone who almost died when they were 6 because I zipped myself into a beanbag, began to suffocate from a lack of oxygen, and had to depend on my sisters to unzip me free since I couldn't open it from the inside; this is true.

The worst injury I had was when I was eating a SpongeBob popsicle I tried to pull an eye out of it and then when I pulled it out I fell backwards onto the concrete and then all I remember seeing after that was me waking up at a doctors office or a hospital nearby…
Ok that is a weird way to get injured
Just put the whole thing in your entire mouth. Then that won’t happen.
HUH...
the spongebob curse
You must’ve pulled it so dramatically 😂😭
I have the ultimate strange injury story.
so it was before school in my 6th grade. before school us 6th graders were expected to come in a certain outside door so plenty of kids tend to congregate there before it is time to go in. so I'm sitting on the ground reading my book when a pair of kids are nearby playing with each other by pushing each other(humans are weird) and one pushed hard enough to have their friend trip over me knocking me over(from sitting on the ground) and it hurt my arm. so with my arm hurting I went to the nurse, told her my arm hurt, and was given an ice pack and sent to class. so I go through the day not using my hurt arm that much(thank goodness it was my left arm given i'm right handed) and eventually go home tell my mom my arm hurt(relevant backstory time, I have a high pain tolerance, I had previously broke my collarbone as a small child and just went on to play) so my mom took me to the doctors and insisted on an x-ray because she thought it was broken, doctor said I seemed fine, my mom insisted, eventually my mom wore them down they took my x-ray and turns out my arm was broken. suffice to say my mom made the school promise to let her know if I ever go to the nurse for something like that again
i had a similar thing happen. i fell over by the going in door and was trampled by 600 odd kids. literally trampled as in people stood on me, i could barely breath for the next 2 days.
@@ihadastrokereadingthis that sounds rather unpleasant
no 1. “oh just get an ice pack sweetie ur ok”
no 2. i cry over falling on concerete wtf lucky
When I was 8 years old I was visiting my mom's future boss (good friends at the time and still are) and I was going out the car door as per usual. in the split seconds between exiting the front seat passenger side and closing the door I spotted a beanie boo Mcdonalds happy meal. I reach out to grab it and get my middle finger stuck in the car door. I don't feel any pain and I call my mom over and ask for her help to open the door. She thought I had just gotten my sleeve stuck and opened it, only to find my sleeve immediately drop and put on display a pretty messed up middle finger. She is just shocked and brings me inside to put on some gauze and stuff. my ENTIRE NAIL is hanging by a bit of skin (cuticles i think they are called, correct me nail artists if I'm wrong) and she wraps it up with gauze and stuff. A couple weeks later its still not healed and theres this goo under my nail. my dad soon gets sick of it and takes off my nail (it didn't hurt so my dad is NOT ABUSIVE.) and I had a school Christmas play with one of the lead roles so I got to freak everyone out at the practices. (it healed before the play lol)
My Story here of a WEEIIIRRD injury
I was 7 and in grade 5 it was a Saturday I was chilling in home with my 12(in dog years) dog, Luna, my mom was in the living room and me and Luna were playing in the garden (fetch with a squeaky ball) and I was just like cuddling up to her like “Who’s A Good Girl!” Right, and one detail that’s important for later was it was in a warm summer so I was in shorts and t-shirt. Right and I was heading back inside when Luna jumped up me really hyper like she does all the time but because of everything she scratched open my leg and it hurt so much as to knock me down but I didn’t scream or shout I just went “ow” and called mom. it was only like 1 mm thick and 16 mm wide it was lightly bleeding across the middle but not much blood, mom came and I got up and just walked into the living room mom had a look at it I just started chilling on the sofa watching RUclips. Needless to say, Luna got in giant trouble
That’s it lol idk how weird that really is but well accidental dog scratch that left a permanent scar s something 😅
I once broke my wrist due to a dare. The dare was very stupid. I was twelve years old and I was having a playdate with my friend Olivia at the park. Another kid came up to play (I can't remember his name), and Olivia came up with the most stupid idea I'd ever heard. She wanted to use the see-saws as a catapult, and both she and the other kid wanted me to be the cannonball. I should have said no, but I didn't. I was launched and I landed on my wrist. My dad was furious at Olivia for peer-pressuring me to do that. I was taken to the hospital after I told my dad that I couldn't move my wrist without being in extreme pain. Moral of the story, don't fall for peer pressure.
i nearly broke my back on a see-saw so i know ur pain
btw i was launched high cause there were two ppl on the other side an only me on my side
yeah thats the stupidest dare in the world
@@bernice_520 I actually don't know if Olivia got in trouble because her dad wasn't there, and she was taken home soon after my dad took me to the hospital.
My names is Olivia!
I cut my finger on a ravioli can because I tried opening it with a knife when I couldn't find the can opener. I actually managed to open it with a knife successfully and it was when the lid fell then slid under the microwave I actually cut myself reaching for it.
My twin brother ended up walking in the kitchen afterwards and got me a bandaid from a first aid kit. It ended up leaving a scar and I learned how to open a can with a knife that day. also it took almost a month before it completely healed.
Just a reminder that head injuries are not a joke. You are "fine" until you suddenly drop dead an hour later.
I remember falling and hitting my head on ice pretty hard in the schoolyard in kindergarten many years ago. Didn't get sent home or even to the nurse's office. Just went through the rest of the school day with a mild case of double vision. This was the '80s though; I wonder if that had anything to do with it. I wonder if I would've turned out any different if I had gotten properly looked after.
I lost someone to this. Car accident. Very minor, rear ended. Car was fucked but no one was hurt. Hit their head but again. Entirely fine. Went home, was okay for a few weeks. Died of a brain aneurysm.
Yeah…Bob Sagat apparently hit his head by accident during his tour and said he was fine but then fell asleep and never woke up
@@heroslippy6666 okay I get it
It seemed more like the broom skipped off of her head and because it was wooden that made her bleed because she said she was pitching something up off the ground and she was most likely close to the ground which means either the kid who swung the broom was not thinking at all or they were thinking they could only hit the piñata and avoid her head so I think it would be more fitting to go to urgent care to avoid waiting 3 hours

Ah thanks RUclips for recommending me this beautiful art where a person talks about the increasingly worrying injuries they keep receiving
My most awkward injury was when my coach in color guard changed the choreography to a double blade toss on sabre and I guess I tossed it at a weird angle and I busted my tooth on a show day. I really tossed one of the easiest tosses I know and I knocked out a tooth. Not my best moment 💀

I'm in highschool color guard right now. One of the girls almost hit themselves in the eye and they had to get stitches. Another broke their wrist several times. So far I've only got a couple concussions, a few asthma attacks, and a few anxiety attacks. Fun times.
Nice 👍

I felt the sprained ankle story, I broke my arm 3 days into the first semester and was in a brace for nearly two months. I didn't even end up going to the follow up doctor's appointment because that would have involved a phone call and I wasn't mentally prepared for that. In conclusion: college is wild, and bones are overrated.

My weirdest injury was when i started breakdancing as a stunt but fell on a sharp piece of glass. I didnt feel it so i kept breakdancing until i saw the puddle of blood on the floor. So of course i touched it and started hurting but when some people walked in the room they saw me CLEARLY panicked.. And then i cried.

Having given some thought to it, probably my dumbest injury was when I was something like 8-10 years old. We had massive dirt piles around our house from having a new addition with basement added onto our house. I'd recently seen a cartoon featuring someone using a parachute, and one of my brothers correctly pointed out that the artist had drawn the parachute *way* too small to be effective. It was proportionately about the size a large trash bag was to me. Not that I understood the concept of proportions just yet. On that note, I was familiar with the parachutes that my brother's model rockets used, and those were significantly smaller. Not knowing who to trust, I decided I'd test it out. We didn't have parachutes, but we did have trash bags.
Of course I knew better than to jump off of something that was so high I could hurt myself if it didn't work. But I previously had jumped off of the mounds of dirt before without getting hurt, so that seemed like a reasonable place to do the test.
My moment of idiocy was not putting on shoes first. At that age, during the summer, I ran around barefoot a lot. My feet are not quite freakishly wide. My parents only really had a concept of sizing shoes based on whether they're long enough, so it would probably be another year before I'd actually have shoes that were comfortable, and it only happened that quickly in part because of this incident.
Not wearing shoes didn't guarantee problems, but I landed on a rock that was just large enough and just sharp enough that I needed something like 4 stitches. Now, I started with running a trial *with* the garbage bag, so if the cartoon was right, then maybe I wouldn't have hit the ground so hard.
However, a parachuting sizing chart google just found for me tells me as an adult weighing 80kg with 15kg of equipment, I should use a 240 square foot parachute. Given my size when I did that test, I should've had something like a 200 square foot parachute. Not a 4 square foot parachute. That having been said, 4 feet isn't far enough for a parachute that big to actually deploy properly, so there was no way the test would've had success.
On the bright side, not only did that experience help me justify why I needed my parents to take me to shoe stores that would also check the width of my feet, but it was also another step on my path to learning the concept of proportionality.
I also had a huge dirt pile in my yard I liked to run around in and I loved being bare foot but sometimes I wasn't allowed because it had some glass in it or maybe that was just the gravel pile I don't remember but I never got hurt. We had a dirt pile because my dad and some other people built himself a new garage
Ayyy foot injury gang!! I broke a glass and a shard fell on my foot, I had the choice of getting stitches (needed a doctor to come in on their free time - it was 9 pm on a Monday) or medical glue. I chose glue. I got nerve damage and it didn't hurt at all during the recovery process or the actual injury 💀

I was once kidnapped
Yes, It’s true. I was playing outside on my scooter when I was 6 and a woman asked me I wanted to go meet her new puppy and of course being a 6 year old I did. She let me in her house and gave me drugs which put me to sleep. I was there for 7 hours before I woke up in the hospital. Apparently my neighbour knew who I was and knew I wasn’t related to that lady. Clearly something was off so she asked my parents if they knew the lady and they panicked and called the police
oh my..
One million views!! Congrats!!
This reminds me of a time when my mom accidentally cut my eye when I was too close to her opening a Tinker Bell play set. I couldn’t even open my good eye, that’s how sensitive it was and also why I’m afraid of eye drops.
The weirdest way I’ve injured myself was probably when I slightly sprained my right thumb after I fell of the gaga ball pit that we had at my old middle school. There was a section of one of the walls that was slightly lower than the rest so you could climb in easier, and when people got out, they would sometimes sit there to watch the rest of the game. I was sitting there one time, and lost my balance, so I started falling over and put my hand out to stop myself, which led to me landing on my thumb weird. It didn’t hurt very badly, but when me and one of my friends who was there briefly mentioned it to her mom (who was a doctor), she asked about it and eventually told us it was probably a bit sprained, and to be careful with it since my right hand is my dominant hand.
There’s probably some other injury that was weirder, but I don’t remember at the moment, so have this one for now lol
The ankle story reminds me of something that happened over last summer in 2022. It was around July and my mom, sister, and I were grabbing groceries from my mom’s car. Now, our porch stairs were a bit funky, out of the 4 of them 3 worked fine, but one, the second one from the bottom, was tilted. So as I was running out to grab more bags I tripped and landed sideways on my ankle. This is easily the worst pain I ever experienced, so much so that my brain kicked me out of control for a solid 3 seconds and made me disassociate (the first time that ever happened). When my soul finally returned to my body I called for my mom, tears rolling down my face and they had to pry me off the ground into the house because I couldn’t put weight on it. She ended up taking me to urgent care and they said my foot WASN’T broken but it was definitely screwed up. They said they didn’t offer crutches but if they wanted they could help us order some. We declined since my dad had broken his foot (and all of his toes) after an accident involving a 2000 lb tractor bucket last year. So we went home. The crutches didn’t fit me since he is a solid half foot taller than me, now we have 3 pairs of crutches in my house from various family friends giving us crutches. Skipping ahead we got an appointment with a specialist and he said that my ankle wasn’t healing right but it was only sprained and needed to be put in a boot, but I still had to use crutches, I hate crutches and after two days I only used the boot. Then after that I was in a boot until OCTOBER for a SPRAIN.
I’m intrigued abt the story involving your father and that tractor bucket
This is a perfect opportunity to tell this story; sometime last year I was on my bed relaxing when I realized that I had something to tell my mom. I stood up and began walking to my bedroom door when suddenly felt a pain in my left foot( side note; my room was kinda messy but not too much), I slowly lifted my foot up to see what happened and there was a hair clip inside the bottom of my foot.
Skip to an hour later, I was in the ER with my mom because the hair clip was stuck inside my foot. Finally got to go home around 12:00 am at night.
I can literally feel the pain from each story. I'm gonna be hurting once I finish watching this video. 🙃
Same ;-;
when i was around,7 or 8 years old, i was playing on my dad's xbox 360 (a classic, i know), while standing, pretty much on the tv. while i was playing, i didn't notice something on the floor, and so i slid on it, fell forwards, got hit on the tv furniture, and OPENED MY CHIN COMPLETELY. as you can probably guess, i got instantly brought to a hospital and they had to STITCH MY CHIN ONTO MY FACE so that i would stop bleeding. today, around 7 years later (14 years old rn), i still have a mark of it, and i know that it sounds crazy, and that's cuz it was

Us colorguard letters always had bruises all over our arms. You couldn’t go to a practice or comp without bruising yourself pretty badly. There was one part of our routine where we flipped the letters down so they were visible and our coach told us to essentially slam them down as it would look sharper. So it would be us slamming these metal banners into our already bruised arms and it hurt so bad
The weirdest injury that ever happened to me once when I sprained my FOOT I had been racing to go get water after gym and we are in a park. The fence had a weird concrete block to hold in place and a boy passed me to get first in line. This made me twist my ankle, but the weird concrete block on the fence made me twisted even more when I had fallen, I thought that had just been twisted so I continued to play the spots in gym then walk home and I almost didn’t make it home😅 but after i did my great aunt look at it and told me that it was probably sprained or I ripped a muscle I then got to be absent the next day 🤪
I love these types of animation videos because there normal 20 or more mins and have that much bright colors that are unnecessary and its art and adio witch i love
I've had a lot of weird injuries too lol but not as weird as yours, but I have three stories.
I once sewed over my finger. It was in secondary school and I was doing a mock textiles exam. I was sewing a collar and was having trouble with the bobbin (small spool of thread) which kept being unthreaded. Before I started to rethread the machine, I lifted my foot from the presserfooter (a button you step on to control the speed of the sewing machine). As i tried to re-thread the machine, my leg got tired and I put my foot down, right onto the presser footer and sewed my finger. :l it went through and then snapped. It felt like a papercut at the time and I didn't realise what had happened till I looked down at my finger. I had to go to a&e to get it removed and had to wear a weird finger sock for a week.
I've broken my nose twice. The fist time was when I was 8 and was using a tricycle as a scooter and pedaling as fast as I could and quickly standing on the back. I noticed that it was heading towards the big brick wall and instead of jumping off, I for some reason resigned to my fate like the musicials in the Titanic and stayed on till i smacked the wall face first. This one my nose didn't bleed at all which surprised me. The second time I broke my nose was when I was 12. Lunch time was almost over and bought a sandwich I didn't like so I was running back to the canteen to return it, I tripped over a kerb in the quad and torpedoed nose first onto the concrete wall of the pond. As I was falling, I told myself not to put my arms out because I didn't want to break them. This time it was a *lot* of blood.
Lol when I was three I somehow managed to spill really hot tea on myself and had to go to hospital. Like the burns were really bad to the point that my skin was peeling. Surprisingly, though my scars from that accident are quite small. Also when I was like three or four I fell down the stairs (like 1 and a half stories/my house is old and the bottom story is too short to be counted as an actual story) Seriously my mum thought I had broken my back but I just got up walked away like nothing happened. lol. Kids are hardcore.
The worst injury I’ve ever gotten was when I sprained my ankle on Valentine’s Day years ago - see, at the time, my house was on, meh, let’s say a hill and I was walking down the path when out of nowhere our German Shepard basically popped out of nowhere in front of me. Unfortunately I didn’t stop in time and ended up tripping over her, literally head over heels and on the way down my ankle turned.
Once I was at a relatives house and they were moving stuff (chairs, couches, etc) and their dog jumped over me and cut me with his nails, THE SCAR IS STILL THERE TO THIS DAY
Edit: holy, this my first time Bein highlighted
The worst injury I had was on my seventh birthday. I was wearing a cat eared metal headband and decided to a front roll on the floor. As soon as I was done my friend started screaming. My ear had been no longer on my head. The headband somehow sliced it off. My ears back on my head now at least.
DANG
“I don’t have a concussion, I’m just STUPID, HOMELESS, AND UNEMPLOYED!!” 😂😂😂
Last year in PE (freshman year), we were dressing out for the first time and doing exercises. I forgot the name of the current exercise we were doing, but when it was my turn, my clumsy self lost my balance and fell on my right arm. Now, it’s important to know that I’m right handed, I thought I was fine at first and that it was just sore, so I got an ice pack from the nurse and called it a day. But as the day progressed, it hurt to even move my arm and couldn’t even WRITE without pain. But I soldiered on for the rest of the day. And when my grandmother came to pick me up that afternoon, she obviously asked me what happened because I was holding my arm the way you do when it’s in a sling or cast, because any other position was painful. So I told her what happened and she called my mom, and we went to a clinic because the ER was most likely busy. During my X-ray, I was struggling to have my arm in the positions the nurse wanted to get good pictures because of the pain. Went home in a sling, and next day went to an orthopedic clinic to have the X-Ray pictures looked at. We had to wait a little while so during that time, I either played Among Us or listened to music. When the doctor came in the room, he said that it was either a fracture or a bone swelling (apparently bones can swell up, so the more you know I guess) and we went to the room where they put on and remove casts to get me fitted up. My cast was red. I had to wear that thing for two weeks. Got it off the day before my 15th bday. That was two weeks of being unable to draw. And it was torture cause I LOVE to draw! And after that we never dressed out or exercised again lol. Sorry for rambling.
Edit: the name of the excessive was Carioca.
The ankle one reminds me of something that happened to me lol, at a school camp I twisted my ankle on the first day but for some reason the teachers didn't really care? it was twisted so badly I could barely walk I literally got no help no even an ice pack I COULDN'T EVEN WALK UP THE STAIRS I had to go through 3 entire days with a twisted ankle 😭my teacher said "Oh it's not sprained don't worry" when my dad picked me up (he's a paramedic) he said "yeah that's definitely a sprained ankle" I WAS SO ANGRY just one other thing to note a girl on the LAST NIGHT of camp sprained her ankle (it wasn't even bad she was running around and everything) but she got help????? when I could barely even walk I didn't get help but for some reason she got help
teacher usually pick the the kid that is more lively and noisy they probably thought since you probably were not crying anything that they could go back to what they were doing unless you were in that case it is way more horrible at least that is what i think anyway my brother has always been a pessimist and a little pessimism has come off on me
Thats just straight up rude
which camp was it if u dont mind asking?
Edit: my inner child wants to cause mayhem >:)
i feel bad for u and not the other kid, this gave me a flashback when i was playing evade and i was downed, me and this other gurl had to walk up the stairs to get to the other players, the other gurl was recently downed and i was almost dying and another gurl came and picked up the other gurl and left me to die. like there was no nextbots and she literally picked her up like there was one and left me, i wouldve tooken it as a good reason to run away bcuz theres a nextbot but that gurl yeet herself upstairs and left me like i was the BaD cHiLd
This reminds me of the time I was biking to school, somehow caught my handlebars on the straps of some girl's purse and severely injured my (I think left) knee going about 20kph (~14mph). She was immediately going "Oh god are you okay?" (no damage to the purse btw) and I was like "Yeah I'm fine". When I then got to school, I was sobbing, my teacher noticed and asked if I was okay and I just went "I'm fine but this was my favourite pair of pants 😭" Luckily the pants were able to be repaired in the end
Guard is no joke fr. I sprained my wrist on a pop toss once, and I got stabbed by my saber because the electrical tape came off the end while I was tossing it.
My weirdest injury was probably falling on a metal desk when I was four and getting a scar on my eyebrow. I was running around our living room, which had a metal desk in the middle of it for some reason. My sister stuck her arm out to stop me because I was going too fast and I was going to hit the desk, I was of course, going too fast. So I tripped over her arm, sailed through the air, missed the couch, missed the pile of pillows and blankets, and hit the desk. It sliced my eyebrow and I vividly remember my siblings holding toilet paper to my eyebrow to stop the bleeding on the car ride. It got stitched up at the hospital and now I have a cool scar with a dumb story behind it.
I remember when I was younger, I was organizing my book collection under the TV in my room at my mom's old house. I was kinda squatting down so it was easy for me to turn around & get the other books I wanted to put in order from A to Z by title. (Yes, it probably sounds weird, but I blame it on OCD - I'd do weird things from rearranging my books constantly to even flipping through old current journals to count how many pages I'd written.)
Anyway, next thing I knew, I'm keeled over in pain crying because I felt my knee move and dislocate itself (probably because I moved my leg wrong while organizing my books).
My mom was taking a nap downstairs, and I had to put my knee back in place.
I also shattered the growth plates in my wrist in 6th grade while riding my bike. I'm not sure if it was a crack in the sidewalk or my shoe possibly being untied, but I flew forward in front of my late aunt's old house and skidded on the sidewalk face-first. As instinct, as quick as I flew, I placed my arm in front to catch myself which shattered the growth plates in my wrist. My teacher noticed I was in pain the next morning and had trouble holding my things, so she helped me to the nurse's office.
Then, I was sent to E.R. with my mom and had wear a cast for 6 to 8 weeks. It was for my dominant hand.
"What doesn't kill me, makes me interesting at parties"
My head:
"WHAT DOESN'T KILL ME MAKES ME STRONGER!" + "A 100 bad days, make a 100 good stories. 100 good stories make me interesting at parties"
On a related note now, the story was hella interesting and the art was amazing! I really really liked the first drawing you did with the interesting spooky lighting and mysterious reaper character. Good stuff, keep it up! 💜
THOSE SONGS ARE EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT OF TOO
Ayyoooo I love AJR!! ❤❤❤

I literally thought of the exact same things.
i did not get injured but made my mom think i was!, when i was 3 i got in to strawberry milk mix and i was eating it with my hands but it gets really red when you don't have milk with it so i was covered in it and made my mom think i was bleeding to death really funny thinking back on it lol
hearing your story made me think of the song teenagers scare the living sh** out of me except children instead of teenagers.
Oh man, the head injury bald spots. Mine are always super visible since I sport a buzz cut. I like to tell people various versions of wild animal attack stories to screw with them, made all the more convincing by the scars on my back 😆
I split my eyelid open when I was really young by rocking on my chair at school. I fell when rocking on it and hit my eyelid on either the corner of my chair or the corner of my desk splitting it on impact. It bled really badly and I was rushed to hospital but luckily, the injury wasn't too bad and I only needed butterfly stitches. Now usually that would be the end and it would heal with no problem and without even a scar... except, I'm autistic and at that time, very sensitive to certain thing and this included my stitches. Now any normal child would think "I should probably leave this to heal", not me. Turns out my mind thought it as a great idea to constantly RIP MY STITCHES OUT OF MY EYE every time the stitches were applied . I had to be monitored even more then usual because if my mum looked or walked away for just a second, I would do it again, causing blood to go everywhere and freaking out my brother and sister. I now have a nice 3 dot scar in the corner of my eye that is only now at 23 fading. All because I swung on my chair and couldn't leave my stitches alone.🤣🤣
You mentioning the pain of removing medical tape suddenly brought back the memory of me removing a dressing after a breast biopsy 😨 oh my GOD it was a nightmare to peel off
For anyone who has to endure this again: BABY OIL it makes it sooo much easier to take sticky stuff off!
i remember this happening
when i was little, i reached into the fireplace and got my hand charred and blackish around the palm. i calmly showed my parents. it had small bubbles. i was fine. no pain. (no scars left)
Your art is amazing!! How do you manage to draw flowers so well? And the shading?! Gorgeous!!
As for my own injury story, one of my uncles once threw me into the ocean so hard that it damaged part of my eye. Thankfully it healed but I had eye floaters for a while!
it’s always the sabre! my worst colorguard injury (so far) was when i tried to toss my sabre, it spun out of control, and i panicked. as it came down, it hit my knuckle, and let me tell you, it hurt. i barely survived the rest of band camp because my finger was swollen and sore. i love colorguard!!
The very first sentence threw me off so much since physical pain is one of my biggest fears lmao why am I watching this 😭😭
23:19 I stood up in an unfinished chicken coop my dad was working on and a nail went into my head :)
There was apparently a lot of blood but I don't remember anything besides my dad rushing towards me with a panicked look on his face and tears in his eyes, then standing in the shower as my mum washed the injury. ((I don't think we went to the e.r. since my mum had a 2 y.o and was pregnant, so she probably just patched me up & kept a close eye on me))
I found this video so funny, so I thought I would share a story from my childhood on how I fell over and I had almost flooded a room with my blood 😂✨
TW: Blood
Context:( The same morning I was off school and had been diagnosed with asthma and I went back to school in the afternoon)
So, I was 10 years old and was on my school playground, running around with my friends. Then, I tripped on a curb and fell over in the very gritty bit of the playground, I stood, up not feeling anything, and EVERYONE stared at me like I was dying. I looked down and saw that both my knees and my hands were gushing out blood like water dispensers, I felt weak because I was losing so much blood. So my friends had to carry me to the teacher (up STEPS 😂) and when she saw me, she looked so unamused and began to wrap the tightest bandages around my knees and hands, so my palms and lower legs were entirely white. The 1st bandages were put on very poorly and rushed. So later that afternoon, I got pulled aside and one of the nicest teachers re did the bandages, they were still tight but they weren’t done poorly. When I got back from school, my mum saw me and I immediately shoved me in the car and took me to the closest er (An hour away) and we had to wait for an hour for the nurses to bring me in and put this brownish sticky pad on my knees and then put tubular bandages on them. They said if they leaked to come back. 10 pm. I’m in bed. Spillage of yellow liquid (not the stuff that begins with p.). I think that sums it up, next morning told my mum and she drove me to the same er as before and we waited 2 hours. During that time my leg leaked all over the floor and a nurse had to help clean it up. I went to the doctor several times over the next 5 days, sometimes even two times a day! But one of the highlights was when they were taking off the brownish pads from before, (they turn into liquid an you peel them off, they are also VERY sticky) they take them off and BOOM! Waterfall number two! This time, instead of blood it was plasma (basically part of your blood) and both the nurses and my mum just burst out laughing while I was in so much pain while they took off the pads 😂. I wore shorts for the next 4 weeks, missed out on two tests and a field trip, but I got better after 4 weeks of that rinse and repeat cycle of going to the doctor everday. Thanks for reading lol it was long 😂.
The plasma waterfall almost filled a bucket with blood so a bit of exaggeration there. Sorry 😅
Wow you wrote a whole essay dude that must have taken 5 or 3 hours type all that
@@Blossom._.Kitty4930 It dosent take 5 to 3 hours to write an essay that long
Ok, I didn't know that I'm not in high school
@@Blossom._.Kitty4930 You usually start writing essays in like 5th grade 🤨
Omg your art is amazing and that first one hit hard! Such a masterpiece! ♥
Let's face it. We all have had the moments where we got injured... in ridiculous ways :'D ♥
My sister was in color guard and I band. Worst I got was getting hit in the head, back, and stomach area with color guard equipment and other instruments (It's very windy during marching season and some band kids would march way to fast or forget their spots during practice runs, and I being short and having a section constantly near the taller brass kids would get run over or whacked in the head if they went the wrong direction ;-;). Worst injury I got was a small slightly visible black eye from a runaway flag during a very windy 0 period, honestly surprised I never got a concussion. My sister on the other hand received several fractures in her hands and feet, broken fingers galore, concussions galore, and bruises. Didn't stop her from continuing in the sport throughout high school lol, but yikes man I swear the guard had more injuries combined then the band ;-;
Literally the 2 worst things that happened to me were that i was walking around barefoot (at five years old) and got stung by a queen bee because i stepped on it. And another time right after i got out of fourth grade, i was having a party with my friends and we were grilling for dinner. I had a hot dog and while i was eating, a wasp landed on my inner thigh. It stung me for no reason at all. And that’s the worst things that ever happened to me. I‘m just super introverted and don’t go out much, su i‘m rly boring to talk to
No words can describe how underrated this channel is 🤧💗
Once my mum was shouting at me and I was sad and crying so I wasn’t paying attention to my hands so I slammed my door shut and my hand god trapped in the door hinges, I thought it was just a scratch so I went to my mum crying, and my mum was like: it’s just a scratch, but then blood just poured out of it so badly, blood was clotting up on the bottom of my finger (I think my body was trying to stop the bleeding). I could like see my bone, so I was rushed to the hospital but 2 of them were closed so we had to go to one that was like 30 minutes away. They took a ex ray of my hand to make sure my hand wasn’t broken then I got stitches and bandage around it, I couldn’t write because it was on my writing hand but I wore it like a battle scar, and I still have a scar on that hand oh yeah since it was my middle finger I got to flip off everyone without flipping them off 😂😂 (2 likes and I’ll do another story about when I got a scar from a kite)
I just found your channel and this is so relaxing after doing homework. I love the art too, great video
I'm in high school doing color guard currently, I remember a couple years ago our captain tossed a sabre, I think she was trying to do a triple or something and it came slamming down into her foot. We had to get a new tarp or floor or whatever non-guard people call them afterwards, it was pretty bloody and half her foot was broken. There was also one time, not nearly as bad, but I literally got a tooth knocked out of place by a simple 45. So yeah, color guard injuries, I get it lol.
my weirdest injury was i cut my leg on some random rakes on the ground on a holiday and i still have a tiny scar to this day.
Subscription time! Damn your art is just so 👌👌👌 and your stories are really interesting to listen to as well!
Dont mind me its just been like, 4 hours and i forgot to fuckin sub UHHHHHHHHHHHH (i did just now lmao)
I have an interesting story, and it happened just last month. I have four siblings and both my parents are teachers, and we all go to the same school. Everyone was in a big hurry to get to school so my parents wouldn't be late. As I was helping everyone get outside, one of my younger sisters called for someone in the house and I went to help. Turns out, as she was getting down a jacket from a hook on a door, the border stuff around the door to our attic that was right next to the jacket door *fell of the ceiling* and had hit my sister (she was okay though). The wood was lying right in front of the door, nails sticking straight out. While standing there, I noticed that one of my other sister's backpacks was inside the room where the wood had fallen, and I went inside to grab it for her. I was being stupid and didn't look where I was going and ended up stepping straight on one of the nails. I remember just standing there and screaming for a second before lifting my foot off and going to sit down. I didn't know how far the nail had gone in or what the heck I should do, so I had my brother go get my parents. I'm sure it was not fun for my dad to walk into the house to two of his daughters crying while we were getting later and later for school.
VERY luckily, the nail was not rusty, and had gone in only about an eighth of an inch to my foot because I was wearing platform sneakers and the nail was slanty. We put on some antibiotic ointment and a bandaid, headed off to school, and my dad eventually took me to urgent care to make sure I'd be okay. That experience has led me to love platforms even more, and hope I get better at *freaking watching where I'm going.*
One day me and my mom were getting ready for a party and my mom ask if I wanted my hair straightened (I have curly hair) I say yes and she starts to straighten my hair with a straightening iron. She left me alone with the iron *FOR ONE SECOND* and I burned myself by accidentally putting my hand on her bed and the iron rolled on my and burned me
And now I have a *SICK ASS SCAR ON MY HAND*
I was in the second grade when It happened
last year I got hit by a car twice in the space of 5 weeks, the first one was 3 days after I finished my GCSEs and the second one was the day after my brother's 19th birthday (I feel so bad for him bc he was hungover af and had to help me clean up my shredded elbow at 6:30AM)
it's only funny bc it happened twice in such a short space of time
also the scar I got from the 2nd incident is pretty cool, my favourite teacher said "no getting hit by a car is too boring, you fought a bear" when I showed her
23:00 yes, peeling duct tape off my skin indeed hurts like heck. When I was 5, (not telling what I did) I had a big gauze pad duct taped to my knee for at least a week or two. Taking it off at the end of the day and having it replaced was about as bad as my injury. Finally after two weeks, I got a scab and another two weeks later, I got a rather large scar on one of the cuts, not all three.
I once cut my knee with a cup.. I was like 6 and I was getting a cup of water, I placed it in the freezer because I thought that it'd freeze a bit that it'd be really cold and my younger brother did the same.. (this was at like 8 at night) we fell asleep forgetting about it and I went in the freezer and remembered my cup in there. I saw that it was a ice block and note this; I wasn't the smartest kid, because I went to the bathroom [with the cup with a block of ice in it] and began running hot water on it. After a while I hear something fall on the floor I look down and see something clear, it was a part of the cup. My younger brother wakes up and turns a corner to where he sees me running hot water on a cup, he starts to freak out as I'm staring at him confused. I feel something on my leg and see blood running down my leg with a huge cut on my knee. I just stared at it blank and my brother goes to our parents room and wakes them up. After awhile they sat me donw on a chair and placed a towel on my knee. Btw this cut is deep! I won't go into detail for people with a sensitive stomach, but yeah it was deep. I'm still just staring at my knee confused, after a while my dad got me one of those huge bandaids and placed it on my knee.. it healed pretty good but I still got a scar of it. Oh I cried while my parents where deciding if I should get stitches or not.. ALSO me and my brother got matching scars cause he did the same thing the next day🤦🏾♀️💕
The repeat incident reminds me of when 3-year-old me got a plastic bead stuck up my nose twice in the same week
Hey I’m in colorguard! I had practice today actually, my worst injury is probably slipping on my flag during a show and really badly spraining my ankle but continued the show
:0 I didn’t know the castoff author had a YT channel! :D I saw your art style and I was like “hey this looks kinda like castoff” and then I saw the captain and I was just “oh it is castoff!”
6:56 I had a similar head wound that also involves a Pinata. I was at a cousins birthday party. (He was turning four, I was around 6 or 7 at the time) and the pinata had been broken already. It was tied to some stone stairs (it was an apartment) and was hanging with its candy on the floor. I went to go pick of the leftovers of it, stood up afterwards and, *BAM* dropped real fast holding my head, it felt like a bad bruise but when I looked at my hand... My moms perspective: sitting inside drinking with my aunt, when she hears her child screaming bloody murder. Rushes outside to her kid drenched in blood, looking at his hand and screaming, (end of mother perspective and back to mine) so I'm standing there and get rushed to the car and have to hold paper towels on my head the whole way to the hospital. When I get to the hospital the bleeding has stopped and I'm sitting there cracking jokes. My cousin walks in and hugs me, and a few hours later, we go home. I still say TO THIS DAY (eleven now) "I didn't start crying until I saw the blood." And I can still feel bita of the glue they used to heal it faster to this day. Its been 4 or five years. They said the glue would come off in 6 weeks. (End)
My worst injury happened when I was about 9. I was actually on a scooter hanging out with my friend when I decided it'd be such a great idea to run away from him as a way to play Hide 'n' Seek. I found myself in front of a narrow stone hill, how fun is that? Anyways, this hill was all crooked and the ground was all chipped at and stuff, including the fact one of the stones that had cracked off was pointing upwards. Being a stupid kid I decided to ride my scooter down the hill and right when I hit that one stone that pointed upwards I remember being flung off and put into shock. I had a deep gash on my shoulder which I still have the scar from today. Nothing else looked serious on the outside, but really my arm and rib were broken, along with a sprained finger. I had to walk all the way home in shock with people just walking past me. I now have trauma from scooters!
Not super related, but I am adoring the TAZ background music
I remembered I had it downloaded my computer and got VERY excited haha. It was all I listened to for a good long while back in 2016-17ish
@@TheStarfishface I listen to it for studying a lot because it’s banger instrumental music. Your art was in the back of one of the TAZ graphic novels right?
You are the epitome of Murphy's Law lol, I enjoy your videos and story times with your snide remarks. 😆
I, when I was six had the wonderful idea to put my finger into a pencil sharpener.
Yeah,
I healed quickly but still have no idea why I did that :/
I also did that in 1st grade but ended up clipping my nail off in the most funkiest way possible, it healed obviously but idk why I thought it was a good idea to stick my tiny pinky in the large one, after that my mom wasn’t happy when she found out
ive somehow have always had the childish urge to stick a finger nail into a pencil sharpener and see if it cuts the nail perfectly
Once i did that too lol i told the teacher and i was mad at the pencil sharpener and the teacher said “I think the pencil sharpener says that you put your finger in him and he didn’t not mean to cut you (i was bleeding a bit)” i got a bit grumpy after that
I did that too, I think at that age we don’t really know that we CAN be injured.
So, I don’t really have any interesting injuries, but I am overdramatic. When I was in fifth grade, I needed surgery for a bone disease, called osteochondromatosis. Because of this, a surgeon needed to break a bone to do the surgery. Therefore, from fifth grade, I could say that my mom paid someone to break my bones. If I was feeling creative, I could say that my mom had someone cut me up. The best thing was, not only that it was true, but I was in a wheelchair. Everyone believed until I told them, definitely boosted my mood while I couldn’t run.
When I was 3 I used to fall down the stairs a lot. I didn’t get really injured because the floor was wooden though it still hurt. Until one day I wanted to go to my basement, my basement doesn’t have a wooden floor it has a concrete floor, I fell down the stairs hit the floor head first and the moment I open my eyes I’m in the hospital with my dad. And that’s my silly injury
I was washing dishes, and I cut myself on dried cheese. Yes, there was blood. No, I don't know how I was cut by cheese.
I don’t think the cheese liked you 😅
As soon as I actually got like a hour into the video I love to drawing and I love your videos
My most weirdest injury ever was when I was rollerskating actually rollerblading sorry for the first time, and somehow when I fell down, I ended up rolling my ankle for a split second. It looked like my foot was facing backwards. I mean it was I had to go to the yard and stay in the hospital for five days.
the worst injury i ever had was when i was about 5 or 6 and my family took a vacation to Hawaii. we were walking on a beach and, because its Hawaii, all the rocks were lava rocks. lava rocks are very sharp and jagged from all the air pockets in them. i was walking and jumping on the rocks but everyone else was going too slow so i decided to start running. i remember hearing one of my parents tell me not to go so fast but of course i didnt listen. i did this sort of thing all the time on the smoother rocks back home so i felt invincible. i made one slightly wrong step and my foot slipped off and my knee landed on the rock. it tore a pretty good chunk of my skin off and was bleeding everywhere so i had to go to the hospital. i dont remember the trip there probably because i blacked out from the pain but i do remember thinking the hospital looked kinda low budget and sketchy and i was a little worried that it wouldn’t be able to adequately help me but i didnt really have the luxury to care where my help came from. im pretty sure my parents just rushed to whatever place they could find nearby. the gash almost went to the bone but the doctor said that it just barely wasnt deep enough to need stitches. in my agonized and shook state i was relieved that i wouldnt have to get stitches because i was almost more afraid of that than my injury. the whole thing kinda put our vacation on hold and i felt bad about that. i was just laying in the hotel bed with a bandaged knee sipping Advil. i remember after the pain went down a little it started to itch like crazy but i couldnt scratch it through the bandages. i dont remember how many more days we stayed there but it might have been just one more night because i think my parents booked the next flight back home. i still have a scar on my right kneecap from this
a couple years later i was riding my bike down a hill in our driveway with my friends/neighbors. the hill is short but relatively steep compared to the rest of the driveway and it branches off perpendicular to the main road so when you go down it you have to turn. well, there was a bit of loose gravel at the bottom right where we had to turn, but we had been going up and down it no problem so i was slowly gaining more confidence. both my friend and i had skidded out while completing the turn but that just made it more fun and thrilling... until it didnt. my friend was going down it at full speed without braking and i was scared to do it at first but i convinced myself. i went down without braking but on the turn my wheel skid out and i fell right on the exact spot where my knee injury was. it burst open bleeding again but i dont remember if i went to the hospital or not since it wasnt as bad as the first time. i mean, my parents probably took me anyways but i dont remember
I was playing with my friend, not that long ago( or actually pretty long ago), I was kinda dizzy from PE, since my friend accidentally hit me in the head with a jump rope, while going back to put it away while jump roping. I was walking in the the handball courts (not noticing or being noticed) and got hit and the side of my head by a handball, tripped and fell on the blacktop face-forced breaking my nose. I got picked up by an aid since my friend told him, got to the nurses office, then after a while got picked up. This was a really traumatic for me since it was years ago, and I was very young ( sorry for confusing you about how many years ago that was, lol)
I ment I almost broke my nose
even though this vid is like a year old when I'm typing this- OH WELL. so, this story takes place when I'm younger. so yk that icebreaker game that you struggle to put together and there's like a polar bear or penguin you put in the middle that you hit ice blocks around it with a plastic hammer that often broke. so that was in the middle of my living room dissembled just sitting there and i was being crazy and accidently stepped on a sharp edge with all my weight and jumped onto the couch screaming crying covering the bottom on my foot with my hand. my mom was holding me, but the pain stopped and i thought ' maybe if its bleeding i won't have to go to school.' well there was a bloody red hole in the middle of my foot it was covering most of my foot like it was HUGE the skin was like mushed into my foot. i screamed as loud as i could. my mom took a paper towel an ice pack and bandages and just put it on my foot and i surprisingly didn't go to the hospital. but i Rember thinking ' WELL I DONT HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL'
Probably the worst and dumbest ways I got hurt was when I ran into the couch so hard I broke one of my toes and then just ignored it for a few weeks/months
my most resent important injury was last year, i got a few cuts in my hand as i accidentally broke a glass panel on a door in my house and i almost got cut on the wrist, i actually got a small ultra shallow cut (just over the vein) but the two ut that bleed where on my palm close to my thumb and one of them was bleeding a lot more than the other (one was dropping like a small drop and actually looked more like a bruise for some reason) and i had to use a makeshift bandage made of cotton and that paper tape in my hand for 3 days until my grandpa could buy a real patch and it took over a week to heal and i still have the scars they are very small though and they look even lighter than the rest of my skin
My most interesting story was when I was a wee lad. So my mother was petsitting a friend of a friends dog named twitch, I was playing with him and stuff. Until I held up my pet cockatiel to him and introduced them. Twitch tried to bite my pet cockatiel and I, put my hand out and he bit down on my hand. Now I have scars all over my left hand and my thumb muscle is damaged to no repair! (I can't really move it around easily without pulling or discomfort)
In first grade I got hit in the head with a metal pole now whenever I get hit in the head with anything it doesn’t really hurt I guess it’s true that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger
My worst injury was I survived a 40 foot drop in my teens thankfully no brain damage, healed up over time & learned to walk again.
I fell 6 feet headfirst backwards out of a window onto the driveway! That was a fun day. 😃
Speaking of head wounds. I was playing basketball with one of the basketball hoops (there was water and weights on it) and so we were shooting on the net and we agreed to play king of the court and so we played and I lost 20- 17- 14 (I was 14) and so we went to go grab a drink of water and Gatorade and we the lined up was ready to play. I was under the hoop ready to get a rebound. I heard a creek and then I found myself on the ground and blood EVERYWHERE. I was too Ken inside because a BASKETBALL HOOP RIM smashed into the back of my head and slammed my forehead into the concrete. My friend’s mom said “ it’s really can barely see it.” And so it didn’t. Either than that they thought I had a concussion since when I was sitting down I couldn’t see for like 3 seconds. I’m fine now but at the time this was my first “fatal” injury like me fracturing my wrist but that’s another story
100 likes for the fractured wrist 😈😈😈
the worst inurey i’ve ever had was last year,i was in school and the swings were really popular at my school for some reson but you had to go down a ramp to get to the swings(to get to anything)so i ran down the ramp to get to the swings first but there was a little part a little taller than the ramp,i triped on it and made 5 different body parts bleed my knees my hands and my wast so instead of being able to swing i sat out of recess and then tried to use it as an excuse to get out of school(btw i love ur art)
My worst injury was when I was 7 and I jumped off. Swing trying to be cool and ended up breaking my arm in three places
I love these kinds of videos. Good narration and perfectly balanced art.
11:11 A similar thing happened to me, at school we had this big crash mat in the gymnasium where you would run and jump on it. Fun, right? Well, not really fun after I ran and jumped and turned weird midair and my top half hung off the edge of the crash mat. Now it wasn’t super tall, just up to my waist. But I was and still am top heavy, so as I tried to shimmy back up I slid and hid the back of my head full force all in one motion right on the hard wood floor. The teacher checked up on me and my legs were a little wiggly and I felt sleepy. Someone had told me a little after that to not sleep as I might not wake up for a while. I struggle now with grammatical errors and math slightly now. For example : after I hit my head sometimes I stumbled on my words, or struggled doing math problems which I thought I did right. Sorry if this was long.
The worst injury I can remember was when I was around 11ish. I was being watched by my uncle who is prone to get kids injured under his watch. I was riding one of those kid four wheelers that ran on a battery instead of gas. My stupid child brain decided to go as fast as I could on this thing and accidentally turned the handlebars too quickly/ too sharp which lead to me falling off and sliding like 10 feet across asphalt and getting a pretty big scrap on one of my cheeks. I was my uncle's first victim, but at least I got to sit with him on his dirt bike on the way back to the house to get patched up. It was nothing serious I just had to wear a large square bandage on my face for a while.
Just as a fun add on, my younger sister also wrecked on the exact same four wheeler under my uncles watch. She didn't get hurt at all since all she was doing was small donuts on soft dirt, but its funny that both of us wrecked on the same four wheeler being watched by the same person.
Ooo my most interesting injury is losing a fight to a garbage bag :D
Okay but what happened was that when I was 13, I had to take out the trash with a broken glass in it and me being a weak teen I tried doing an over the shoulder throw. Well doing that made the glass pierce threw the bag, into my side, and then into the garbage can. Yeah I got 6 stitches 👍
She proves that getting stabbed by a sharp object on a bouncy castle is unlikely, but never a zero.
