I heard Ringo talk about how his being left-handed was actually the reason for the very slight delay before each tom stroke. I've heard many attempt this song but have never heard anyone play that slight delay the way Ringo plays it on the studio recording.
The interesting thing is how the beat totally changes a minute into the song. For 20 years now I always thought it stayed the same during the entire song. The Beatles where so clever. I wonder how/why Paul came up with that idea for the drums.
Actually, I think it seems “different” in part because that downbeat on the verses is always a bit LATE. As Ringo explained it, this (along some of Ringo’s other rhythmic idiosyncrasies and “innovative” patterns) came about because basically, he’s a left-handed guy trying to play a right-handed kit. There is literally NOTHING fancy or complicated about it besides that. I’ve noticed that many Ringo impersonators (including Beatles tribute bands like The Fab Four) fail to capture the lateness in that downbeat properly, probably because they are approaching it as a classically trained RH drummer “should” do it on RH-setup drum kit.
i'm not a drummer but i instantly know that drum beat at the end of the song is not how it's supposed to sound. i then watched their live performance in Blackpool and i knew it was really different how Ringo hit those drums.
we do not play to a click track, we track to the actual song, which was not done to a click. As a general rule beatles songs to slow down throughout I’ve noticed. So you can get a bpm of the beginning middle and end to see what the average BPM is
@@neilcandeloramusic Yes, thanks for answering. Actually, I was referring to whether the tempo changed in the different sections of the song, because it seemed to me that when they sing "I don't know why ..." the tempo sped up, but I don't think so. well, greetings friends, bye

Oh dude, for the longest time he was doing flams lol.
9/10… You were supposed to stand up while playing.
Jk this is spot on.
And ditch all other parts of the kit other than the snare
And make salad

I wonder if it was a mistake or intentional, either way, it’s perfect
Was it Paul’s idea?
@@Caifo I’ve always heard the main beat was Paul’s idea
@@Caifo Yeah, apparently Paul came up with the drums for TTR.

@@neilcandeloramusici love you neil ♥️♥️
@@neilcandeloramusic can you give time stamps? I'm not sure how it changes.
Best pop song ever writen
It's rock n roll
After 1.40 the bass drum pedal actually looks like Ringo nodding his head in a stripey jacket ! Great video !
wow, had no idea the beat changes!
Great beatles song and drums. So good.
niiiice! and great sounding kit
Very Awesome 👏

Thank you!
Great. Thank you.
Love it!😁
Nice cover
The drums dictate the variety of the composition.
GooD)))))))
This drum beat was invented by Paul.
what's your source for that
is the bpm is the same in the whole song??? (its seems changes sometimes)
The bpm likely changes. You can use this to find out www.all8.com/tools/bpm.htm

Where is the tambourine and high hats?
Rad
you should’ve been standing
Is that a packet of cigs on the snare, and if so why?
I’m pretty sure to muffle the sound of the snare I think
You should try everybodys trying to be my baby, the electric one, the acoustic sounds a little boring
I actually rerecorded that one a while back when I was borrowing the J160. Probably won't have it up for a while but I could put it on Patreon
@@ablyhouseisolated nice, take as much time as you want buddy, it's stressful putting out all this music in the matter of months. Thanks

great job...learn something today.... ugly sock through,,,,,,... maybe a Ringo sock.... hahha

Seems so simple but it's hard to swing and keep behind the beat like that for such a long time.
