So many of the new million dollar homes in the Eagle area of Idaho are all using black tiles, white walls and gold faucets. I will never be a fan of gold faucets and am not sure about black tiles for cleaning purposes.
In the late 70’s a friend had a black sink and black tiles. In the early 80’s it looked like shite with hard water deposits, and every piece of lint showing.
I used honed calacatta oro porcelain slabs from bedrosians for my kitchen countertops, backsplash and bathroom vanity and backsplash (I live in a 1 bed, 1 bath condo) and it turned out great. love it!!!
Oooooh...we have updated every room in our home and next up is the Power Powder room! I told my hubby...it's going to be a jewel box!! All he said was "$$$$$" LOL Thank you for the inspo as always
I love when you give us the namebrand products and where to go find them at it just helps me to purchase what I want so that when I do my remodel, my contractors not buying it and charging me extra because he went and bought it! Thanks, Lisa as always some great ideas

I decided to get out my iridescent gold leaf sheets out and gold leaf squares on my entire wall of my powder room with very pale aqua walls for the rest and natural bamboo.
I kept my green 3x3 tiles, cast iron art deco tub and vanity in my 1955 ranch home. The walls and ceiling are bright white. I replaced the fixtures with vintage style chrome faucets and the flooring is a neutral, but colorful vintage tile. It looks classy and fits in with the style of my home.
Thank you very much: the tankless style we do have in Germany for sometime now ... But, I believe you know that already. Thank you for wonderful videos ...
A lot of these inspos look gorgeous, but are inpracticable, if you have to clean it yourself, if you have disabilities or if you don't have te money to change it, if the trend is gone.
Agree. I’m in my late 60’s. Just redid my master bath. Classic marble. ADA compliant fixtures. Added a handheld in the shower with an extra long reach, and a little holder for it if I have to sit on my teak bench ( Warner than tile and I can put it where ever I like/ need it). Added ADA grab bars. Got rid of the tub. Did a large modified curbless shower so when I wind up using a walker it will be easy to get in. Even found a company that has dryer/ curling iron holders that fit in front of the sink pull out like in a kitchen. I’m all set!!
Not to crazy about the new neutrals. I'm just a colorful type. Love color! HATE gray, worked as a medical professional for years and gray is a color I refuse to put anywhere. .lol It's all good, seen trends go in and out. It's all preferences and what each person wants.
I don't understand how you have your bath stuff when you have one of those slipper tubs with no edges or shelves. And how do you deal with the wall hung toilet when something goes wrong with the interior plumbing if it's behind the wall?

Well, darn. I was hoping you would say my bubble gum pink 4x4 bathroom tiles from the 70’s are all the rage. Seriously, tho, everyone who sees it tells me not to remodel. Torn.
I'd keep the tiles and change up paint, wallpaper and accents. Maybe put a pale grey with it and some bamboo. Or dark walnut wood with a warm milky coffee brown. Or lean into the colors and add a pale green and another accent color with some natural light wood to calm it down. I think there's ways to update the vintage tile while modernizing. You'll need to regrout though so that it doesn't look chipped and stained.
@@mellie4174 Thank you so much for the great suggestions! The wallpaper that is in there is actually quite nice. The bamboo idea really fits because there is a cherry blossom shower curtain in there now.
I have a free standing tub with a separate shower in my new condo. I wish they had just put the shower in the tub with storage around. The lack of built ins around the tub really makes it seem cheap and that the only effort put in was to make it look luxurious, not actually be luxurious. It's my tub, I'm not taking a basket of toiletries from tub to shower. Also it takes up valuable under sink storage
How would you feel about those stand-alone tubs? I am not getting my leg up and over the tub walls too easily. Plus, I use my tub to bath my grandkids, so I can't see the practicality here. They do look nice though.
Whatever happened to function? Dark showers absorbs light and show everything. Then the one with the big round mirror between the 2 sinks? And the crazy patterns would make me crazy. At least a few have storage! I agree that power rooms should be off the hook!
Slab on floors would be a slip and slide . Flooring needs to be slip resistant first and foremost especially in a bathroom or kitchen. I am all for ditching the tub shower combo. Only good for kids. Most of you examples are homes well above million dollars and not all that practical for average folks.
See my answer to @bluemoon8268 . In Germany, this is standard, standing toilets with visible tanks are very dated here and not very common. It works without problems, if the installation is properly done.
I always find it funny when Americans discover a new “trend”, tankless toilets in this case, that has been a common thing in Europe in decades. I was born in Germany in the 70ies and didn’t encounter toilet with tanks until I moved to the US. What’s next handheld shower heads???

Lisa, I absolutely love your depth of knowledge and enthusiasm. ❤❤❤
Hi, Lisa, love your new glasses- Sassy❤❤❤
I painted my little powder room a warm brownish black, including the ceiling, and I just love it!
That peachy tile bath is absolutely gorge!!!!
My 1940's traditional house came with peachy pink tiles in the bathroom....guess how fast they disappeared?
Great job,Lisa. J’adore 🎉
Lisa, you are wonderful!
Thank you so much for sharing all of your knowledge, you and your team are wonderful!!!!
Thanks for watching!

With restraint I like em....

Gold taps just say "NFL Star's wife" or "recently famous rapper".

That is awesome! GO FOR IT!!!!!
Very well done and excellent information and sources. Thanks, Lisa.
Glad it was helpful!
All this gives me a headache and I’m sure 10 years from now they’ll say”what were they thinking or smoking?”
I'm not sure it will take 10 years for that.

Beatiful designs adopted by those paying someone else to clean for them :-)
Always !!
I think so too!
Fabulous Bathroom Video!!
Glad you liked it!Thanks so much Beverly! xo L

Lisa like your hair !!
Yay! thanks
That blue tile shower is lovely, but it screams “I’ll be impossible to keep clean”.
Oy vey, ....yes, OY VEY. 😮
You have to clean the tiles no matter what color
Wow some realy interesting combos
Such great ideas. Thank you 😊
You are so welcome!
?? Lisa, in the bathroom with hexagonal tile, is that a stone baseboard?? Love it by the way.
Nice ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!

Good luck keeping the dark tiles, etc. clean. It's going to show everything. I personally think it's a bad idea.

That stone everywhere is too busy. You'd get sick of it after 1 day.
Your eval of some of Keith’s designs (esp in bathrooms) from Bargain Block would be interesting.

What is the name of the waterproof plaster, Lisa? Thanks

The green/blue fish scale was everywhere a few years ago - now it's back?
Can you please tell me where you got your eye glasses you wear in the short explaining how to decorate a vignette

Some of tubs remind me if 70s looking. Just updated
… I wonder what happens with the toilet tank behind the wall when the flapper needs replacing … surely, the technology must be different …
There is usually a panel to access it
Go and look at one in the shops. It's a totally different technology
I can't even afford stone on my L shape kitchen countertops.... can't imagine a whole wall! Lol 😂
Those trends are not timeless and if/when you intend to sell, may not appeal to home buyers.
Lotta 'good luck cleaning the mildew off' in these...
You got that right!

Wet marble floors are very slippery. Be careful for those of you who do the floors that way.
Chair Height toilets. Lots of GenX and Boomers out there going to benefit from them :)
I’m getting older and want very light white bathroom.
Go big or go home!
How would you feel about those stand-alone tubs? I am not getting my leg up and over the tub walls too easily. Plus, I use my tub to bath my grandkids, so I can't see the practicality here. They do look nice though.

So much impracticality. I woud have nightmares if I used some of these overdone bathrooms in the middle of the night. Like the warm looks though.

It's inspo!
So pretty by so quickly dated
Too much marble looks like a mausoleum, lol!
Uhhgggg, no thanks, i’ll keep my white.

how to deal with a clogged toilet when the tank is in the wall?
Same with the facets. If there is a leak, it is behind the wall.
I don’t have either so I don’t know the answer
There's an access panel, it's not too hard, just well hidden.
See my answer to @bluemoon8268 . In Germany, this is standard, standing toilets with visible tanks are very dated here and not very common. It works without problems, if the installation is properly done.
Really? I live in a city. People don't have bathrooms that large.
I always find it funny when Americans discover a new “trend”, tankless toilets in this case, that has been a common thing in Europe in decades. I was born in Germany in the 70ies and didn’t encounter toilet with tanks until I moved to the US. What’s next handheld shower heads???
So true! The US is a little behind Europe for sure!
I suppose if you have the 💰to do these things then you have the 💵 💵💵 to change them when you realize that you hate it. 💸
At 4:15 that marble design looks like “something” or is it me?
These are such ugly trends.
Resins not rosins.
Girl, you were in the bathroom and didn't brush your hair? sigh...
