Grief hallucinations are extremely common. It's a well-known stage in dealing with incomprehensible loss, built on memories, longing, and wish fulfillment. And I say this as a parent of a child who was murdered and who experienced such moments of thinking I heard, felt, smelled, or saw my son. The strength to survive such terrible loss comes not from ghosts but from within ourselves and from our knowledge that our loved ones would want us to go on. But if some people think their hallucinations are real and it comforts them, who are we to take it away from them? As long as they don't let such experiences take over their lives or become more irrational and unable to deal with reality, it isn't really harmful to indulge such fantasies about visits from dead loved ones.

Just think in 1980s ww2 was a mere 30 years later. Aka post war babies were very much a big phenomenon and they were only 30 something. 2019 I’m in my 40s and I was born very close to the 80s.
I would never call these hallucinations, I believe it’s something beyond anything you could imagine. I really believe the dead have their ways of contacting you and letting you know it’s gonna be ok. I’ve seen my deceased grandparents many times, my grandpa always tells me that he and grandma are keeping an eye on me and that they’re still with me in spirit. I’ve even seen my dad’s one best friend who passed on in 2022, he actually gave me a message to give to dad! He said “please tell your dad I’m ok and I’m not hurting anymore.” I also have two friends in heaven and they both have visited me. One passed away just after high school graduation and she said it was so good to see me again, the other who died of cancer said she’s ok and I don’t need to be sad. I even asked her “we’re still friends right?” And she smiled and said “Halloween buddies for life!” Since we shared a love for Halloween that was our version of friends forever!

I do believe in the after life because I have personally seen lost love ones an I do smell and feel there presents around and I have also seen an hear my lost love ones before an till this day I still do the only thing that is difference is that our lost love ones there body's are not here physically but there spirits are around
You are right - there are no such thing as a ghost but there are visions. My father died after a long illness. My mother had been dead for 19 years. There are 4 of us kids and were all tired. And although we grieved we knew that Daddy had lived a good 84 years. About 4 months later I was asleep and all of a sudden we (my brothers and sister) were standing outside a bedroom door. I could see Daddy in bed and Mama was busy doing things in the room, acting just like Mama-always moving. She looked at us in the doorway and said, "Ya'll go on now, I'll take care of him." That was it. I woke up the next morning and knew that I had saw Mama and Daddy in heaven together. I never dream or if I do I never remember them. So I had a vision. The Bible is full of visions so why should we be surprised when God gives us one? No ghost cause you don't come back until Jesus comes back. Hope this helps you understand what happened to these people. If you are a skeptic that is OK cause I was one too.
