Kevin Magnussen: “I have to say that was some of the best racing I’ve ever been involved in,” Magnussen confessed. “The way he drove was just incredible. It’s almost like I feel privileged to be able to race against someone like that,” he continued. “It’s great, and I’m going to take that lesson and treasure it.
“Racing against him, it doesn’t feel like it’s at the end of his career. Just great driving from him.”

K-Mag had his first dance against Seb at Spa in 2014, and that was a cracking battle too, even though K-Mag went over the line once or twice with his defense. He was holding up Seb, Jenson and Alonso for the longest time until Seb finally got him into La Source. I remember watching him defend against Seb, JB and Alonso thinking "Wow, this K-Mag guy is holding off 3 World Champions with 7 WDCs between the lot of them! He's definitely future race-winner material, if not more!"

I think the key here is before the triple right hander, he tries to slow down more in a straight line so he cut back inside and get a quick exit so he go round the outside in the triple right handers. It leaves him having to turn a lot more and a lot earlier but he gets on the power a lot earlier too

We usually only take a single line as the "racing line" however I think that the racing line changes if you're going a slower speed in a given corner. Like this one, or the chicane right after the 2nd straight in Abu Dhabi, taking another line while slower can end up letting you carry more speed.

I mean this isn't a fast line regularly. He loses a lot of time on the corner where he overtakes. But obviously the idea of this line is purely to get the inside line for that corner and overtake so it's really smart driving by Vettel.
