- We can now Install Windows 11 or Windows 10 on the Raspberry Pi 4 without using a PC! We can do it all from the Raspberry Pi running a Debian-based OS like Raspberry Pi OS thanks to the all-new WoR Flasher from Botspot This will Word with a Micro SD Card, USB Drive M.2 SSD or a 2.5" SSD and in this video, I show you how to get this up and running on your raspberry pi so you can easily install Windows 11 on your Pi.

Wondering if WiFi is now working as this image still seems quite bearish to me. Do you still need to go into the bios with the latest update ?
This was great! I got Windows 11 installed on my Pi 400 after only one retry - the disk prep hung the first go round, but went fine the second try.
This is really huge. Thanks a lot. Could you also make a video on "securing windows 10/11" in pi. I know, windows keeps a lot of ports open by default. But can we just keep only those ports open that are really needed for windows to function and close everything else in pi?

how do i access to the settings with the ESC key when starting up the Rasspberry? all i get when i do that is the bootloader screen
Thanks for the great guide! One question though, having a bit of a problem with setting mine up.
Everytime I go through the WOR Preinstallation setup, and select my destination disk it'll complete the installation, re-boot, and then put me right back to that same setup page. Never the final windows 11 setup walkthrough.
Any idea what's going on?

Nice instructions. Worked the first time for me. I could really use this but it does not support USB Serial Drivers.
It would be really a big step forward if RPi started to be able to load balance the CPU power automatically if I connect more than 1 together with GPIO or something, so RPi is no longer stuck at having 4c/8t, processing power scales. I am not looking at application level, I am looking for OS level. E.g. somehow RPi has docker architecture at OS level to schedule jobs to other RPi cpu cores. So in the Raspberian OS, it thinks that it has 16c/32t when connecting 4 RPi together. This is gonna be fun! Cheap solution that could achieve something demanding

Hi ETA I followed all this carefully but I got an error that said it couldn't access use my ext hard disk it said to use DL-DTR to configure this, any ideas about what is happening and how I can fix it? I have the PI4 and Toshiba EXT 128 which is on the PI screen.
Will hyper-V work from within Windows? Have a specific need for this but if anyone can tell me it would be appreciated. Thanks

I want to use this to run a monitoring application, so cost is more important to me than speed or space. I'm just using a flash drive (32GB) for now, but is there a way to clone this as an image or just copy it to another flash drive? It would be great if I could bypass the install process and only have to deal with the BIOS setup. Thoughts?

I've followed all your steps.. but when i take out the raspberry micro sd card and keep pressing "esc" doesn't boot. Do you had this issue before?
I know it takes like 5 times longer to flash than from PC but it's so much more convenient, also I noticed windows 10 runs alot better, I think it has to do with the scheduler changes and such they did with windows 11, though I might be wrong

I have used WoR Flasher to install Windows 10 on a non-generic 256GB micro sd card. When I put the new windows 10 sd card in, there is just a blank screen and after about 10 seconds the red and green indicator lights fade out but the pic is still on. I also cannot seem to get that menu when you press ESC. Any help? I’m really stuck
So I have a problem with the setup, I found nothing on the internet so if eta prime could respond to it himself if you know anything about it it’d be appreciated. So I’d like to say I’m about halfway through the setup process when it asks me to pick a Wi-Fi, but nothing pops up except for Ethernet which I don’t have, is there anyway to fix that and have it show the Wi-Fi? for some reason i do the steps one by one and when i get to the installing part it keeps saying disk not found
What do people get for disk speeds in on a USB 3 external SSD?? I get around 300MB/s in Linux but the same disk does not go any further than 95MB/s in Windows. I wonder if the drivers aren't optimized yet. Right now the experience is like running Windows 11 on a hard disk instead of an SSD.

whats the current state of drivers for it. IIRC lot of drivers are never coming (GPU...).
Hi. Can I use your method and install Windows on to fast micro SD card but then boot Windows from a micro SD but using internal micro sd slot or micro sd must be used with adaptor and in USB port? It would just look a lot more nicer. Thank you

you used one dongle for keyboard and mouse, by the looks of it. Are sufficient usb ports functioning to do this with a separate wired mouse and keyboard?

Wow EtaPrime exciting stuff! You said it's a bit rough round the edges, and we're stuck with ethernet for internet. Where are we currently with WiFi? I want to run windows astro photography software on a Pi4 (it seems to be mostly .NET stuff so I'm hopeful). But the kit has to run wireless in the backyard, and remote desktop into it. Are we going to need to wait years here, or just a few months for fixes? Whats you're call on that?

I have the issue that it says I need more space and I dont know. I do like you do but it is like it says my main SD card needs to have like 9 GB free space. The new sd-card I use have 128 gb and I choose it while trying to install.
Seems quite rare, im new to this.
The installation went well, but when I power off the Raspberry Pi and removed the SD card, with my SSD still plugged in the Pi at bootup tells me to insert the SD CARD back in, what did I miss?
So I did this and installed on a USB 3.0 flash drive. Apparently that is too slow so I am going to try again with an external SSD. It works, but gives me a paging file error even though I have set it manually.
This is huge! Maybe OS developers COUGHmicrosoftCOUGH will take note that ARM-based SBC are here to stay.
Official Windows 10 ARM does in fact exist as does Window 11 ARM :)
no need to wait.... the rpi of any generation still will not have video acceleration support for windows or android so don't keep your hopes up.
@@Tailslol the pi was made specifically for Linux/Raspberry Pi OS so it's expected. The best experience is the one delivered by the Raspberry Pi Foundation itself.

What am I doing wrong ,followed this video to a tee. Flashed to to external USB or HDD. Or goes to plan .turn off pi,take SD card out ,reboot with usb or HDD in.nothing.does boot up.greeb light doesn't come ,like it won't boot from external .any help please
That's cool. Wonder if it runs anything though? Maybe try LB and a few emus.
ETA PRIME, how well does it function for BT/WIFI if using a dongle?

i'd like to install Windows 10 or 11 but not if there are too many drivers missing, in that case I'd rather stick to Manjaro OS

Hello! I have a quick question. I am doing a car project, and I need to run an android app on my raspberry pi. I have not been able to find an emulator for any of the arm Linux distros for raspberry pi 4. But I think I read somewhere that windows 10 arm is able to install emulators for Android.
Is there any advice you can give me, I just bought a new ssd and wifi dangle since I know windows has to use Ethernet. Do you know if we are able to run Android apps on raspberry pi with windows 10/11 arm64 ?

still can't get this to work it installs then doesn't reboot to set it up. forst time 8t did then failed second time it doesn't reboot after i stalling and turning the power off and back on when it wont reboot automatically messes it up. it pops up and error

Can you set "Virtualization enabled in firmare" after installing windows 11 on raspberry pi 4. The WSL is not available because it's set virtualization to be disabled in firmware. Raspberry pi 4 is produced to enable virtualization in firmware. Please check this out.

Quité la SD con PI OS e introduje en la que copié Windows 10 u 11 (SD clase 10 32GB) y la raspberry se me queda en negra la pantalla, y el bombillo rojo (cosa que pasa cuando no tiene algún sistema operativo la SD)

Hello, I've flashed windows 10 from the wor flasher and I've booted it up normally, set it up until I get to the Wi-Fi connection. So, I said I don't have any internet because I don't have ethernet, I know you mention that Wi-Fi is a problem, but I've watched lots of tutorials and they are no help because they don't show anything on how to install a Wi-Fi driver onto windows 10. Wi-Fi ins't showing on adapter settings as well, so I was wondering whether you could give me any help on how to install a Wi-Fi driver if I have no internet on windows, and make it show up on adapter settings in control panel? Thanks for this, amazing video tutorial. I have a problem though, I have installed and made this work flawlessly like 5 times, but once I install docker on windows installed on raspberry pi 4 it fails to boot after docker asks for a reboot.

It now stops with error, when trying to download the image from UUPDUMP. SSL/TLS handshake failure: not signed by known authorities or invalid 'expired.

This is a really cool tutorial and looks like it should work. After installing the flasher and choosing the os and device type, the flasher tells me that uupdump net is down. Did the website get taken down?
