I remember that fight and honestly, if he brought charizard and infernape it would have been different. But he fought well and I wish we could figure out his last four pokemon.
He could have bring Charizard but I guess infernape was severely injured after that Paul's match. He hard carried the whole match by taking damage from 4 Pokemons.
For sake of being gen 4 anything released after gen 4 can't be on his team same with lake guardians, creation trio, & arceus. If I take into account everything I know about gen 4 & prior his team was MOST LIKELY THE FOLLOWING: 1.Darkrai 2.Latios 3.Latias 4.Cresselia 5.Celebi 6.Scizor

I think Heracross was a good choice as he gave a good fight but I think Ash should have chosen Quilava Or Charizard instead of Torkoal as Torkoal didn't tried a little but instead of Swallow, Charizard should be chosen as Charizard have defeated Articuno so he can battle very effectively and even defeat that pokemon
