To summarize it all, we can confidently say that one has to survive the Russian persecution as a person of islamic faith to be the greatest in combat sports.
@Mark Rodriguez A person couldn't be more ignorant. More than 17 million inhabitants of Russia were killled by Stalin and his communist comrades following the World War II. No country would voluntarily give up its indepence and surrender to Communists. Majority of people never considered themselves Russians in the south Caucus region. Since the fall of communism in Russia, tens of thousands of people were massacered in Ingushetia, Chechneya, Abhkhazia, Tatarstan in addition to through the proxy wars by the order of the former KGB liutenant colonel and current dictator leader Putin of Russia that constantly instigate terror in Ukraine, Georgia, Krygzstan, and other areas.
The caucuses were a relatively moderate place before Turkey and Saudi Arabia started pouring money into them. Think of places like Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Or even Albania.
@@UAGoWSuplexer Yes, Russia and Ukraine are in conflict and a ceasefire is in place currently. I am sure the outcome of the war in Nagorno Karabakh has renewed the confidence of the Ukrainian nationalist movement. Ukraine has started a UAV development project with Turkey while they also bought many UAVs from Turkey recently. They are being trained and testing the new drone technology. This is a clear sign that the Ukrainian military is preparing itself for a new war with the Russian militias in Crimea. Russia cannot attack Ukraine directly which would be considered an invasion by a foreign entity similar to the conflict in Azerbaijan's occupied territories which will involve NATO. Let's remember it was mainly the Turkish UAVs which have won the war for Azerbaijan. Turkey's support has also helped the Syrian Opposition to recover a lot of areas from the Assad regime supported by Russia. Also, the Libya's Tripoli government recovered many areas with the help of the Turkish UAVs in Libya from the Eastern Libya militias supported by Russia. In the predominantly Muslim Southern Caucus region, things appears to be calm after many bloody conflicts in the 1990s. They are weak and their lives being monitored heavily just like in Xinjiang-China. Any weakness in Russia or Russia being involved in multiple conflicts in the region will only support more uprising in those areas because first that's what history tells us; secondly, they really have strong dislike for the Russian oligarchic regime that goes centuries back.

I'm not sure what the reason is, but I'm happy and proud that we are finally out there at the frontline of the world's leading fighting championships. And though I'm from Azerbaijan, I do say "we" because people of the Caucasus... are... brothers.

I would've liked to see him fight a few more times against some better competition before putting him in there with someone who has one of the best winstreaks in the sport rn..
@premature ejaculator Lol why would I of thought he would lose to Meerschart its clearly a lay up fight he was meant to win.. This is a completely different level, we havn't seen anything to suggest he could beat Leon Edwards.. He hasn't even had a fight last a round in the UFC yet.. Doing that to those last opponents doesn't mean anything when they are lay ups, its to get suckers like you invested.
@premature ejaculator What do you mean what will my excuse be? I am nothing to do with him why would I care if he wins or loses. I'm a fan of the sport not certain fighters. The best man always wins. I'm saying i havn't seen enough of him to pick him over Leon Edwards, who I know to be very good.
I really hope we get to see Khamzat again. Even thought he didn't get to fight a ranked opponent I think he is a very special fighter. The way he could seamlessly transition from MW to WW, his composure in the ring, his confidence in himself -- he was truly impressive. It may be a stretch to say this since I only saw his few fights but I think he could have taken Izzy out.
@J M It's so cliche a typical these days to be "spiritual, not religious". And of course; religion has and still gets used as a tool... But literally anything in life. From sex, food to guns will tell you, people can use a good thing very badly. Especially if it's a powerful thing. And just because there are different answers doesn't mean there isn't one truth. 'Organised' isn't even a bad word. Look a life, look at the 'universe' and tell me everything isn't supposed to be organised.
Mashallah, may Allah protect and bless him and also help him and also keep him on the straight path.
@@lambent123 Does Russia still have problems in Ukraine and other countries?? And did they also kill people places like Dagestan

Bla bla bla. Keep hating.
YeahThe Boyz hating? Sounded like a compliment to me.
He ain’t shit😂 look at who he has fought lmfao, all of them suck, I bet Bryce Mitchell would school this kid
at 170 he can dominate in my belief with good coaching, at 185 he will struggle against the elite he is too small for them . im not saying it's impossible he wins but it's hard fought.. he should stay at 170 untill he is champion and become a big 170 over 200 pounds walking weight like usman.. and when the weight cuts become too much at 170 go up to 185 in one big fell swoop gain more muscle mass and fight the best and try take over there too
He’s beating guys who arent even In the top 25 man. Thompson didn’t even want to fight him because he’s unranked let him move up and fight real competition then ride the hype train.

Hey Peter, nice job on narrating the video
I watch this video at least once a week, I cant wait for the new hype video once/if he destroys Edwards. His attitude and drive is something else, no one comes in to the UFC, has 3 fights, in 2 different weight classes, in 66 days, complete dominance, only 2 "strikes" landed on him, 3 performance bonuses and gets on the mic saying his goal is #1 pound for pound fighter. We are watching the next goat maybe.
The commentary in this video is impressive as Khamzat himself
Indeed.

He's chechen, not swedish nor russian
since khabib is dagestani is he considered russian?
He is a Swedish national kid. So yes he is Chechen by birth, but he is a citizen of Sweden.
Chechnya is a part of the Russian Republic! They are the northern Caucus people, they are Russian due to belonging to the republic just like Khabib of Dagestan. He is born in Chechnya but moved to Sweden and became a Swede citizen.
He was born there but to become a Swedish citizen you have to relinquish your citizenship of your country so he is Swedish at this point not Chechen his heritage is Chechen
Of course he is chechen. A paper wont make you sweden.

"Conceived during an airstrike, born on rubble" killed me lol. This mans commentary can make genocide a joke
I grew up in Azerbaijan, among the incredible warrior spirit of our people; of course I've known of our great wrestling academies, all over the Caucasus region (but especially Dagestan). As a kid I've always wondered, "Howcome the world doesn't know about us? Howcome our fighters are not known?" I'm not sure what the reason is, but I'm happy and proud that we are finally out there at the frontline of the world's leading fighting championships. And though I'm from Azerbaijan, I do say "we" because people of the Caucasus... are... brothers.
"I am The Wolf, brother"

From hysterical laughter to deep sadness what a job the commentator did on this emotional ride of a video... good for KC... what a tough life he must've had..
Imagine if he’s able to beat a 3rd ranked Leon Edwards for a 4th consecutive win all in one year, could be getting a title shot in 2021
And if he wins WW title, straight to MW title
I really think this was terrible matchmaking. Leon Edwards is noooo joke, I wouldn't be surprised at all if he dominates Khamzat. I would've liked to see him fight a few more times against some better competition before putting him in there with someone who has one of the best winstreaks in the sport rn..
@premature ejaculator You are a casual if you think this is an easy fight for Khamzat..
GERALD MEERSCHAERT: He's definitely gonna need a few weeks to recover after the fight even i do lose
Khamzat: OK 🤭😂
He was right tho, khamzat stil not fighting
I really hope we get to see Khamzat again. Even thought he didn't get to fight a ranked opponent I think he is a very special fighter. The way he could seamlessly transition from MW to WW, his composure in the ring, his confidence in himself -- he was truly impressive. It may be a stretch to say this since I only saw his few fights but I think he could have taken Izzy out.
The whole thing is weirdly wholesome and touching, god bless him and his family
Unlike when other people say bro. When Muslims call you bro they definitely mean it like my brother , just saying
J M brother what I meant is that is Islam every Muslim is your brother so when you are raised that way you believe it
@J M It's so cliche a typical these days to be "spiritual, not religious". Anyone who follows martial arts or sports in general should know that discipline achieve success. I'd go on, but people hate being 'preached' to, and I'll leave it to anyone sincerely interested to continue this discussion.
