Good Afternoon Sir. Sir In Ind AS 41 we measure agriculture produce at point of harvest at fair value less cost to sell.
but then when it is further processed it becomes agricultural produce after the point of harvest and is dealt under IND AS 2 Inventories
The fair value less cost to sell becomes the cost if inventory.
But I have read in IND AS 2 text that the measurement principle of IND AS 2 Inventories ie we measure inventory at cost or NRV whichever is lower is not applicable on commodity broker traders who measure inventory at fair value less cost to sell and it is also not applicable on producers of agricultural products, forest products, mineral resources and agriculture produce after point of harvest. ie these are measured at NRV. Sir, first please tell me whether I am correct. and if yes how will we then initially recognize agriculture produce after point of harvest and also subsequently on the balance sheet date. Will we compare cost and NRV which seems wrong in the light of above provision or we will value it at nrv only as stated above.
Hope you will answer my doubt asap.

See, Ind AS 2 measurement principle is N. A. on : ( i.e. it will not be valued at lower of Cost Or NRV)
1. Mineral and Mineral products as per industry standards - valued at NRV only
2. Inventories of commodity brokers - valued at FVLCTS

Sir we have to add difference of cost and nrv to closing stock valuation calculated as per igaap?in which paragraph of Ind as it is written?
Igaap means accounting standards, ind as won't be incl
That diff bw cost and nrv is for by product and joint product i.e total cost minus the nrv of by product shall the cost for joint products and among the joint product, cost shall be allocated based on their sale value
