I was born here, my parents are from here, so are my grandparents etc. plus im sure it wouldn’t be as one would think to just up and move your whole life somewhere completely new. When I made this comment it was more so jokingly- I just recognize how times were different back then but I’m sure it would’ve still been a beautiful experience in its own way. I was having severe anxiety last night so of course here i was on RUclips looking for a musical asmr fix and i came across this. I laid there for a good ten minutes and i felt so at peace, i drifted off to sleep in the most peaceful way ever. I never wanna lose this video. I will be using it every night from now on.

It feels like my name is Jane, it’s my prom night of 1954. The music is playing, people are dancing. However I feel a bit blue, so I stepped outside into a garden gazebo facing a pond. Crickets are singing and I am thinking whether Jonny is dancing with someone else tonight..

So many gals with their beautiful dresses and perfumes and the guys trying not to act like they do in school; no matter how much they try, it never works! I caught COVID (second time, and I am vaccinated…I work in the medical field) and I was so sick I couldn’t sleep. I was at my wits end and starting to feel anxious and depressed when I found this video. I put my headphones on, made myself as comfortable as I could and closed my eyes. I don’t know when I actually fell asleep but I woke up almost 8 hours later feeling better than I had in over a week! Thank You Nemo! Thank You thank you! I am a big fan now! Subscribed and donating!
This just brings such a sweet feeling to my heart. I was born in 1955, and it was such a different time. Everything wasn't perfect, but it was a happier society in some ways. More free.
I feel that, I was born in early 2000’s so I have no idea what it felt like to live in that time, but I know exactly what you’re describing about it feeling more “free”. And even after not experiencing that feeling at all, I still somehow miss it
Not more free. Just less bound to technology. People are more free today, thanks to more information being available to almost everyone and a new age of way more tolerance towards everything/everyone.
That’s what my grandma says. She was born in 1939 tho. They didn’t have much but they were just happy people. Much more free then now a-days

Same here! I think it’s because, the time of simplicity, innocence of less for more. Music that warms the cockles of your heart & warms up the soul.
Makes me wonder what it would have been like to meet the great grandfather I was named after.
He passed a few months before I was born. He loved classic rock, older songs, working on his baby blue Chevy and deep red Ford, both classic models by the time he passed and spending his days outdoors. I never knew how much I resembled him until my great grandmother told me about how much I act so much like him two years ago. Personality, demeanor, respect for any and everybody, work ethic and willingness to help anybody in need.
He would have been an amazing papa to fish and have a beer with on the porch.
My 20 month old Son falls asleep to your channel almost every night. Do you realize how great this is for me, his tired Mom? Thank-you so much! i love this stuff too. Sooo relaxing.

I remember when my grandparents listened and danced this type of music, i was a little kid then.
I remember my grandmother glamour , her pearl necklace , red lips and nails, her middle heel shoe, her knee lenght skirt and her curly white hair.
Also the elegance of my grandfather, his suit, his tie, the little moustache and the lavender fragance he used.
I am glad that i could know a little part of that time in them.
Sounds like a party at the Overlook Hotel.
Makes me reminisce of the nights when I was a little girl and I stayed at my grandparent's house in their spare bedroom. The door was a crack, because I was afraid of the dark, the moonlight shined in through the large bay window, and I can hear my grandparents watching an old movie in the kitchen.
I would do anything to relive those days again.

1952. Dad's been back from the war for a few years now. Mom and dad never skipped a beat. They still love staying up a bit late talking and playing their records. Mom said I could sleep on the front porch tonight!

This makes me feel like I'm hearing echoes of a life with the soulmate that I should have had...but while they're somewhere in the 40s/50s, I am in the 2020s and we're lost to each other, separated by a whole lifetime because an unlucky roll of the dice, and eventually the dream fades and I brush it off as imagination...but I can't help but secretly wonder...what if I'm right?

Summer time. You're out on the back porch of a homey little cottage in country sitting in a white wicker chair. That squeaky old screen door creeks when the wind blows. Grandma's playing music inside. Mom's clearing dishes and getting ready to play cards with your aunts. Dad and your uncles and a few cousins are telling jokes and having a few drinks. You just finished off a piece of grandma's peach cobbler and rest your fork. You can smell the grass and wild flowers. And you watch the fire flies bob here and there. The grass wags back and forth in the breeze. You can hear the crickets chirp. And as the warm breeze caresses your face you drift off plate still in hand.

Me and Steve Rogers took a walk down by the lake as the guests at our dinner party hadn't noticed we snuck out. We danced in the dark under the stars. He loves dancing.
This brings me back to my early childhood when summer nights were hot and humid. And I felt warm and safe in my moms house with everyone there. My sister would show me old tv shows like “I love Lucy” and Archie comics. She would let me borrow her portable DVD player and would let me choose puzzles to complete and hang on the wall... when things were simpler... when my Dad would take me to the school yard to show me how to pitch. My dog Fido was still alive and wanted me to pet his old head... mom would buy grapes and strawberries in the morning just because she knows they’re my favorite... Thank you so much for these happy memories. I’ve been crying, but they’re those big and hot tears, the ones that come from your heart. Thank you so much.!

When i listen to this it takes me very far away. To a place and time where anxiety and worries are diminished greatly. I feel like in the early days it was more about living in the moment dancing to these wonderful tunes. Nowadays we are far more in our heads instead of living the moment. I am 23 Years old now i had some partys got really drunk smoked some weed but you know.. these days its more a way to numb the pain for a short time. I want to live more in the mentality from long gone days just enjoying this short lived life as good as possible being nice and humble. Its hard because hate is everywhere, so many people are depressed and send out negative energy but i will give my best to stay positive.

it reminds me of when i was little, falling asleep in summer with my window open, while my mum and dad and a few others sat under our cherry tree talking with some old music playing. it would waft gently into my bedroom and send me to sleep. i wish i could go back to then. i miss my dad.

Sometimes I wish I could live in the good old days where kids been playing outside together and had parties and sneaked out as a teenager at night.

I played this to sleep and it made me cry during my sleep. I wasn't even born in that era but I dreamt that I was just observing people from afar. It was so cool to dream that. It was bittersweet. Most of us have to agree that the 30's 40's and 50's and 60's were the best eras to live even if we weren't born then.
This made me feel extremely happy uncomfortable. Like, I started having an overload of deja vu and memories I didn’t even think existed in my lifetime.

aw damn this reminds me of when my grandpa died... this type of music was pouring from his room, and since they live(d) in the countryside, there were a lot of crickets, and since it was spring it was rainy... super surreal to feel like I'm back there.

eerie yet comforting
I can feel the wind coming through the screen door and with it the sweet smell of autumn. The sounds of dishes clinking in the kitchen with gentle talking and laughter floating out into the living room. Coffee and the lingering scent of dinner have begun to mingle with fall's nectarine encroachment. Sitting back, dozing off...
I have difficulty sleeping. Not getting to sleep, but staying there.
So as I smoke a joint laying in my bed I watch the smoke curl over my head and I visualize the old radio in the corner, and in front of me is a crackling fire. I'm sitting in an armchair just listening to the music. No need to speak to my loved one sitting next to me silently. The music feels the space easier and more completely than a conversation ever could at least for now.
Listening to this,I imagine a old farm house,middle of summer at 12am,laying in bed by a window while Grandma's listening to music..its- Its a feeling and thing I never had but I remember,I can see it. Clearly Too.
