@@ChristianGrossCG well yes, but it should have been in the beginning of the video, and i should have said this explicitly why you need to do this, anyway I'm glad you like the shader 😉

bro i dont know why you're not yet big enough compare to other huge 3d ytubers, this is one of the surreal effect that i see on blender. kudos to you and hope you continue to provide quality content like this. cheers!
I learned how to do this back in 2017 and I didn't commit it to memory. Then the tutorial was removed when I tried to go back to it a couple years ago. x_x Thanks for this.
Wonderful tutorial, thank you! If anyone else is having issues with the outside of the impossible space still being visible, make sure Transparent is checked in Film in your Render Properties. Looking forward to more tutorials like this one :)
Hi! I can't render with transparent background whatever I try😢 film>transparent is turned on, png, RGBA is on too. In viewport it's transparent but after rendering it's just black background :(
that's a good question, I think you can do some programming magic like this, it's called non euclidean geometry. here's a vid: ruclips.net/video/kEB11PQ9Eo8/видео.html
hello I tried your video tips! very useful thanks! But I cant rendering without cube. there are black shadow and wall my projects can i ask some solution 🙏 ? The cube will also appear in the rendered image. sorry about my English is bad thank you ! your another video is also very cute and 😆
imagine you make 2 card and want to put one behind the other, it will clip through the "inside" of the front card doesn't it ? is there a way to make it work ?@@levimagony
1:07 I got a gray object behind the phone instead of a transparent object. Although I did everything as you did in the video. Blender 3.0.0 Alpha Such inconsistencies always discourage the study of programs. It is not the first time I repeat after the teacher, but the result is not the same as his(((
@@levimagony So would it not be possible to do this with the rear of the card in one project or is that a 2 project/collection only thing, I've been wanting to do this but a 360 for a while but cant figure out how to go about doing the rear as well
@@HiImKyle you can do it in one project if you cleverly keyframe the things, but it's usually done with mixing two scenes with a mask, a front and a back. I found a way to view the front and the back of the card in the viewport just like you want it to but it's viewport only and it's not perfect. So use masks instead that's way cleaner.
I forgot to mention to enable Film>Transparent in the Render properties so the background is fully transparent (grey object is gone).
No you didn't 🙈3:10
love the shader, thanks mate!

And how to bevel that corners so perfect.this card is Blender beveling or to some other program like photoshop or illustrator?
Blender beveling
Please can u tell me how to make that trading card
Not a single dislike. Really awesome job Levi keep it up
(as of now its got a 200-0 like to dislike ratio btw)

Is there a way to be able to see the back side of the card with this technique? Like can you do a 360° rotation animation of the card?
Yes, there's a really sketchy workaround because of eevee's really weird limitation.

Check you compositor the Use Alpha might be unchecked, check that!
i have blender 3.1 and the normals thing isn't working ;-;
what do i do
edit: nvm i obeyed the pinned comment and it worked
How do you export this effect and make it Unity compatible due to most Blender Nodes not being Unity export friendly?

amazing🤘🤘💯💯
how do you do this in 4.2?🤕🤕🤕 there's no "show backface" option
Bruhh..i got notification 1 day later...😂...but awesome tutorial just like others✌️
lol youtube :D thank you💙
amazing sir more shading tutorials
Thanks.
what does happen if you go behind the card?lol
edit : I'll have to make it and see.. THANKYOU SIR

I wanna have children from your blender skills. And then I'd sell them...
I can't 🤣💀
is there a way to put thing behind (so it goes through the impossible space) but keep it visible when you rotate around ? love your tuto btw
You mean when you look it from behind you can see the back of the card but not the objects inside the card?

at 2:33, connecting the voronoi texture to the mix shader does nothing for me D:
cool, but alas, I couldn’t repeat it on the new version of blender (
hahaha, it's all about orthogonality).😅

What if you view the backside of the card though
you don't see the card only transparent pixels because the holdout object hides it

What programs is he using?
He is using Blender
does anyone know how to achieve this effect in cycles ?
axyeннo!
ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO THIS kind of WORK?
Can this effect be used on an AR target image?
I don't know 🤷♀ try it out
@@levimagony 🖖😁👍
u didn't show it from behind
1:50, this holdout shader makes everything transparent what's behind it so if you go behind it there's nothing only transparent pixels
