Greece is for me a very beautiful country which combines wonderful landscapes, paradisiacal islands, a very enviable art of living, beaches, mountains, dance, the pleasures of the table, gastronomy, hospitality , the music! The only downside are the politicians who are all corrupt to the core! It's many incredible musical genre's, vast plethora of instruments, it's incredible language, and it's deep and beautiful poetry. Greek music reflects the deep and vast history and culture and it's only great that people love this. I'm glad that a country like Greece exists in Europe that holds a great and unique culture. Something most other countries in Europe cannot be said about. Even with regarding music where most European countries have become very monotonous in their musics where mostly a guitar or piano is used for almost everything, too much hiphop and rap as main streams and too many similar voice styles, aside from the fact that many countries sing in English. So I bring an ode to Greek music.
