I love the no nonsense approach that the owner has. Use it or why bother having it.

Absolutely loved this episode with two of my favourite Porsche personalities! Have loved the 944 since it first came out and have seen (And followed) Andy’s car so many times over the years that it’s like a familiar face now. Most often seen chock full of plastic containers and boxes full of Stuttgart South flags, shirts and hoodies so the car really is a practical thing!
One point to add as a once 928 owner and something Porsche fans will likely appreciate is that part of the reason the 944 can fit a relatively tall four pot engine under such a low and sleek nose is because it has it’s engine heavily canted over to one side, a by product of the engine starting life as one “Half” of the 928 V8 engine with one bank of cylinders removed.
So thank you for this latest video on behalf of all of us Porsche fans who are hurriedly heading to Autotrader and Pistonheads now to look up 944 prices.

Is there a 944 in your future Frank? 😜
The episodes just keep getting better and better Frank. Thank you!

I absolutely love how slowly the 944 and transaxle cars are being appreciated by the Porsche community. The 944 was the highest selling Porsche until the Boxter. Without the transaxle cars, Porsche may not be around today.
Also change those fuel lines! That style of fuel line routing is incredibly prone to rupturing due to age. Since they're right over the exhaust manifold, it's an instant disaster.

Superb addition to the channel, the 944 is definitely a missed gem by most, they are a cracking drive. Brilliant video guys, thoroughly enjoyed it, loving the passion Andy. #stuttgart_south 👍😎

944 is looking tuff. I really see the appeal of these. I was trying to watch this casually, but I think I need to set some time aside to absorb the nerdy details.

Stumbled across this, think it needed an introduction, was like walking into a conversation halfway through.

Nice video thanks. I had a lovely Baltic blue S2 with an Lsd back in the day , it drove amazingly well, certainly as good as my 911. Very underrated vehicles. Thanks again.

The seats are exactly the same as in my 1990 944 S2 cab 🙂

I really like this model there are some really great features the guys pointed out. I'm curious about the front bumper light and indicator set up. The Euro bumper override and frame are removed but I couldn't see if there is another frame around the headlight and indicator. I would like to change mine to look the same.

Can it actually fit a mountain bike in though?
Genuine question as I'll be in the market for one soon.
For reference, my own MTB has a wheelbase of 1300mm axle to axle!

      1986 - but 944 made between 1983-1991 I think.

It's lovely that you've done video on 944, it's a shame that it was a bit ratty one. If you'll have a chance to drive a proper S2/968 or Turbo S/89+ Turbo use it.
