    All the Wolverine Variants:
Short King Wolverine - Standing at 5'3", Wolverine (Earth-616) first appeared in The Incredible Hulk #180-181 (1974). Despite his short stature, he’s portrayed as a fierce Canadian mutant with an unyielding spirit. Wolverine officially joined the X-Men in Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975). While canonically 5'3", he’s often drawn closer to 5'5" in the comics, though his short, stocky build remains one of his defining traits.
Age of Apocalypse (Weapon X) - In this alternate timeline, Legion (Earth-616) goes back in time and accidentally causes the death of his own father, Charles Xavier, while he’s still in college. This event births a new timeline (Earth-295) where Apocalypse rises to power 10 years earlier, leading to Earth’s domination. Without Xavier, the X-Men never form, and Wolverine becomes Weapon X, sporting black leather, a metal right hand, and longer, wild hair as he navigates a dystopian world. This version of Logan is darker and even more savage due to the grim circumstances of this timeline. This timeline would re-place the mainline X-Men comics for a while until it was fixed, reverting back to the Earth-616 we know and love.
Patch - While operating in Madripoor, Wolverine (Earth-616) took on the alias "Patch" to blend into the criminal underworld. Sporting a white tuxedo and an eyepatch, Logan’s new persona first appeared in Wolverine #1 (1988). As Patch, he explored a more noir-style setting, using his wits and raw strength to navigate the dangers of Madripoor, all while concealing his identity. This could've been a whole solo Wolverine film on itself but it's cool we at least got a small cameo.
Old Man Logan - First appearing in Wolverine #66 (2008), Old Man Logan exists in an alternate dystopian timeline (Earth-807128) ruled by villains. Haunted by a tragic past in which he was tricked into killing the X-Men, this older, broken version of Wolverine lives in a world where the heroes have fallen, and villains have taken control. Old Man Logan’s arc is a deeply emotional and violent tale, highlighting his vulnerability in his later years. This is the same comic that inspired Logan (2017).
80s Wolverine - John Byrne’s iconic yellow-and-brown costume, which first appeared in The Uncanny X-Men #139 (1980), became a staple of Wolverine’s (Earth-616) look throughout the decade. It marked a shift from his earlier yellow-and-blue suit, which debuted during his initial appearance in The Incredible Hulk #181 (1974) and later in Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975) when he officially joined the X-Men. Logan would don the yellow-and-brown costume during memorable battles, including his fight against the Hulk in The Incredible Hulk #340 (1988), making it one of his most enduring and beloved outfits.
Yellow & Blue - The yellow and blue suit worn by Wolverine in this film is a modernized take on his iconic costume first introduced in Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975). This design was later reimagined by Jim Lee in the late '80s and early '90s, X-Men: The Animated Series and X-Men '97 used Jim Lee's designs as well. The suit was then updated for the 21st century in the comics with Astonishing X-Men (2004), blending classic elements with modern design. For many fans, the yellow and blue suit remains Wolverine's definitive look, thanks to the lasting impact of the animated series and how it's used across a bunch of media such as arcade games throughout the 1990s.

Earth 616 is the Disney Marvel Cinematic Universe - the flashback is set on March 14th 2018 before Avengers: Infinity War was released in April 2018
Earth 10005 is the Fox Marvel Universe (Fantastic Four, X-Men, etc.) - the rest of the movie is definitely set after Loki Season 2 which ended in November 2023 and since D&W was released in July 2024 - a wee bit over 6 year later than the flashback

Am I meant to watch the movie full screen and just listen to the reactor as an audio track?? I tried, but the reaction seemed out of sync with the movie, but it seems kind of pointless as I'm not seeing the reactor. Am I meant to have two screens??

Sadly, each of the movies relied on that one trick, just getting worse each time. That being said, I was elated to see Johnny Storm and Gambit, and especially Blade.
