Yong He acts exactly like the Shakespearean Lady Macbeth earlier on in this episode. He washes his hands as if he has OCD.
Later at the wedding venue he acts like Macbeth - half way in the river so he can't turn back bcs the journey going back would be as tedious as the journey going forward. He chooses to go forward.

Caiyun employed a cunning strategy - make Meng Teik beholden to her.
He decided on marrying Caiyun bcs he felt he owes her his life as she had put her life in danger several times for him.
Meng Teik actually is in love with Chiafen and cares more for her/Xingai. Caiyun was the one who broke up his marriage with Chiafen so why is she the one to be rewarded?
I don't like the Caiyun character bcs she's too clingy and bulldozes her way into Meng Teik's heart by making him beholden to her Lolz.
Anyway,Chiafen remained aloof from Meng Teik for far too long.
