watching Brett slowly try to encourage the student in Chinese, then hearing Eddy hit his student with the 好笨! 5 seconds into his lesson was comedy gold
Part of why Eddy was more successful at teaching Zach was because they were using a tune that Zach was familiar with and did not worry about reading the notation. Also, Eddy sang the solfege for the tune right away and kept doing it. Brett didn't start singing the etude until after halfway through the lesson or so and used a lot more words.
I think some people can pick it up easier than others. Aside from not having the straightest bowing, I didn’t have much trouble learning how to hold the bow and position my left hand, even when I was learning on my own in the beginning through tutorials, articles and books. Playing of course was/is different, lol.

Everything from "I'm a violinist man!", to "I'm killing this, shifu", to "it was there before", to "quiet, the teacher is teaching!" sooo many hiliarious moments that make me smile when I think of them!
as a Chinese I have to say
I have never seen anyone with a CUTER ACCENT than Brett & Eddy
we LOVE it uwu
I’m not Chinese but I had learnt Chinese before. Their voices are just so soft and cuteeeee. Especially Brett, he got me with that baby voice, I had a heart attack listen to it. So so cute 🥰
Same and I agree!!!!
YES
Pretty sure they speak the Taiwanese dialect since Brett is Taiwanese. Most Chinese as a Second Language learners learn the Beijing dialect, so there's a difference.
Taiwanese dialect tends to sound softer idk how to explain it
Plot twist: Zach can play violin AND speak Chinese.
Ling ling plays violin while speaking all languages:)
Hey we have similar names! cool
So has lingling been using duolingling to be able to achieve that?
@@stellajacobson231 he was born with it 😌
@@aureliuss.8927 niceee!!
Ling ling can play every instrument at the same time while speaking all languages at the same time
Zach was so bashful, but jeez, he sounds like he’s been practicing for weeks.
Can we take a moment to appreciate editor san for adding all the subtitles so we could understand? Editor deserves more appreciation.
@Migi My settings let me put a black background on my subtitles, which should help the white ones stand out from the yellow ones.
Brett: "Shou" get down a bit
Syakirah: So...la ti do
Editor-san: So...far so good
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It was a pun lol so fa so good
watching Brett slowly try to encourage the student in Chinese, then hearing Eddy hit his student with the 好笨! 5 seconds into his lesson was comedy gold
What does that mean btw?
@@therandomrat5238 好笨 means “so/very stupid”
CRACKED ME OUT SO BAD 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@geemot7914 😂😂😂🤣🤣
5:32 that beautiful bow hold 😍
Eddy: *WRONG* *SO DUMB*
Zach: **plays by ear for the first time** *Are you sure about that?*
eddy: 5mins left
brett: PANICK
brett: 5mins left
eddy: nods
Part of why Eddy was more successful at teaching Zach was because they were using a tune that Zach was familiar with and did not worry about reading the notation. Also, Eddy sang the solfege for the tune right away and kept doing it. Brett didn't start singing the etude until after halfway through the lesson or so and used a lot more words.
He also demonstrated the song first.
And while Eddy was demonstrating the peice first Zack did the fingering while Eddy was playing most likeyly to remember it and to get used to it
@@beautifulcountry55he plays cello i think
Brett: Make your fingers into a white little rabbit.
Syakirah: Oohhhhh, so like BATMAN.
I'm dying over here. Keep bringing that gal back, she is just a riot.
so sassy i love her 😆
Big singer energy
Honestly though, Zach’s hand position is just like almost flawless instantly.
Maybe Edwina coached him on their picnic date 🤣
I think some people can pick it up easier than others. Aside from not having the straightest bowing, I didn’t have much trouble learning how to hold the bow and position my left hand, even when I was learning on my own in the beginning through tutorials, articles and books. Playing of course was/is different, lol.
SAME THOUGHT
I think that’s what happens when you watch a lot of players

what they don’t know is that zach actually has a background in cello HAHA
Brett: your bow is crooked! 弓歪了啊!!
Kiki: I’m killing this Shifu!
She is “killing this Shifu” in the inside🤣
when the girl called brett shifu (teacher/master in chinese) i just bursted out laughing
Can we all appreciate how Syakirah made this episode extra, extra funny? Hahahahaha
She's the chaotic one hahahh
LOL Big nope
She was soo fun😂😂
They never run out of ideass!! Hillarious, every time!
the ideas just run out of them like a cascading waterfall and we are here for that :D
IM SORRY BUT WHY DOES BRETT LITERALLY LOOK LIKE VECTOR FROM DESPICABLE ME
OMG 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
HAHSHSJAKSHDH JAIL-
HAHSHSJAKSHDH JAIL-
Why do you have to torture me like this!?😂😂

I'm fking dead lmfao
i once taught a kid that didn't speak english... our lessons basically went like this lmaoooo (he actually ended up learning violin pretty fast though so kudos to him)
can we both agree that both zach and syakirah are winners? zach succeed to play the song faster while syakirah succeed to make us laugh so hard 😂😂😂
I'm dead. Brett speaking Chinese is so hot.
Fr tho. I love hearing people speak a second language
yes.
YES
超級同意
So freaking true
No shit, Zach's 新年快乐 sounds so well??? Is this the magic of singers tho, mastering the pronunciation of a tone language at very first try.
ruclips.net/video/4kS5O2SbbK0/видео.html❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ikr it sounded almost native
they're in singapore, zach has probably heard that phrase loads and considering how well he did playing just by adjusting the sound he was making, it's probably easy for him to mimick such a common phrase accurately,
*when you try to teach ur non asian friends how to say something in chinese and they abominate the tone
2:16 - She saying 'What about the stick' made my day
Zach: plays
Me if i didn't know that he just learned: he is 100% playing at least 6 months now
Zach is a prodigy confirmed
maybe he was a violinst in his previous life🤔
Well you know what they say: geniuses are born, not created 😉
Ikr. How is that even possible?
My dude got that musical instinct 🙌
I think he's got perfect pitch actually!
Zach and Syakirah scream chaotic energy and I’m HERE. FOR. IT.
YES
Mood tbh
YESSS LOVE THEM SM
Yeees I love them!! I'd so watch their RUclips channel if they had one
Thats pure vocalist energy.
ok but twoset weren't lying when they said they filmed the funniest vid ever bECAUSE THIS IS FUNNY ASF LMAOOOOO (assuming that this vid was what they were referring to)
5:17 that lovely bit of music
You know this is Singapore 🇸🇬 when the non-chinese know how to sing the chinese new year song better than Eddy
Yes
Singaporeeee yeet
Haha. Was thinking singapore or malaysia
No wonder Edwina chose Zach last time, she's already know Zach is a prodigy
"i don't care about your personality, you better play in tune!" - Edwina 2021
They be like: WuT yOu tAlKinG aBoUt
Brett: My nationality fail me
XD but tbh, his Chinese is actually very good
I feel like the way she "taught" Brett to sing (or rather how to damage his vocal chords) might have been retaliation for this lesson lol
For real 😂
