    • @CTomCooper
      @CTomCooper 8 месяцев назад

@@sabin97I’d say it lies on the military industrial complex at large, and all its members who comprise its circle of influence from hawkish politicians especially from the US, to intelligencia, to the corporate press, and to both sides of a proxy war. Isreal’s military conscripts men in, so the compulsory nature of that is not very different from the reactions of horror and disgust from Palestinians seeing their families bombed who are non-militants, which does push some to become radicalized overtime.
Also, if there are Israelis and Palestinians who both detest seeing their religious communities get dragged into a politically charged feud, then it’s important to see how these are political interests for maintaining militaristic welfare. The entire conflict is by and large propped up artificially for the very purpose of prolonging violence. War rallying is an easy reasons to support anyone’s reelection, and that’s the truth as anticlimactic as that sounds.

it's disgusting that you defend genocide.
but the truth is that the ones to blame are the average, everyday jews.
they are the ones occupying palestine.
their government merely provides the "muscle" when the victims try to defend themselves.
here's a simple thought experiment fo ryou.
imagine the entire government dies today, magically.
what do you t hink will happen as soon as the new government is installed?
      exactly.
      the genocide will continue.
because that's the collective will of the citizens.
when you allow a group to call themselves "the chosen race", they will behave as if the lives of others are worth less than theirs and will claim the land of others belongs to them.

Benjamin Netanyahu: 'America is a thing you can move very easily' :
“I know what America is," Netanyahu told a group of terror victims, apparently not knowing his words were being recorded. "America is a thing you can move very easily, move it in the right direction. They won't get in their way."
“Netanyahu also bragged how he undercut the peace process when he was prime minister during the Clinton administration. "They asked me before the election if I'd honor [the Oslo accords]," he said. "I said I would, but ... I'm going to interpret the accords in such a way that would allow me to put an end to this galloping forward to the '67 borders. How did we do it? Nobody said what defined military zones were. Defined military zones are security zones; as far as I'm concerned, the entire Jordan Valley is a defined military zone. Go argue."

Thanks, Krystal, for keeping the lights on.
Netanyahu had full knowledge of the Hamas attack a year ago, allowed the attack to occur, and waited six hours to respond. The Israelis responded by firing a steady
barrage of tank rounds and hellfire missiles at "anything that moved". Now, the Israelis are cutting up and burying dozens of cars that were destroyed that day--
to conceal the evidence that the vast majority of Israeli deaths were due to "friendly fire" from their friends in the Israeli Defense Force.
Bibi will survive and thrive--because, as the poll figures reveal--The vast majority of Israelis share the opinion of Israel's Minister of Defense, that Palestinians
are "human animals". The Israelis have invited us into their world, to get to know them--who they really are--via Tik-Tok videos in which they mock the courageous
Palestinians who are dying in this genocide. Israel is truly "exceptional"--This Zionist colony whose land theft has been legitimized by appealing to Flat-Earth mythology
is bigoted to a degree that is without precedent.

Most libertarian people I know aren't 100% for no government. The idea being that the government should protect our liberties and not have laws enforced by means of violence is pretty central. So, it's not about stripping the government out but using it to protect a free market that is t captured by regulations, allowing most never to participate. There's more to it. Amazing info. It's insane that Israel has been allowed to do this openly without consequence.

I have a lot of respect for Scot Horton but I think he's missing the point. When Netanyahu said he could 'control the flames' that wasn't hubris, he was 100% right. The attack on 10/7 was the totality of what Hamas was capable of. That is the definition of a controlled flame, it's a flame, it might burn your finger but you control how powerful it is. Yes, they ****** ~1400 Israelis, but they weren't able to sustain the attack for more than a day, they made no tangible difference in Israel's offensive or defensive capabilities, and at this point they've had to give back most of their hostages.
In response to a relatively minor setback, Netanyahu has been able to RAZE Gaza with global support. We know that Israel has intel up to a year ahead of time, was it hubris to ignore it or was it a calculated? Please don't fall for this act, this is all going according to plan.

Agreed. I don't see where Scott gets the idea that the UN 'New Middle East' map represented what Netanyahu believed the situation already was on Sept 22. I doubt Israel even accepted Gaza and West Bank were even occupied states. Clearly they were not Israeli milItarily occupied apart from West Bank Areas A and partly B. And there couldn't have been a rationale for bombings there ever since Israel's military had pulled out of Gaza.
Severe restrictions are one thing, a Gazan military, albeit partly an enabled one, with its level of governance there is another. More likely the map was one of those anxiety inducing dropped hints the powerful like to indulge in. Here a reminder of Likud's own Constitutional agenda - interesting timing.

I spent time with Scott after the "Wage Against The War Machine" rally in D.C. The man is so down to earth and so passionate about what he does. You would think after hosting interviews every day, giving speeches, writing articles and books, that he would be sick and tired of talking about world affairs on his downtime... not at all, he was just as enthusiastic when I was with him at a bar after the rally sharing his knowledge and also intently listening to me or anyone else who had an opinion or a question to ask. In fact it may be hard to believe, but he seemed even more passionate off camera about these topics, he would've kept conversing with us til the sunrise if he could. He truly is a national treasure, he walks the talk and believes deeply in what he is doing. God bless him.

What happened to the Village of Emmaus during 1967? What is left of the Village of Emmaus today? There was a church in the Village of Emmaus during 1967 and there is now a church in Gaza City that is over 800 years old. Is the destruction we are now witnessing in Gaza a part of the same strategy used on the Village of Emmaus during 1967?
