  • Fabric art using easy embroidery fabric collage and and slow stitching. This is the 3rd part in my little series called One Fabric 3 Ways, where we take one interesting fat quarter of fabric and find different ways to creatively turn it into 3 different pieces of textile art. In this tutorial we turn the little scraps of fabric into a picture of the countryside in a nice little landscape.
Tracey @artfiberstitch shows you how in this tutorial.

You are so welcome! We managed to get quite a lot of experiments in that piece. I always learn something by just trying to do it my own way. You go for it🙂

    Absolutely love this process!
I love to work with lots of different fibers. I also love the therapeutic aspect of hand stitching.
I defiantly will be giving this a try.
Thank you for teaching this art and your lovely soothing voice. ❤

I am enjoying watching you while I am making spools of yarn, ribbon and lace. I started watching you yesterday with seriously in mind to get started with doing some art fiber. I plan on things utilitarian. for in the kitchen like runners and placemats so I will make some adjustments so it is washable, but I may also frame some and put on the doors of my upper cupboards in the future. I am excited to give this a go. I'm subscribing and ringing the bell. Thank you for your inspiration.

It's beautiful. I was imagining along with you. I was thinking it may need a focal point. What do you thin? And, I thought about making the orange ribbon into a rock wall with stitiches. What fun! So, what do you do with it?

The base fabric looks like cotton muslin, but it also looks and sounds a tiny but stiff - is it starched ?

I normally just use calico, unbleached cotton.
