First I just want to say, Aloha and Hälsningar to my chorus brothers in Sweden!
Mahalo much for sharing this song with the world! For me personally, you guys really hit it home. Honestly, I have been listening to this song for about 4 days straight now and every time I hear it, I'm moved to tears. I tear up in the car while driving, at the gym, sitting in my office, and going to bed at night. In fact, as I was driving home tonight from work/church, I told myself that if that time comes when it will be my turn to go, I would love to have this song on repeat. Truly a remembrance of my dad when he whisper sung this song on his death bed almost 9 years ago on October 14th. This was another favorite hymn of his that I too fell in love with.
What you guys don't know is that at about 6:56 in this video, you'll notice a transition, at that moment I could not speak for a while because I needed to take a breath and release my tears. I could not show that...though I could have, I know some people would not have time to even watch it so I took it off. I know I said that I wouldn't go there, but I already did. Thank you guys! You guys sang it so beautifully!
To Rasmus Krigström and Doug Harrington, like I said in the video, I would give you a hug if I see you! Thank you....MAHALO for sharing your creativity and talent. The outcome....I cannot use words. My facial reactions....I hope you get it! God bless you guys for arranging a remarkable piece and then to have it sung by amazing men that executed it sooooooo well! BRAVO!

The first soloist was Emanuel Roll, and the director was Rasmus Krigstrom. They were both in the International Champions, Ringmasters. The bearded soloist is in the quartet, Lemon Squeezy. Zero8 is a wonderful choir , and I am glad you appreciate excellent barbershop singing as much as I do. Thank you for giving the quartets and choirs a platform so other people can hear and enjoy this special kind of singing.
YES, YOU FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW WONDERFUL, MARVELOUS AND BEAUTIFUL. Don't forget to sing along and sing all the parts, I do for 100's of miles and for more than 60 years. But the choirs of 25 to over 300 will take your breath away. WOW WOW WOW and WOW.
What a sound! Rasmus is the director in this video and Doug Harrington used to be the director (he’s the director in the Billy Joel package they did). Love this arrangement.
How did I miss this one last year???!!! At first I thought, "Oh...I like that harmony...different than I've heard before." It was...but there at first, I soon realized that they were doing the notes that would normally come from bagpipes, which are so many times used to lead a funeral procession with this song. Then they launched into the third section with "trumpets!" Then those close, close, close harmonies at the end, with that last chord pulling tears out of my eyes. That was TOTALLY tremendous! Oh, my word!!! Thanks, a little late, Sam, but BIG thanks!!!
As an avid Zero8 follower, I have heard and seen many different performances of this "Amazing Grace." This specific performance, in my opinion, is the most beautiful of all I have seen. Emanuel Roll is the soloist and emotes such power and grace...could listen to it every day, and probably have!!! Check out Ringmasters Quartet and Lemon Squeezy quartet, as well. You will NOT be disappointed! Glad to have found your videos, Bruddah Sam.

See, I tried to tell you and you finally listened to me. Remember =SPEBSQSA on lapel button, Purple with White letters. My Dad and Uncles were in Barbershop Quartets way back in the 1940-50's so I began listening and singing with them. Remember the Buffalo Bills from Buffalo, New York? Westminster & Zero8 sing many songs together but Amazing Grace is my favorite also- Sam.

Rasmus is a previous Quartet international champion (I believe). So is Doug Harrington. We (the VM) also sing this version of Amazing Grace (the arrangement was a gift to us from Xero8) and have recorded it as well. But Zero8 is one of the purest sounding choruses on the planet and I'm a huge fan. The guy singing the counter melody (tenor part) is Jonas, one of 4 Zero8 members who stayed over at my house in 2014.
I know you're hooked on the barbershop sound. There's nothing like it in the world. One of my favorites the VM sang in 2009 was Georgia on my Mind....pure barbershop power ballad, one that gives me chills still (singing and listening).
