  • In this video we try Gator Rock. We usually go when the waves are down, but decided to try anyways. Strong winds and good sized waves made for a challenging day. Going to Haleiwa was a nice change making it easy to fish. We had a good time with my good friend Alan. Hope you enjoy.

    So that one you caught in the gills, was it legal size? Gotta admit though, seeing you guys going down and finding the fish and the line was cool 😎. Was good fun watching this video. See you next time.

      Thomas McKinley unfortunately it was a half inch shy of being legal but we ended up using him as bait so he didn’t go to waste at all. When you come down I’ll take you there if the waves are down.

      This place--iliohu pl-is most recent NS development. This place only came up in late 1980s-early 90s. Used to be good place to harvest hau'uki'uki, wana, opihi & such coz was virtually isolated. Dunno about now coz of housing development

    Just came across your channel, this might be random question but I'll be vacationing in Haleiwa at the end of March and was wondering if you would be willing to rent out any of your gear? Just a shot in the dark so feel free to say no, mahalo.

      I apologize I can’t rent any gear but if you wanna go fishing with me that’s cool. You can use what I bring then.

    What size hooks do you use with that float rig setup

    • @TheHungryFisherman00
      @TheHungryFisherman00  4 года назад

      Honestly I don’t know I’ve had the same set of hooks for a long time lol I bought it in bulk like two years ago. Maybe size 14?

      Justin Tavares three to four trips. What I have left over I save and freeze. I think it gets better the older it is.
