Most japanese people seem to do that. Might have something to do with the fact that there are pauses throughtout sentences in japanese for listeners to interject or respond (un, hai, sou, etc.)

Because that doesn't really belong in the same category. "Abra Kadabra" is a magic incantation known at least since antiquity, whereas "Alakazam" is a very recent, English word.

@@CartoonHangout People outside of the US aren't going to get it, though, whereas "abra kadabra" is known across the globe. The chance that a Japanese person (or most other countries for that matter) has ever heard to word "alakazam" before is extremely slim.

It never acurred to me how much effort was put into changing Pokemon names to English. My whole world has changed lol.
You should see the European names
Lot's of the names are actually translated as well. Some kept their names, like Pikachu, but basically everything that is named after some one animal or plant or mineral and the like got that connection translated as well. Even the town names got translated.
I like some of the English ones better imo.
Like in Japan Charizard is "Lizardon".
Like, literally just a lizard.

I had a friend in Japanese class in college named Casey who told me that Abra’s name was Casey in Japanese.
Casey comes from Edgar Cayce, Yungerer comes from Uri Gellar and Foodin comes from Houdini.

A lot of the time English chat is pretty bad too, way too many memes and shitposts. It's actually starting to piss off the company that runs Hololive. I think my fellow usa viewers are probably the worst about it, too used to spamming in twitch chat

Ok, I'm Spanish, but raised in America only speaking English. Plus, I'm Puerto Rican, and while I don't know all Spanish I know there's a lot of different meanings for each and every Spanish language. Even if it's the same word. What's the sentence mean?

IMO & My experience The Spanish viewers are the most annoying so far especially the Brazilian Fans, All they say is Can U Say this word in Portuguese, After that Im From Brazil, spam & repeat. Its literally annoying asf like no one asked unless the Vtuber asked but nope. A Vtuber I watched had to add a Spanish description to tell the Spanish viewers to stop telling her to say Spanish/Portuguese Words bc most of them were sexual/inappropriate words. I feel bad for her SMH & By no means Im hating the Spanish/Brazilian community but Most of them need to be educated before even commenting SMH

@@mustang3429 I dunno. I've only ever heard Simsalabim in connection to Abra Kadabra. Alakazam has always been on its own and only from American stuff, so I wouldn't get the connection beyond "ah, magic word".

If I really had to a give a single guess as to why they spam so much, I would say they just want to be acknowledged. English comments used to the same with other popular v tubers until they started giving them some attention. Now it's not as bad (with some acceptions like rusia) again, thats just my hunch though
@@davycroket100 they all are attention seekers with nothing much to do. Like, if I speak for myself, I don't usually understand what they are saying, but that's not a reason to spam stupidly. Most of the time I'm just there watching how they play, do stuff or fail in games, but I do enjoy to send a message in the chat to cheer them up, even if I'm aware of being ignored by the say vtuber, at least I'm just pouring my grain of sand. But those spammers? They aren't even in the topic.
As a Spanish speaker I was mad about those spam messages Too. The Spanish community always advice new members to not do that and just write things according to the stream.
As said David, the spanish community is relatively ""new"" and entering in the popularity, they want recognition... yes it isnt a reason to spam, but is the reason. And as said Ariel too, the community is very aware of that, and gives advice to not get blocked or banned.
I speak Spanish and I don't even know what's the spam about, do they come from someone? The spam sometimes feels like a raid.
