The Neo Geo was from 1990, making it even more expensive.
1997 was when it was discontinued, 1990 was when it was released for rental and 1991 was when it was released for purchasing.
The neo geo was a system that played arcade games. It had much better visuals than anything else at that time. The PS5 pro gets beaten by PCs. That give better games, better fidelity, better input devices and better frame rate. AND games are MUCH cheaper.
@@1IGG Neo Geo's only advantage in graphics was that it could display nearly 400 sprites at once. It lacked things like background tile layers, sprite rotation, sprite upscaling, blending, etc, so while it could outdo the MegaDrive visually, the Super Nintendo very often had better visuals
There were more expensive consoles than the NEOGEO, but gigantic failures, like the 3DO

Especially if you actually buy games. I by like 20-40 games a year and with steam sales, they are super cheap. And free EGS games on top. E.g. I paid 41 EUR for Space Marine 2 gold. On PlayStation it costs 90 EUR.

Most of the people who complain already have a good PC or a PS5. The type of person who upgrades from PS4 to PS4 pro isn't the type of person who cares that much about spending money.
How many people complained about the Playstation Portal? That device it is still a success regardless. They were just not the target audience for this.
PS4 Pro sales are about 14% of PS4 sales. They don't even need the PS5 Pro to sell that much for it to be a success.
