Thanks for another great review. The magnetic charger is really cool (6:18). I have a dive computer that also a magnetic charger and it's a really convenient feature.
😂 yeah, KELDAN lights are my favorite, but choosing between OrcaTorch and the Backscatter 4300 I would probably go for the Backscatter one. Similar in size, similar in power similar in price, but the Backscatter 4300 is much more versatile with the integration of the snoot functionality.
@@MatthiasLebo Thank you. 😃 The Orca Torch has a snoot too, according to their webpage. But I really like the separate rechargeable batteries of the MW-4300.
Correct, the the 4300 has an integration that will narrow down the lights beam without having to add on any accessories. It’s not as powerful as using the extra snoot module, but it does work fairly well. And yes, replaceable batteries are a must!
Hi, very nice video. I would like to ask if it is possible to make a video about using the phone with an underwater housing for photo and video (ex Kraken and others). Thank you
Good question, I’m not entirely sure. But I think the magnet is so weak that it wouldn’t have any impact on a compass. At least I haven’t noticed anything on the dives I used the light.

I couldn't agree more. 😊
Great review, do you like this OrcaTorch better than the Backscatter MW-4300? I know you really like Kelvin lights but those are not in my budget. LOL

Thank you mate. We’re planning on releasing a review of the smart phone housing from wee fine in August. Stay tuned... 😉
Hi, quick question do you know for how long can the OrcaTorch stay on on full power (at 5000 lumen)?
About 50 min I would say.
Is the magnet on the charging cord or light? I’m just wondering if it would cause issues if you had to use your compass.

Did you set the WB manually to Osmo?
No, I used their underwater WB setting.
@@MatthiasLebo Hmm, Underwater WB setting is planned using without light, if you add light there it will always generate image with more red.
lol
