Growl needs to be re-release on Arcade Archives or something else on home consoles into a 4-player version instead of 2-player version as it was used in Taito Legends
The only flawed thing about this game is the length of the final boss fight. Other than that, for me, this a almost a perfect arcade brawler with its incredible score, fluid gameplay, tonnes of sprites, glorious sampled speech and the fact that it takes its hilarious premise and plays it totally deadpan. It's hilarious in the best way. 9/10.
Damn, that cave level looks like a pain in the ass to get through. But good job, it’s awesome seeing a playthrough like this with four players at once.
Growl is finally going to be rereleased from Arcade Archives for PS4 and Nintendo Switch on July 27th, 2023. I hope it's gonna be uncut without any alterations and censorship just like what the hell happened in Taito Legends 2
The trailer already shows that this has the violence from the original game. Hamster does not have a perfect record when it comes to censoring, because both Vendetta and Sunset Riders are not the original games, but I wouldn't imagine that there is anything that would be censored in this particular game.
@@arronmunroeyeah I know already. Chief Scalpel from Sunset Riders on Arcade Archives was altered to Chief Wigwam just like in the SNES version due to censorship. The Arcade Archives version of Pole Position had to use various Namco classic arcade titles on the billboards instead due to licensing issues on product placements just like it was originally shown on the arcade cabinets
TheKalimanMX This is game where the heroes get to shoot bazookas against the bad guys, an elephan OWNED A TANK, and the bad guys have Jason Vorhees clones within their ranks...and you complain about the final boss being an alien centipede?
@@GenesHand Kaillera might not be the greatest, but it gets the job done as long as everyone has a decent connection. It's worth noting that you can use save states online with MAME++ in case the game desynced. Also, there is one other option, which is Parsec. You can play pretty much anything online with it, but it requires a very good internet connection to be able to host with it, especially if you're trying 4p.
So basically they created a multi-player game featuring a handful of activists who goes ape-shit at poachers wherever they go. Cool What the fuk at the ending though.

It came out a year ago for the arcade archives series!
A wild beat-em-up that's been one of my personal favorites & not just for the fact you get to blow up people with bombs & bazookas.
0:43 Have you ever heard a more peaceful theme for rockets flying all over the place?????? ;*P

4:12 You know a man's super tough when he explodes when killed!!!!!!
"What do you jerks think your doing?" is their catch phrase apparently.
Awesome! I’ve been looking for a playthrough of this game in arcade!
no animals were hurt during this game
Yep. No animals were harmed during the making of this game
Oh my fucking god someone needs to tell them it's a tank not a clown car
The first theme of this game sounds exactly like a snes jrpg.
Nice game. One developers mistake is a platform sequence in the cave (i like sega genesis cave version).
That 1st character reminds me Indiana Jones.
He is supposed to be.
Whips, revolvers
I remember there is also a bad ending if you don't beat the final boss

SCHBROOM
Oh no he got me !
OMFG I USED TO LOVE THIS GAME!!!!
The Rangers are friends to all animals except bats.
Man....I was searching for this shit years.
4 definitely straight men protect animals from British dockworkers, women in business suits and... are those supposed to be Arabs?
And a giant parasite alien worm.
This game definitely started development as an Indiana Jones game
Este jefecito final es un regalo
cool game like
17:10 how does that make any sense!?

+Invidente7 Hah! It makes even less sense if you learn the source of the centipede. This thing is from Darius. As in the space shooter.
+Invidente7 but the genesis version is the final boss looks different.
so is this all gang member of half alien human or something?
@@ZoneyDuel no. The proachers are mind controlled.
Btw did you guys beated this game online? What software did you use?
I believe this was played online with the emulator MAME++ 0.119.
