I ordered a Chibson about a week ago. I used a well known source that is making the 59 tobacco burst aged and it is being made with wood blanks that I picked out from pics he sent me. I have all the replacement parts needed-bridge, stop bar and tuners-which are aged and bumblebee PIO pots, switch, plug and hand wound PAF pickups. Ill take it to my luthier to do the swap and setup. No way im spending the dough on a silly overpriced guitar. I have a Gibson custom shop R9 VOS. Im confident the Chibson will sound about as good and wont worry about playing out with it.
Yeah I was fortunate my father bought me a brand new Les Paul customas a gift in 1988 and it only costs $800 because I knew somebody that owned a music store and we got it at cost there's no way I would be able to replace that today with the current pricing and I want to get a black beauty so I'm definitely going to purchase one from China I'm not spending $4000
Thanks bro Joe. I actually insisted on really wide stripes and I didnt get it, so it is already gone same day Facebook Marketplace. The seller was sketch from the beginning. No difference in quality from a few years ago. I kept the black case so Ill try again soon Im still chasing your #2. I also have a bright green PRLESS 24-08 on the way so keep an eye out.

That's really nice I would like to get a black standard , I have yet to buy anything off of aliexpress But there are 2 guitars that I'm looking at currently
I used to have a really good knock off Les Paul yrs ago, not a chibson, it wasnt from China, a luthier from the US built it and my buddy ended up with it. I did a trade for it and it was so close to my Gibson it wasnt even funny. Even had the fret nibs and everything. AAAA flamed maple top and amazing figuring on the neck aswell. Ive own a Chibson before and they definitely need alot of work to get them to be playable and sound right, even though they now make abr-1 style bridges, its still very cheap Chinese pot metal. They tend to put the bridge posts in on an angle and the potentiometers and pickups are not good. Sometimes you see the odd pair sounding ok, but to compare it to an actual Gibson Les Paul is not even close. Ive owned Chibson and stripped it right down literally, replaced everything, new fret job, everything literally but it needs new frets altogether because they used some cheap metal. Tarnished within a mth or 2. Also was a pain to get the neck straight and still think there is a small twist from shipping overseas possibly. I just built a couple of trial and error guitars and now i can build one way better than the chibson for sure. Also alot of the kit guitars are worthwhile for ppl that want to learn to hotrod their guitars or stain or paint. Id rather just get a kit guitar but its just an opinion, i like your content and didnt even know they still shipped these guitars. Still a great hobby to hotrod them and do your own fret levels and polishing. But also could buy a decent Epiphone by the time you put all the money into parts unless you wind your own pickups
Too bad you got rid of the US made one. The only bummer is Epiphone (Gibson) made a huge mistake by changing the headstocks. Fender didnt on the Squier line, which was smart. Yeah Chibsons are what they are for sure. Gibson factory is extremely outdated and poorly run from the videos Ive watched. The chic in the Gibson paint booth doing sunburst fades should be fired.
