- The Unseen, an album that will be 20 years old in June this year, is a madlib record I listen to take me back, back to the day where I want to hear Lord Quas' voice thrown in with madlibs original tone to give me maybe one of the most pure storytelling experiences ever sonically made. There are some extremely important lessons to learn from this specific record.
Whenever I feel the presence of artwork by the greats such as Madlib, I realize that taste is everything in music and art in general.
I played this album 3 times yesterday... woke up and played it again ... this man might be the best producer ever... and definitely a top 100 lyricist
HONESTY
Felt that
one of the best hip hop albums of all time and quickly become one of my favorite albums in general
I've been listening to "The Unseen" since 2002 and still not tired of it.
I deeply appreciate this, I love The Unseen
Much appreciated, The Unseen is such a gem in the vault of Madlib isn't it
i got all madlib and j dilla and mf doom albums at least the real main ones on vinyl. the unseen trips me tf out the production every little beat has so many layers to them and the quasimoto voice is like a beat itself an extension to a trippy dirty gangsta opera. glad to see someone has finally made video essay type of thing for madlib and mf doom always wanted to see shit like this keep it up man love this shit. ps next video should be on freddie gibbs madlib pinata it's one of my favorites. peace
100% I think that dichotomy between Lord Quas and Madlib's original voice has a lot of symbolism behind it - definitely will need to be broken down in future. Have done a gibbs / madlib one briefly already ;) ruclips.net/video/8E5Ukhcnz6E/видео.html

Great video, this is definitely one of my top album's. Every track is musically and lyrically dense and amazing.
Oh absolutely, this is a classic for sure. Do feel free to check out more recent episodes, I feel like this episodes was quite barebones when it came to the level of detail I went into if that makes any sense.
Love the album, and you put it in perspective very well. Keep it up!
Much love
It’s cool hearing an English fella taking about one of my most personal and favorite albums. It’s like a Louis Theroux documentary
