deutsch: Vom Parkplatz Hinterbrand gehen wir etwa eine Viertel Stunde zur Mittelstation der neuen Jennerbahn. Die Fahrt zur Bergstation dauert nicht lange, der Ausblick hinunter ins Berchtesgadener und Schönauer Tal mit Königssee und Watzmann ist aber hier schon vielversprechend. Auf der Bergstation der neuen Jennerbahn angekommen, machen wir uns gleich auf den Weg zum Gipfel des Jenners, wobei es hierbei viel zu sehen gibt. Ob Berge wie Hohes Brett, Schneibstein oder Kahlersberg, der Blick schweift unwillkürlich über das tief gelegene Tal hinter zu den Funtenseetauern und zur Schönfeldspitze. Nach etwa einer Viertel Stunde haben wir den Ausblickspunkt erreicht und sehen hinunter zum Königssee. Ein unvergesslicher Eindruck, ist der Königssee doch eingebettet in das Rund hoher Berge und über allen thront König Watzmann. Wir machen uns dann noch zum Gipfel auf, der nur wenige Stufen bergauf liegt.
English: We start at the parking place Hinterbrand, from there we need roughly 1/4 hour to the middle station of the new Jennerbahn. Here we take the cable car uphill, the ride doesn’t take much time, but the view down in the Berchtesgadener and Schönauer valley and to Mount Watzmann is quite promising. After we’ve reached the station we start our little hike to the summit of Mount Jenner. On our way we enjoy the view to the mountain range with Hohes Brett, Schneibstein or Kahlersberg. Then our view strifes down the valley and along to the Funtenseetauern and to Mount Schönfeldspitze. After 1/4 houre we reached the platform where we can enjoy the view down to Lake Königssee which is embedded in the mountains, and over all Mount Watzmann is enthroned. Now we just take the last steps to the summit :)

Hi Anton ... glad you liked the little tour to Mount Jenner. We have so many wonderful places here in the surroundings. Would like to can show all my friends on YT and FB these treasures of nature ... and see them by myself of course, lol. For example it was just wonderful to stand on the plateau of Mount Schneibstein, the trail further would have led to Lake Seeleinsee, a magical place high in the mountains ... Just I have to be careful ... perhaps next year ... Oh, at the most west end of Lake Königssee is the Röthbach-waterfall, which drops 475 meters down into Lake Obersee, up there is the plateau ... wow, I will try for sure :)

Thank you, it's a magic place ... even when the silence of the mountain is gone it's good that people who never could hike such a mountain have the opportunity to can experience this. Standing there and looking down to Lake Königssee and see all the fantastic and mystical mountains is something one don't forget. The mountain straight on the other side is the famous Mount Watzmann, the king of the mountains here. I've hiked to the Watzmann-house around 2 month ago. Perhaps I will try to hike to the top next year but then I had to stay over night or start at 3am :o ... despite it's quite a mile and climb then.
