Last year I was cut from the jv team and that was my motivation to work harder, but this year I was able to make the team and have trouble finding motivation to keep working as hard as I did before. Any advice to help me?
So when I’m working out by myself should I be working on the qualities of the skill or just game like actions based on the skill I’m really confused as what to do for example off the dribble shooting?
Great question, so yes train the qualities of the skill. It doesn’t necessarily need to be in game like actions because it won’t be game like by yourself anyways. so work on your shooting and different qualities like footwork, speed, angles, balance, etc and challenge those qualities through variability and stretching the limits
So instead of searching up game actions I should just look at what goes into a skill and work on that and challenge it every time if I want to get better and game like actions after just to go through the motion?

Find a new and bigger goal! Make a college team or become a starter. With a bigger goal your work ethic becomes betyer
