A fisher boat revisited, this is a tool and not a toy! This is what I would like to be in not in a Caribbean sea but it's perfect for bad weather, real life.
A great weekender and fun boat. The small boat designers are very clever in using every inch of space to maximise usage. For fun times on the water you don’t need anything else.
Beautiful, well-designed boat. Definitely not a livabord but a wonderful weekender. I would love to see this thing in action. Curious to witness the sea keeping abilities.
If it can achieve 40 kts you'd think the hull shape would not make for stability in heavy seas? I'm as interested as you to see this boat tackle a serious swell. Having said that, lifeboats can achieve big speeds in all kinds of weather. There are some incredible videos on RUclips of a lifeboat being driven ALONG the crests of huge waves and the pilot just having fun at good speeds in very scary seas.
Looks like 33’ of fun and performance in a very practical package. This makes for a great starter yacht or just to keep as the Main attraction. Thank you Nick for the tour
Love this boat ! Best is the "hidden cabin" ! Me, I would have the galley up. Just a bit too small down. Plus if it's up you can be with everyone instead of isolation. One of my favorites ! Thank you!
Galley up, use the extra cabin as the main, main cabin becomes an office/nav space or tv room. Feel like you could easily live on this boat with 2 people.
WooHoo...Sunday afternoon, a new video from Nick, time to mix a martini and enjoy! When you opened that aft inspection cover, I was expecting a lazarette and was amazed to see it completely filled with water! An interesting boat! Love those forward raked windows, the master cabin was ok but needed larger windows? The guest birth was a revelation, just wondering how they exit the cabin if someone is using the seat that doubles as the door? Guess they have to knock! 40 knots...that is some serious speed! I really like this boat. Guessing you can pootle around quite happily with a long range and then open up the throttle to outrun an incoming storm. Very nice boat. Big cockpit which is always good.. thanks Nick...love your videos.
Now this style of boat does intrigue me, although a luxury yacht is appealing as it would be of course, being able to cruise around on something where everything is thought of is also as persuasive. Lovely boat thanks Nick!
Lovely tour, lovely boat. I would definitely go for the galley up, bigger bathroom facilities you mentioned as it is a 4- berth boat though. That second cabin was a real surprise!
I love that when there's a mirror we're all waiting for the wave. It's become such a silly little in joke, I love it. Beautiful boat btw. Something to go out for a week or two with.
Lots to see for a 33 foot boat. The kitchen is actually kinda cozy, although I prefer seperate shower stalls, for keeping the area to clean smaller and seperate, but the kitchen is perfect to tug yourself away for a good... cook. 😎 Thank you for touring a rather affordable boat again, Mr. Burnham!
I feel like you could easily live on this boat with a couple. I'd make the front cabin more of an office or nav area and the extra cabin the main. Beautiful boat for the price!
would love to see you tour the Fjord 53 XL and give your take... yes the windscreen goes the "wrong" direction, but the side awnings and large shades would be wonderful for my fair skin that loves to burn easy in the sun. lots of other great features on the boat as well. I think there's only 1 or 2 other tour(s) of it on YT. the 53 would be my day boat. Give me that, a Life Proof 50, and a Flexplorer by CdM and I'll be happy as a clam!
Hi Nick, it hits a lot of my buttons, galley down 👍 no hidden pop up TV in the sideboard and annoying ship mates can be locked away in the hidden dog kennel 🧐😎 cabin. A safe boat for UK waters ✔️👍 Cheers DougT
Smart boat and finishings. A sea keeper would be good for sleeping on. I always think that these would make amazing tenders for 90+ foot yachts that can integrate this cabin roof (as a usable second-floor space) when mated with the larger yacht. I also like Sealegs who mount 3 wheels to permit beach landings - or something that can handle a Terraquad, which is a better amphibious tender solution.
Of course you can spend millions on yachts, but these typical Scandinavian ships are all you need for a lot of fun on the water. With these kinds of ships you can go whenever you want, rain or shine. Many million-dollar yachts will really not succeed. :-) But of course it is a matter of taste and what you want to do with such a ship. After all, there is a market for everything. I would spend my money on this beautiful Nordstar, for example. Very nice video again, Nick!
Forward sloping wind shield make so much more sense, yet so many small and medium boats use the backward sloping. If we are not talking about speed boats where it may make sense, backward sloping is pure wasting of space and failing to provide a shade from the sun. Is any reason except the looks the boat designers decide to put backward sloping windshields on most yachts? And yes, I asked chatGPT about this, and the main idea of its answer was "One of the primary reasons is the modern and sleek look it provides" :)
I’m 27, and in love with these boats, Targa Nord Star and Sargo! And believe it or not, i think they look good and cool? Am i stupid or begin to be old because I choose a boat like this over a princess?
Hi nick, And thank you for this great show of this Nordstar 33+ I like this high speed all weather yachts and this one is very well spec with 2 enegines a generator and boiler good accommodation looks very nice galley below at the front and yes Nick i have always to smile when its comes for the second secret bedroom on a yacht like this and a show from you in the past😉 Thanks again Nick a great show ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great to see its from Falmouth . . My mum was from there . . Love yr videos . . Hi from new zealand . . . (Sits in corner and waits patiently for another Nordhavn video) . . ❤❤💐
Thanks for the video. As someone else notes, Nordstar, Targa, Sargo and maybe one other seem so similar it would be difficult to choose between them. But all seem like capable, comfortable boats.
You need to create an Aquaholic dictionary, for words like GETATABLE etc and phrases like "I'll edit that out later" and the magic words that make your shoes appear, I'll buy one!! Love you guys , keep up the fun work, it makes my sunday.
with forward raked windscreens being objectively better for boats with interior helms (cabin cruisers, large yachts, etc), it baffles me that manufacturers still produce cabin boats with typical windscreens. preferred looks over function I guess? idk. there are boats I'd love to have that don't have forward raked windscreens, but I still count the lack of a forward raked windscreen as a fault. anyway, I love this boat. great tour as always.
Lovely delivery of The Nick Burnham Wave™, there! There's not much that needs to be said after a video like that - I absolutely love the Scandi/Nordic boat brands, and Nord Star especially steal it with their hidden cabins. I'm personally angling for a 49SCY myself, with that fantastic third cabin. Is there any chance you could get us a tour of a 49, Nick, either the SCY or the newer 49+ version?
Nice boat although I think if I had the galley up I would ask to put a single cabin in that space instead of the separate shower it’d be a bit cramped but usable
Fascinating layout . The supplementary cabin is far nicer than the main forward cabin and actually lots more possibilities on layout when you see the space available below . Thanks for the tour Nick !
Lovely boat, very practicals safe and comfortable. But not it's not a delicate boat it is designed to deal with Scandinavian all year weather. Like the position of the galley and the bathroom prefers it because of the guest cabin. Nice boat. Would you consider doing a video on the Targa, Nordstar and Sargo? Could ne interesting or are they to similar?
@@AQUAHOLIC yes I seen all of them. I was just interested in your thoughts on any differences between the three boats. Everyone has a boat that suits them. Anyway thanks.

Really nice for a small boat , that turn of speed would make it a serious cruiser , depending on fuel curves.

I am a big fan of these type of boats. We need them for the Great Lakes! Found your videos thanks to Cruising the Cut. Narrowboat videos. 😊
