Its like the way we say "bye" about five times when finishing a phone call.

We say sorry all the time in England but if he lives in London he is probably used to less warm people.

The English are very well-known for apologising all the time! I actually didn't know the Irish did the same :D

Jenny Brock Not on about humour or getting on, we are talking about apologies

Feidhelm Ó Foghladha To be honest, I'm not very knowledgeable about various disagreements that have happened between countries, so this is probably a pointless place to voice any annoyances you have! And technically I'm not English either, so... :D

ImagesByDavid I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not :/ I wouldn't want anybody to be artificially charming, anyway! I just don't see the point of perpetuating hatred for something that happened a long time ago, especially on a light-hearted video.

lol. yeah when you say 'sorry' in those situations it's more a way of placating the other person or in turn he's letting you know "nothing personal but i'm sick for heroin" XD
i'd much prefer that than a gun in my mouth if i was robbed lol

the english DO apologise you know!!
bu;t i would never associate we irish with apologising all the time.
however, there is a geographical difference between england and the u.k.
    can anyone spot it?
have you ever heard of an atlas?
