My ex-wife and I opened our relationship, she hooked up with another woman, she asked for a divorce and said she realized she was more gay than she thought. I decided it was not worth fighting that battle, she was clearly already far down that road. Even when she started questioning her decisions a bit, I said hell no. We work this out, go for a few more years and you end up building up resentment for staying with me and not pursing a relationship with another woman that you would be happier in.

Some people CAN move past cheating (my best friend is like that) but I’m not one of them. Most people feel it’s a sacred trust thing in any serious relationship. As a monogamous person if either person isn’t enough for the other you need to vocalize that. Being cheated on is a very hurtful lesson and cheating on someone means you don’t have the emotional intelligence to consider the amount of love and trust your partner may have invested in you before causing the harm. At best, the cheated on drops you out of their life, takes the L with time wasted and chalks it up to you not being the one.

Yeah, statistically cheatings happens all of the time and the concept of "if you cheat once, it's over" is usually a mindset held by someone who either A:) Doesn't know they've been cheated on. Or B:) Is trying to save face and not admit they've been cheated on.
If the relationship is relatively new, like within a year or 2, I wouldn't be able to forgive cheating. But if it's been 10+ years and kids are involved, Idk how I would react.

@@willvr4 You’re missing options C:), D:) & so on. People can also set boundaries of what’s acceptable. I’m not certain if you’re making the argument that all or most people with the view of “If you cheat once, it’s over” as you say, are being cheated on or not. I don’t want to make that assumption if I’ve miss read anything. While cheating does happen, I’m saying having more emotional intelligence in communication can solve this. Also, people can and will find reasons to excuse themselves of past, current and future cheating. Most people won’t even rationalize or consider they may be “a bad person”

Most likely, either until she found a place of her own or until the divorce was close to being finalized, and he simply asked her to leave sooner than they had originally agreed to. He does need to move on, but Stav made a ton of shitty assumptions about him while he's obviously hurting bad and didn't really address what was going on on her side at all. She wanted a foursome, wanted to keep living with him after asking for a divorce, and wasn't interested in the kids. She's got problems, even though his theory behind them is probably all wrong. Should've been there for him and pointed her problems out. It'd be easier to help him move on from someone he shouldn't want to be with than to just roast him and make him feel worse for laughs. Repent. Follow the Gospel.. Join the Church - You get sealed in the temple and read the book of Mormon. It'll all work out.. anyone who does not want to do this should get involved with the Baha'i faith which is more general, but I think the church is a good place to sort things out, especially that one. The treasure Jesus Christ, the Latter Day Saints

@UnisusMC oh - the context was "wife at orgy wants divorce...'. Baha'i faith eventually becomes a global World Order... It's volunteer though... I have a strong opinion about 'family destroying activities'.. You could become a Baha'i just by saying 'Allah'u'abha' ... Or ' God is most glorious'. And believing in the oneness of mankind..
