Agree with what you’ve said, I was recently checking my tyres which are about five years old, found one that had a big bolge on inner side of the tyre, so it also a good idea to check all sides of your tyres before heading off.

By law any vehicle that is over 7.5mtrs combined of vehicle and trailer etc the trailer must have a do not overtake turning vehicle sign on the left hand side of the van and also must be a certain type now as well it changed to MUST be reflective sticker or metal sign on the pack and has to be set a certain height from the left and side and so far in from the left

As if you are in a accident and it happens while your turning insurance can and wont hesitate to void the insurance or put you at fault regardless if someone hit you or not

Hey Ben, you're correct that in Australia, vehicles or combinations 7.5 meters or longer that need to straddle lanes or turn from an adjacent lane at intersections are required to display a "Do Not Overtake Turning Vehicle" (DNOTV) sign. And yep, sign must be reflective and positioned according to specific height and lateral placement guidelines. In the event of an accident during a turn, lacking the appropriate signage can defs affect insurance claims and liability, as insurers may consider the absence of required safety signs when determining fault.
