Yup, I would have never thought Floss would be wrecking the 1's and 2's, but we ol school cats be on the same page. Cant let the new jacks one up us on technology
I use to be a mobile DJ for many years, we use to rent out buildings and throw party that last till like 6 am, we had food for sale, we charged a few dollars to get in, 1 of my boys was from NYC so he has the Gear hook up and would sell it at the parties, it was a lot of fun. I started off with Techs 1200, carrying 4-5 crates of LPs, then I moved to CDJs which then I only had to carry 2 books of CDs from there I DJed a wedding about 3 years ago just using the Djay app for iPad which is really dope. It's was fun being a DJ for so long and I made a lot of good money and had a lot of crazy times. Need any tips on blending etc Floss holla at me, dope setup tho man, you gonna have a lot of fun cause you love music.
Hey Flossy I am a professional Dj. One of thing I recommend for you is to purchase a spiltter cable. This will allow you to play it on the speaker and get you ready to cue the other song on your headphone Plz reply if this helps! Thanks
+Kingman that's what I was trying to figure out. So where do I connect it? Can you send a link for one? FYI this definitely helps bro, I was trying to do that last night
Hey flossy, Thanks for the response... Glad to help you, On 4:58, you were playing with the knob, you wanna turn that on and plug in your headphone into the mixer on 4:50... I've just notice that you don't need to purchase a splitter cable... On your laptop, open the dj software you are using and go to setting, check if the Output is on Speakers and Headphone. Once again Reply if you have any troubles, Thanks
Been binge watching your videos for the past few weeks, and I love the channel! I came across this, and being a DJ myself, I just had to watch. I love the way you approached it. Definite subscriber right here.
just nice to hear somebody who's human & down to earth, I was looking to upgrade my controller & your the best at explaining it to this dummy, have a blessed day
DJ Floss in da house!!! Nice gear, allthough I'm an oldskool vinyl dj, one tip is, to beatmatch every new track upfront in your headphones with pitchcontrol and restarting from beat 1 or your cuepoint, before swappin your faders, and a little volume/gain match is also of much essence. After you line up beat blocks in 16 beats or 32 beats, you can almost mix anything. Anyone who can count to 16 can be a dj! After that, you can play with effects, loops and sampleshizzle. TIP: start with some uptempo euro house, those simple patterns are easy to learn. Hope I made some sense and didnt get to technical! Go Flossy!! Music making is so much fun!
Flossy Carter No, with a pattern I mean a block of 16 beats or a multiple of them.. Know when the beat starts, know when the break kicks in.. Keep counting them beats in your head and release your 2nd song on the beat or the break of your first, so every 16 beats line up. If you know your music, you know upfront when the kick or the break starts. after your tracks keep running in sync(pitch to up or down the tempo) you can crossover your next song seamlessly.
+Jeffrey Roodenburg oh shit you just got me hype! This is why I love my viewers, y'all keep it 100. Feel free to drop some more tips lol That's what I'm trying to learn, how to fade I'm smoothly
Flossy Carter You can pre listen in your headphones to see if volume levels match and adjust with the gain knob. always slide your faders full open/close when switching or smoothly slide your next song in.. Or keep em both open and use the crossfader on the bottom to cross slide between both.
golemcone although $700 is still alot, my daddy had to pay roughly around $2,500 but his came with a booth stand, laptop holder, and other extras. That doesn't even cover the speakers, disco lights and other stuff you might have to get.
Advice from my part; if u go for one just for funs and want something entry level, get the Pioneer SB series. This controller seems a bit expensive for what u get. The little jogwheels seem alright in the beginning but your gonna want bigger ones when your mixing on a regular bases. The dual LED displays are a nice touch though.
yo I rarely comment on any video but this was the most informative video. no BS you answered all my questions in 10 mins. simple to the point thanks. I'm ordering mine today!
Oh yeah, I was messing around and became a somewhat full-time DJ! People calling me every week! I'm having a blast! 😂 😂 😂 😂 they don't even know I'm still a hobbyist!
NICE!! I'm a DJ with a Pioneer DDJ-SX2 and I love it so much! watch youtube videos on tips on mixing that's how I got going! Good luck +flossy carter! one more thing that's a filter nob not a pitch nob it's high and low pass so turn it down only the low end frequency's turn it up only the high end. it must not be full kill like my board but it is still super fun to play around with!
Flossy Carter bru I get what ur sayin you know I ain't a club dj either just mainly a producer but get to know everything if you wanna be absolute boss during the #sundaynightsavagery
what up mr. floss you got a good investment there I have been DJ ing professionally for over 30 years now and I actually picked up the env2 as my second digital controller after several years of being cheap with cheap DJ digital controllers... unless you plan on becoming a professional this will be the only digital DJ controller that you will ever need I only upgraded from the env2 to the Newmark ns7 3rd generation because I have a need for the ability to add 2 cdjs or turntables to the controller but that's only because I am a wedding DJ your controller and my controller function damn near identical Deadpool I truly believe if you're going to be a bedroom DJ this will be the only piece of equipment you will need I love it
Nice. I use the NS7 for djing. The platters spin so for me, it takes me back to my Vinyl days. Get you some decent powered speakers. Great for mobile djs.all you need is power.
get a flight case to save it from any potential damage during the time you have it. my current travel controller is damage because of it getting beat up during transport
Awesome video Flossy Carter reminds me of the old Disco days going to all the clubs in Rhode island watching the DJs with their turntables and cassette decks and there was wires all over the place you brought back a lot of Awesome memories Flossy Carter Salute where is Xerxes 😀👌👍👍
I'm right wit you brotha! I just copped the Pioneer DJ SB2. Trying to learn myself. That might be a whole new series you could do. I'd be definitely interested in that. Holla.
Flossy Carter lol geezez you made me laugh when you started maken that noise psh-psh-psh-psh. I laughed so hard I nearly cried it reminded me of the bar scene in coming to America lol 😂
Hi i got question to ask ... on this Numark nv2 mixer need always the serato software from laptop to play music or can play whit out software ... tanks
dope man. I play on every platform, when downloading mp3's, look for those 320's for quality, or straight wav files. Wav files will take up more space on your hard drive though.
I LOVE THIS DUDE!!! HAD ME ALREADY WANTING THE 8+ TO UPGRADING FROM 8+ to Note 8....I NEED A REVIEW OF DDJ-RX OR DENON 7000 OR 8000...I TRUST UR REVIEWS, ON POINT
Looks a nice unit. I recommended a Jamaican friend of mine one of these Numarks... He loves it, we have a laugh on friday meetup mixing up some tunes and smoking some Mauwi :D
Oh my fucking god. My favorite cell phone case unboxing channel is unboxing a DJ controller. This is beautiful. Funny timing, just got my controller a month ago.
I'm looking at the Pioneer DDJ-SX2 to upgrade from my numark Mixtrack pro. I won't be getting another Numark only because my current Numark is very cheaply made and falling apart, even with a lot of care including a road case and padding.
DDj-SX2 is fire. However I am thinking of selling it and getting the DDJ-SR. It does everything the SX/SX2 does but uses power through the USB only. After setting up the SB2 for my son, I like not having to search for a power cord to plug in. I have owned a bunch of Numark controllers in a 2 year period. The best Numark controller I ever used and own was the NS6. I sold it and I have been using the SX2 for a minute. Controllers have good resell value so I switch controllers like I switch phones.
Dennison DeNatalie pioneer all the way. I rock with the pioneer ddj-sx (the original not the 2) and I love it. It's dope as hell. Pioneer all the way numark is trash forreal. Before I got my sx I had a numark ns6 and before that I had a numark mixdeck. Both the numarks shit the bed after less than a year. I been rocking with the pioneer now for almost 3 years and it still works like new. I been DJing over 10 years now and I will always be loyal to pioneer. Never again will I purchase a numark product.
That's it Floss gonna take over Hot97 with dope beats and phone reviews. We gonna be buying "Floss" mix CD's I would suggest you use beat matching. Also I have used Serato Intro, Sreato DJ, Traktor DJ, but my favorite is Virtual DJ. Tempo will slow the music down. Pitch will change the actual pitch, which is more natural like how DJs back in the day would change the pitch like on the Red Alert or Marley Marl used to do. I used to make folders of songs with similar rhythm style and beats. However that got tedious so I just search for the song I run next. Understand how to use the cue buttons and test your cue with your headphones and speakers. Every controller has a different setup so you don't want people to here you beat matching on Deck 2 while you playing your song on Deck 1. I had to get used to mixing on these things coz they are not made for the ol school heads so I stay in manual no beat matching for me. I dont know the latency of the NVII but I keep my scratching to a minimal until I get on the NS7. Other than that I can mix for hours on a Saturday night.
yo floss i got the Numark pro 3 and its dope i love djing now seeing this one I'm going to get this one for sure, but just like you i was testing it out and now I'm feeling it so i look forward to getting this one!!
Old school! You gonna like this one because it's so much easier to DJ, plus you have more time to concentrate on more important things like checking out the ladies at the party😂
D.J. Flawless Execution from Toronto Wut up FC! . Looking for your update on this equips here u said u was postin in 2 weeks and would know what all them buttons do. Did u do one or got a link? Cheers
its the perfect mixer, has all the buttons in the right places, plus the full version of serato-software, but i am still not so sure if i really wanna dump 700 on this hobby. I know its perfect, but i already got buyers remorse just from looking at it. damn those choices.. LOL
As an OG 2 Turntable DJ, I have to say...you've stumbled across a very addictive hobby. With Digital DJing you will get hooked very quickly. I'm still favoring Pioneer Controllers. I'll be looking for more #DJFlossyCarter reviews. 🎧🎤😎 #TeamFloss
Don't know why I'm watching this...I have nothing to do with DJ'ing, but Floss makes everything sound like something that might be cool to have, lol
That's why I love this channel there's no limit to what type of tech floss shows, hope the next stream is this Sunday I kinda miss it
Yup, I would have never thought Floss would be wrecking the 1's and 2's, but we ol school cats be on the same page. Cant let the new jacks one up us on technology

I think you may have went overkill with the 4 channel controller to start. But I hope you like it, my friend has the same one as you and loves it.
Been binge watching your videos for the past few weeks, and I love the channel! I came across this, and being a DJ myself, I just had to watch. I love the way you approached it. Definite subscriber right here.
Thanks brother

I’m thinking bout picking one of these up. Seller wants $450 CAD. You think it’s totally worth it? Anyone heard of the Vestax vci 400? Any good?
Really interesting that it has displays built in for $700. I have the Denon MC 7000, and that was $999. Great action. No displays.
my home boy has the big version full setup with coffin box carry case .that thing is sick
Floss what party speaker do you have it hooked up to.
Oh my fucking god. My favorite cell phone case unboxing channel is unboxing a DJ controller. This is beautiful. Funny timing, just got my controller a month ago.
Awww man THAT'S WHAT'S UP!!! I just recently ordered the Numark Party Mix, and I too am looking to hone in my inner DJ. Thx 4 the video
+Chris Hodges you'll love it bro, its too much fun
Controllers have good resell value so I switch controllers like I switch phones.

sKoggs TheDJ Hey! Thanks for the feedback! Do you plan on getting the SX2, or sticking with the SX? Whats the difference?
Bring this to our online Sunday party for sure
That's it Floss gonna take over Hot97 with dope beats and phone reviews. We gonna be buying "Floss" mix CD's
I would suggest you use beat matching.
Other than that I can mix for hours on a Saturday night.

its the perfect mixer, has all the buttons in the right places, plus the full version of serato-software, but i am still not so sure if i really wanna dump 700 on this hobby.
