So after years of exclusively BC riding weekly, all of a sudden Dale is in Pyrenees and there's zero acknowledgement that anything is out of the ordinary. I love it.
@5:12 " section. over there, I cleared a bit the path and went straight down. Also on the top sketchy part between rocks, you can roll it on the right side... it´s Awesome!
I’ve been following you for a while, so glad you came to my loved pyrenees. Gallinero is one of the Top trails from the Pyrenees, but we have too many many good trails here, that you wouldn’t have time to ride them all. From the Catalan Pyrenees, Edgar, cheers!!
"Spain loves its flat corners" - europe does. In Europe we don't "build" most of these trails. We discover them. Some are old hikingpaths, some were scratched into the hills for transport or military proposes back in the days. That's why you won't find many berms, drops or jumps on trails like this. As soon as we build something into them conflicts with hikers, hunters and other are soon to come. So in europe there are more "natural" trails then build ones.
Dude, thanks for sharing...this is SOOOOO unbelievably epic to watch. @4:30 getting into the tree line, with that redish dirt, so frick'n beautiful......I had a chance to get out to some "bigger" local mountains recently and I think it struck a chord with me. Big mountain riding (preferably shuttle/lift accessed) with super epic long descents with some pedaling mixed in,....it's all I want to do now lol.
Canada has been conquered...overseas I go! Looks like you were riding the Spanish 'Sound of Music' hills! Awesome to see you enjoying a completely different riding element. Thanks for another great share as always.
Nice seeing you in Europe ! You'll notice that our trails are mainly multi-purpose trails labeled "mtb-able" , not dedicated bike trails with man-made features like in BC. Keep up the good work :D
massive file 15gb!! very nice! so quiet as opposed to your usual trail traffic. looks like Hawaii trails that red dirt which is like ice when wet and dry can't win
You got to ride the Spanish pyrenees and hydrocut in ONE day 🤯 those trails look like fun, I was gonna go to Madrid for a week in the beginning of 2020 and hopefully ride a few trails but Covid canceled that trip unfortunately. Good video dale
Greetings from Valencia, Spain! Nice one, Dale! Great to see you riding around here! Question... How did you get to the highest point?? That's a missing (and interesting) part of the adventure 😉Thanks!
Busy day for me at work. But when I see a RUclips notification indicating your first upload from your recent trip to Spain, well, I’d say it’s time for a mandatory “fire drill”!!! 😂 beautiful trail and countryside. So varied top to bottom. Do you get nervous riding solo on a new trail in a new country with no data? Looking forward to other rides from the trip!
@@lynnstone8958 you know Mom, I had no sooner pressed submit on that comment before I semi-regretted it knowing it might be a bit of a trigger question! In your son’s defence, he always appears to ride well within his capabilities - especially so on this ride. I’m nowhere near his orbit of riding skill, and I could learn from his measured approach (I’m injured as I type this)!
New to the channel digging the content 🤙🏾 your bike control is amazing I like how you can balance on the front tire and swing the backend where ever you want pretty sick 💪🏾💯
As always, an incredible video. Thank you! You're always inspiring me to get out and ride. Quick question, did you happen to shoot or export some of the footage in a differing framerate? I have had 59.96fps video exported in 60fps and then it causes some of the frame skips that you can see throughout this video.
Export framerate was the same as the source media, don't recall what GoPro shoots off the top of my head. Any skips would be from RUclips struggling to buffer 4k60 (hopefully!).
American in Catalunya for a while here, what lead you to these trails? Searching Trailforks? I think I will have to go over there and check these out. Also, please go ride in Tremp, it's a delight, the whole area is a paradise really. If you have not, check out ruclips.net/user/AlexMedinaMTB for inspiration on a lot of good riding in the area!
@@DaleStone oh Im from germany Number 1 recomandation: bikepark geißkopf (winterberg is suposed to be Good as well but i havent been there as its far away)

I love your vids Dale. So visually stunning. Thank for taking us on all your awesome adventures🤙🏻
That looks like a truly epic trail. It's pretty cool you can fly halfway across the world and go find trails like that on your own
Truly a wild thought!
Uhoooo, another travel video from Europe. Now i cant wait for the rest to come. Have a nice vacation and many unforgettable moments full of joy 😊🌞🚵

Dale overseas what a rare sight, spain is great
Definilly a epic Trail Dale!
Nice to see you on some different terrain
You should go to the catalan side, the dh wc was celebrated in some of those trails
These videos are one of the few things keeping me sane while I’m waiting for my new bike to get here 😂
what bike?
Propain hugene
@@iaincaudle9829 Interesting rear shock I'm sure it'll be a interesting dynamic.

Europe is easy because you are never more than a stone's throw from some dude's cows. 😂
You should come to Geneva. I would be happy to show you some trails 😉
Looks like a fun adventure
Fresh upload!
Dale's going worldwide.

I definitely ease up on the pace on these kind of remote rides "into the unknown" for safety!
18:53 holy shit
Also, have you considered adding telemetry to your videos? It would be nice to see the speed, distance, etc. sometimes
There is no easy way to make that look nice unfortunately, and GPS is only so accurate with that stuff anyways.
Point a camera at a bike speedo. Be the first on YT. Safabrian does excellent overlays with a descent image so you can see the climbs and drops
Nice riding as always Dale. Thanks for sharing such beautiful trails.
Did you travel with your own bike, or did you put some stickers on a hire bike?
Own bike for sure!
Nice one

ya that is a sick move been practicing on my road bike I feel so cool when I do it im amazed these MTB can do it on flat pedals!!!!
Looks so fun. How was the climb?
Hot, beautiful, hot.
Sick Video!! Any plans on coming ride in Portugal?
Not this year, but maybe another!
That would be nice! Sintra, Peneda -Gerês Natural Park, Lousã… are waiting for you!! 👌
What an amazing view and trails. You're so lucky with mountains and nice bike parks etc. Here everything is so flat and boring lool
You should go to bikepark winterberg
Europe has a lot of beautiful places to ride
You are not going to get PR’s stopping to take pictures of the gorgeous countryside!😂
wtf!! Come to Galicia! hahaha. I hope you have fun in our trails!
I often wonder i you, Dave and Nik have talked about doing either The Mountain of Hell race or the Megavalanche race?
We are all casual beer league racers, that's too serious. 😂
@@DaleStone If you are beer league racers, what should i call my style of riding then? Sunday-evening-lazy-fat-rider-league?

So… you suddenly show up in Spain with your bike… my brain🚨WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO DALE, KIDNAPPED??🚨
What is the total descent? How do you find the trail? I’m going “How did he know to go that way?”!!! Nice work!
Description has it all!
I thought you would let the video age a bit in your computer. The idea of travelling with my bike sticks to my mind so badly now.

Did you run some beefier tyre casings?
I did, double double downs for the trip!

Check Alexis Righetti's channel. He's a pyrenean mtb guru. Very impressive videos.
How did you go on the mountain?
Big ol' road climb.
Hi, can you please telp me how is your fork set up. How much rebound and psi
Haven't a clue honestly, whatever was recommended!
How difficult is to ship your bike across the pond to EU?
Super easy with either a bike bag or a cardboard box on the plane!
Just like a large suitcase in the hold?
Basically yeah, a bike sized suitcase haha.
do you do a europe trip or are you just in spain
Germany and Andorra too this time.

😁
Is this why you were not at the EWS beating up on Dave, Nic, and Jordan?
I was home for the EWS haha, that was an active choice!

@@DaleStone How recent was this? I thought that you would have taken the bigger bike, not the yellow one.
Yellow bike is easier to service in a pinch, and more importantly easier to hike up with on the back!

Different bike this ride ?
Gotta mix it up.
