That’s why he’s doing it safely and being alert, and exposing his child to things in life so that when his child is older they can reasonably assess danger and risk for themselves. Danger is subjective based experience, skill, and knowledge. What I’m capable of is prolly to dangerous for you. If you can’t drive your tractor safely then yes having your kid in your lap would be very dangerous for him. OP seems to be doing just fine and did everything safely all while showing his kid how to do things and spending quality time. I mean if you really want to get technical you could lock your kid in his room to keep him safe from the world but I wouldn’t recommend it.
