Thank you for sharing your experience cruising as an overweight person. I am 387 and I can agree, there are some challenges that being overweight can have while cruising.
I've watched a gazillion cruise videos in preparation for my upcoming cruise. In one of the cruise tips videos, the person mentioned that often times the gym showers were more comfortable for larger people. I haven't seen them for myself, but it might be worth looking into.
They can be more comfortable from a space perspective! I personally prefer to deal with the smaller cabin shower than carry shampoo and clothes to the gym shower, but it’s 100% an option on some ships!
I think you should consider requesting a room for disabilities. I think this is a standard room you are in. Most tend to have more square footage to allow for wheel chairs - I wouldn't expect a lot but every little bit should help. Grab bars might really make things easier.
Thank you so much for these videos, you have made it easier for me to figure out how and what I can do. That is my biggest fear is I won't fit. I am building up the courage to do my first cruise and it will more than likely be solo so these videos give me ideas to plan for my adventure.
Thank you for showing the actual size of the bathroom.. I've been looking into doing a cruise (for the first time) and none of the cruise lines websites seem to show images of the bathrooms, let alone how big/small the shower area is! as a lager sized person who has a (fairly mild) form of claustrophobia in super tight spaces, I know I wouldn't be able to handle that tube type of shower! but one the same size with a curtain instead of glass, would work fine for me... my other issue is I have a bad leg, so limited mobility and ships have a LOT of stairs...
Glad the video was helpful 😃. They do have accessible rooms on royal that would probably work great for you! I’ve seen the rooms in person before and they have a much larger bathroom with no tub and walk in style open floor plan shower with curtain. The room also has a lot more space to walk in and move around. Also the balcony versions have a ramp going outside with a larger balcony as well for space to move.
Thanks for showing your perspective. Hopefully, if more people show their discomfort, inside rooms will, eventually, become more comfortable for everyone!
Thank you so much for making these cruise video's! I have wanted to go on a cruise for years but I'm super scared I wouldn't fit and be able to function on a ship. I know now I will have some problems but I may actually be able to go on one. Thank you!
Thank you! They are very accommodating on Royal Caribbean. The most difficult part for me was the bathrooms in the cabin but if its a big concern booking a junior suite gives a ton more space!
Hi! I do plan to get back into asking videos again. Just trying to figure out some inspiration for topics right now. I would love to do more cruise and travel videos but it’s not in the budget currently. Thanks for watching the channel and hope to be back soon 😃

Hi, thank you for the video. What camera do you use?
Hi! For this video I used the GoPro hero 11 black. But I also shoot with the Sony a7c and Sony zv1.
