Thank you for the review I have wondered how the chair converted into a bed would never think the mattress was beneath pretty neat and could be a lot more comfortable than you thought it would be good to know👍🏽
@@MrTraveler74 my mother is 84 years old with arthritis, neuropathy, and dementia...on a walker. We asked her what she wanted to do while she still could and she said cruise again. So I have a family cruise booked on Independence on Mar 3rd. We have a handicapped room to help. So I just am doing research on everything. Lol. So any help would be appreciated bro!
@@papigrande1971 I've done lots of cruises with mobility impaired family member. First, remember that these ships are BIG. Even though she does well with a walker at home, she may want a wheelchair on the ship. Most ships have a few available for emergencies, but not to loan out to guests for the entire cruise, however, since this would be a "transport chair" rather than one she is in all the time, I'd suggest a visit to your local thrift shop, or even your church. People donate chairs that they don't need any more. Your church might let you borrow one OR you can typically buy one at Goodwill or other thrift stores for $25-30. They fly free on the plane, and you'd have it for the cruise. All ships are ADA compliant, meaning that they have accessible entrances to all areas, etc. You might have to ask where those entrances are! THe HA room that you booked should have a walk in shower with shower chair or bench, safety bars at the shower and toilet, and often an emergency call button at the bed. DO be aware that sometimes the bed in HA cabins won't divide--it will be one large bed that cant separate. Different lines are different in this. If you don't take your own chair, ask for one in the terminal--they will have them to use from the time you drop luggage till you are on the ship (but I'd still suggest getting one!).Those are just for boarding and they can't leave it with you...but it is often a LONG walk thru that terminal. Make your room host aware of anything she/you need. If you opt to rent an electric scooter rather than getting her a chair, DO NOT leave it in the hall unless your ship has a designated charge station (DCL has these near the elevators). Left in the hall gets in the way or wheelchairs, strollers, host carts, etc. You'll need to leave it at a charge station or take it into the cabin. The HA door will be big enough.
perfect because with little ones i dont like the bunk bed style until much older
Damn! Great content. That sofa transformed like magic. I never knew. Would be awesome for the grandkids.

Thank you for the info.I have a question can you make the room warm can’t take too much AC due to anemia.
on most lines, yes. If you cannot regulate it yourself, your stateroom host can do it for you
Love ya always
will you pay full price for the 3rd person?
Not typically. There’s usually a significant price difference for 3rd and 4th guests.
Which cruise ia this?
what cabin class is that?
17 good number
The answer to the title question is that it depends on the cruise line and the room!
Do you like the Mardi Gras?
