The key for me is driving the lead hip forward toward target line rather than rotate it around my body. Great seeing you explaining that in this video. Seems to be missed in many other driver tips videos. Great job Matt!
Brilliant lesson Matt! Just back from the range with the new driver, driver was not the issue. Just the person swinging. 100 balls later and last 5 balls with these steps sure did work! Thanks again for the lessons. Top stuff 👍🏼
You posted this video at exactly the right time for me. I struggled with driver the first day of a local two day tourney and wound up playing my 4 hybrid off the tee after the third hole. Everything just felt awkward with driver and I couldn’t pinpoint the issue. Played well enough to make the cut. Watched your video that evening and got my mind right. Went back the next day and had a fantastic round. Thanks Matt!
I've watched quite a few of the 'big' youtubers. None of them quite seem to make sense with the problems I see in myself. Your recent tips vids are spot on though! Really appreciate your content Matt.
A brilliant video Matt, for both beginners or players that just need a reminder to do the basics well, like myself. I’ve been get caught up with swings thoughts of angle of attack, club path etc when all I really need was a quick 8 minute refresher like this. 👌
You never disappoint Matt. This lockdown has been an inspiration with your videos cramming me with countless tips. I feel more confident on the course (2 comp wins can only be attributed to these lessons). Well done young man keep them coming sir
Thanks for the tips Matt. I seem to be hitting across the ball a lot and slicing/blocking to the right with driver and hitting heely. I think the last tip may help greatly as I may not be getting square through impact. Off to the range...
Hi Matt, awesome content m8, I’m not confident with my driver, even as a steady handicapper, I find myself using my irons most of the time, I know I struggle badly with releasing the club, I will give these tips ago, much appreciated
Love Matt's videos but as a teacher myself I only wish that he had explained lead side hip turn Vs lateral hip slide slightly different. But this man il happily watch on yt all day long
My problem with driver: One day I hit it carry 250 with 100 mph, the other I can't get it over 200 carry or over 90 mph. Worked the whole season on it and can't keep it stable. Any tips for that? Already doing all the tips here, or at least trying.
@@Mattfryergolf could really be the case, it also does feel weird and not smooth anymore. Problem is this problem comes back again and again and again, went trough it at least 6 times this year.
This is really well done, best driver video I’ve seen yet. Can’t wait to try some of this.
Thanks my driver has been lazy last few rounds, needed that lesson to get back on track.🇨🇦
Beautiful Matt! Thank you!!

Good stuff. Very clear Matt.
Thanks, I needed this pep talk.
Wow, recently changed driver, not been able to hit it well, your lesson breakdown to 5 tips should really help, on the range tomorrow.

Great lesson Matt! Love your channel. You are no nonsense and very easy to understand.

Great Lesson Matt, all good things to keep in mind and none of them overly technical!
Great set of tips Matt, thanks.
Really key tips there!
Brilliant!
Thanks Matt, excellent video thank you.
Regarding the release pattern, is this only with the driver because we are trying to hit up on the ball?
Tried this out today. Saw some results. Thanks for the great content Matt!

Great tips / vlog - some food for thought for me; time to head to the practice area I think.
Keep the vlogs coming.
Cheers
Matt Thank you. Unfortunately I already went golfing this morning. Ohio, USA. Soooo I will try those tips tomorrow. 😃
Off to the range to practise this! Your 3 wood from the Tee video helped my game and hopefully this helps my big club

Thanks Matt! Excellent Tips! I really enjoy and learn from your video tips!
Thanks I’m going to start practicing with my driver tomorrow
Thanks, Matt!
Do you give a thought to turning the hands over on the downswing, to square the club face with the ball?

This was great !!!
My driver was definitely NOT my favorite club today. Back to the practice range with your tips.
Great tips Matt 👌
Nice jingle !
Great video Matt! my problem is my launch angle is too high (like 18 degrees) and my spin is around 6500rpm..will these tips help me? Cheers!
Brilliant lesson
Glad you liked it Robert
Great vid try it out tomorrow I get back to you 😄
Cheers matt, struggling with the driver at the moment
Hopefully this works 👍
I struggle and this looks perfect, but how to remember them. Stood over the ball and brain goes to mush!
Hi Matt, I’m constantly hitting it out of the heel of my driver and woods. Any tips?
Was this filmed in Coalville?
Matt - for tip#3, how do I prevent moving too far beyond the ball, which could make me hit down, not up?
This is fate. I needed this
Hope it helps 👍
Yeah im having a problem with snap hooking the ball off the 1st tee. Seems to go away after ive hit about 5 drives. Drives me nuts though.
Do you warm up? Could be nerves as well, few practice shots in the net could help!

Sequence may be out if your seeing drops in speed.
