I just planted a kumquat tree, and it has started blooming for more than a month. I bought Mono potassium phosphate fertilizer(MKP) on Amazon. How do I use it?
@@caroline61804 I usually weigh 2 or 3 grams of MKP and then dissolve them in 1000 ml water. But I carefully checked online and calculated, and found you are right. 1 teaspoon (us) of MKP is 11.52 grams. 1 gallon (us) is 3785 ml. So the concentration is 11.52/3785= 0.30% (around), thus you can do this way, it is relatively easy. Good luck. 👍
MKP concentration I always use for plants is 0.2 - 0.3%. I do not have any problem when I use this concentration, it is pretty safe for plants. You can use pretty often like once per several days, just foliage spray especially for those flowering and fruiting plants. MKP contains high potassium and phosphorous which is really good for these plants.
@@LAyangfamily thanks for the reply. Sir please enlighten me for the use of 0.2 - 3% concentration. What is the meaning of that and Please guide me sir.
@@leonardodavid1945 Thanks, that means you weigh 2 or 3 gram of MKP, and then dissolve them in 1000 ml (1 litter) water. Shake little bit, pretty easy to dissolve. Then it is ready to use. Happy gardening, it will not let you down, and you will find big difference.

0.2% solution for foliage spray. Good luck.
Foliar spray or soil
0.2 - 0.3% MKP can be used in soil or foliar spray, it is pretty safe.
YANG Family in LA is that a teaspoon per gallon of water?
