Assembly Rooms were given tickets to distribute for free and lazily gave them outvat their Under 18s disco night the previous Friday - completelyvwrong audience. I actually had both Johnny Marr and Andy Rourke live on my BBC Radio Derby show that evening just before this. The Smiths second single - This Charming Man had just been released . Early days indeed .
