I will admit that David knows about knives but I would trade him in for a beautiful blonde in a bikini top who has the same knowledge but female of course.
Oh how I remember my shower times in the military, the cry of " QUICK GET HIM HES GOT SOAP IN HIS EYES " always struck fear in the hearts of the new guys ♥️
First two knives: Yeah these would be great for some light duty! Some fun to share with everyone! *Lightning Strike* Third knife: This was made because people were being assaulted in the showers. That's some major whiplash
Never really considered a neck knife but damn, I may just have to reconsider after seeing some really sweet blades in this video. Thank you for sharing good sir!
I wish esse would do a hollow grind izula version so it would slice better also the minimalist crkt needs to add a better steal cause they are garbage if you plan on cutting more then one thing even if it’s only D2 to keep price down I’d happily pay
I have the CRKT Minimalist drop point, and wear it almost every day. Incredibly handy little knife. I didn't like the slide lock on the cord so I reworked it, but otherwise very pleased.
@@CNYKnifeNerd lmao can't argue with that one. Would be nice if came in a 3v or 154... If wouldn't mind paying a little more for if it was. Its definitely no GMF1 but a few swipes across the Black Fox field sharpener usually cleans it right up.
I'd love to have and carry this amazing designed CRKT knife! I never leave home without an EDC in my pocket! My saying is......a knife could save your life! Beautiful features and design! Break down and locking system is pure awesome!!!
That White River Backpacker Pro looks like a great knife. But for a neck-knife it is too long & heavy, even when camping. Would work great for a hiker, I agree.
Just started wearing a neck knife about 2 months ago an esee Xancudo. Just came out this year with s35vn. Used to just carry my benchmade barrage. Used to think neck knives were silly. Boy was I wrong. I use it all the time. Still have my barrage on me and a leatherman. Can't have too many tools on you. I do like that spyderco. Being in Michigan humidity and water is everywhere be nice to have a knife that will never rust.
Years ago, I wasn't sure how much I would like or use a neck knife, but I'm a fixed blade guy and I figured it was worth a shot. I got 2 versions of the CRKT Minimalist and the SPEW. I liked the Minis but not the SPEW, so I gave it away. Got an Izula and a Cold Steel and love both of them, so the Minis got put into kits. Just got a QSP Neckmuk recently and I am digging it too. I don't always EDC a neck knife, but they are definitely a handy tool in many scenarios.
You forgot to mention something pretty important about the CRKT minimalist "gears version". With the "printed blade" version it's not 5Cr15MoV instead it's upgrade to 8Cr13MoV that is standard. Actually all three of the printed blade versions are 8Cr13MoV and not 5Cr15MoV. And then of course this year they released at least one model in D2 steel👍.
Huge fan of neck knives and regularly wear one. My favourites tend to be affordable in the extreme, however the down side with those is poor quality sheath finishing which makes them over bulky. So while the knife and handle are perfect sizes and shapes you suddenly get a whack off slab of kydex which looks and feels daft. I tend to go with a cold steel "secret edge" worn on a 45 degree slant. While that sounds crazy it's really nor when you raise your hand to draw the handle is in the most ergonomic position and feels far better than a vertical draw. Neck knives are great and hope to se more of these videos in future
Let's not forget Cold Steel's "Bird & Trout" & "Bird & Game" neck knives, each with a finger hole. The latter is slightly larger & has some molded on handle material to make it more comfortable to hold in cold conditions. While I wear the "Minimalist" drop point religiously as my EDC, I use either of the Cold Steel neck knives additionally when I hunt or fish!!! I wore the little "Bird & Game today to gut a 13" Brown Trout that I caught & cooked for lunch.
Some great pics here but it'll stick w my Holtzman Gorilla neck knife. Real d2 w a GREAT heat treat. I use it hard (not abuse) n it doesn't disappoint. You guys should put Holtzman in your inventory; they are priced FAIRLY and are reliable n high quality. We are so far beyond 8cr13mov,I don't get why great knives like the minimalist aren't in at least 14c28n (w/o jacking the price up too far). CRKT (for ex) has some of THE most amazing knives that just get ruined w crappy steel.. Anyway, luv ya David C.
Like the look or? Idea of the Izulu, whiteriver, kbar, spyderco. But I would love to hear ur thoughts on the Jesse James purple wood !!! Can b made as neck knife.
I've been wearing the CRKT Spew for almost 8 months now as a neck knife love it and I do wear it 24/7 for the 8 months period . I hardly notice it at all .
I bought the Spyderco Ark H1 steel because of its antirust properties, but i didn’t like the huge sheath. Hard to wear discreetly. I found a very nice Kizlyar Amigo X that is perfect to carry around neck under clothes.
Maybe it's just my observation David but perhaps from the sales perspective I can bet you medium sized to smaller knives are on the rise. I own two neck knives David, one from the Spartan co. and the other from Blackhawk co. The Enryo from Spartan is an amazing neck knife from different perspectives. This knife is really sharp, holds an amazing edge when resharpened and can also serve for self defense purposes, all though It's not the largest but boy can this knife cut and stab. Now my review on the Blackhawk's neck knife is it's definitely built for military purposes like concealment, sharpness and self defense besides survival. The Blackhawk is also serrated which helps woth bushcrafting if you choose.
That CIVIVI Kiri-EDC is no kiridashi, it has a symmetrical edge profile. Kiridashi are flat on one side, hence you can get left-handed and right-handed kiridashi.
For you who live in the US. What do your laws look like about carrying a knife. Here in Sweden you are not allowed to carry a knife out in public where the blade is larger than 1.2 inches (3cm).
I have to mention on the Condor, you could also lash a split stick around it to make a more robust handle. I'm guessing that would be a more likely scenario than making a spear.
What about the duck by out door edge knives neck knife 🔪 it's been out a while I no like to here what u have to say about it and the new swiss army neck knife
I started my neck knife journey with the CRKT drop point. It had great ergonomics for such a small knife but not enough blade to use as a slicer. It also didn't hold an edge well. Then I went to the Cold steel bird and fish. It is really a great value and a good all around neck knife. I just had problems with it rusting since I carried it 24/7 while backpacking and sweat all over it every day. My current go to is the White River which I chose over the ESEE. I would have to say it is as perfect an all around knife as you can get. Shaving sharp out of the box and holds a great edge. It's ergonomics are perfect for me. I love the wrapped grip, but if you do a lot of skinning it could get funky really fast. So far only one tiny rust spot which I buffed out with some lube.
Wondering if I can get a catalogue on knives that you showed me and other knife please comment back thank you very much I will be waiting for your comment I like the one that was in the package it would be just a secondary knife to keep in vehicle or in tool Box thank you very much Please comment back and let me know
Not a big neck knife fan, but I do use them occasionally. I have the CRKT Minimalist and an Izula I I. For me, the Izula is a little too big as a neck knife so I either pocket or belt carry that one. I'm really interested in the Spyderco ARK and the White River Backpacker Pro. Hopefully, I will probably acquire one or both this year.
I love my CRKT minimalist with the Bowie blade...BUT MY NEW FAV NECKER is... the CONDOR "KICKBACK '' Perfect size blade..1075 carbon steel with coating.. handle is sort of like the azula... But cord wrapped.&. sheath is excellent ..it's nice& light ...$23 !! ❤️
I’ve been lusting after a White River Backpacker for some time. I was just about to pull the trigger when I came across a Bradford G-Necker for about $20 less in ELMAX. So good 😊
I own the White River M1 Caper with brown burlap micarta. It's exactly the same as the Backpacker Pro but with permanent handles. It's awesome. Buy it. You won't regret it. There's at least one important omission here - the Ruike F815 Hornet. It's about the size of the BK11/BK14, and has a broad-ish drop-point blade with a high flat grind, swedge, and distal taper, made from 14C28N steel. It is a cutting, slicing, and piercing champion. And the ergos are very good. It has a skeletonized, curved handle with an integral choil/guard, and matching skeletonized G-10 scales, and everything is chamfered for comfort. Bonus: It comes with a removable, multi-position belt clip. All this for $46.
I need something with a latch. couple of these knifes on the this list just keep falling out of the sheath on their own. For my work i use them several times a day and it's worn out the latching groves or tabs of the knife. My last high end neck knife fell out of the sheeth in the couch and I didn't find it till the next day. Lot of people really love the Cold Steel Bird & Game knife as it has a pinky ring at the back so you can let go of it to free up your hands, but still keep it at the ready.
I love neck knives, I used to have a CRKT Minimalist that i carried all the time but I unfortunately lost it. I have 2 that i switch between now, A Cold Steel Mini Tac bowie for when I need something a little bigger and a Condor Fidelis.
The most useful, user friendly knife I carry is that izula in 440c with tkc scales. It’s almost perfect. A four inch blade would made it perfect. I bought a Becker 14 for the bigger blade and minutely bigger handle and I am not a fan. The secondary bevel on the blade was not the same angle so it was way off and the black coating made it impossible to fix with a wet stone. So I stripped the coating off the blade and evened it out. I still don’t like it. The blade isn’t very functional IMO.
I love my little Gerber Bear Grills paracord knife. I replaced the Orange paracord with Black and scraped the Orange off the sheath, then I took the belt clip off and put paracord on it to wear it around my neck. Under $25 bucks and it's a great little blade.
Nice vid. I got a buck caper knife in blaze orange. Made a simple kydex sheath and been pretty happy with that. Real smooth slicer and takes a crazy sharp edge.
Thanks for comin at me can you please answer a question "many" of us are wondering: I notice you left out the bradford g necker in elmax which is a premium quality tool steel and yet you haven't mentioned it once in any of your video's. Is that because Bradford didn't give you any money or free knives or are you just not aware of it???
None of these brands give us money to be featured. At the time we made this particular vid we didn't have any of those G Neckers in stock unfortunately, but they are great knives! -DCA

I really hope that Spyderco makes an ARK in LC200N. It's been a popular design, so I think it would be a mistake if they didn't
I’m getting the Spyderco for my next neck knife.

I've carried a CRKT Minimalist for years. Solid knife, comfortable to use!

Becker Necker jack of all trades, gotta admit the Edris looks very good for utility work.
Do you know if this will fit in bk9 sheath?
I've been looking for a little camp whittling knife that civivi Kiri would be nice!
I'd go with the Eldris for that :) -DCA
TOPS msk 2.5 (1095 steel) and Bradford G-Necker (Elmax) too very good neck knives. TOPS my wood processor.
So that’s why no one takes a shower over there in Afghanistan!
you don't rate the SOG instinct bro?
There's at least one important omission here - the Ruike F815 Hornet. It's about the size of the BK11/BK14, and has a broad-ish drop-point blade with a high flat grind, swedge, and distal taper, made from 14C28N steel. It is a cutting, slicing, and piercing champion. And the ergos are very good. It has a skeletonized, curved handle with an integral choil/guard, and matching skeletonized G-10 scales, and everything is chamfered for comfort. Bonus: It comes with a removable, multi-position belt clip. All this for $46.
I have a CRKT S.P.E.W. That I edc every day. Love this little neck knife.
I need something with a latch. couple of these knifes on the this list just keep falling out of the sheath on their own. For my work i use them several times a day and it's worn out the latching groves or tabs of the knife. My last high end neck knife fell out of the sheeth in the couch and I didn't find it till the next day.
These things all get worn out and it could've seriously injured my 4 year old son who plays on the couch which is where the knife fell out.
These need a mechanism like a latch for more than daily users.
You recommend a hollow point buck knife... I really can't watch your channel after that as I nearly bought it...
Ahhh 2020 that year sucked! Good day.

And probably more things I haven't tried.
Wow, you nailed it, Man. Excellent choices and descriptions. I too favor the White River knife. Texas
I could watch his reviews all day long
I have an older model Becker Necker Limited Ed SS w/Japan Steel & the sheath gave me fits
first the finger guard needs the edges rounded or it years up the sheath
had to heat the sheath & mash it for good retention
went thru 3 belt clips, one had no spring, another shattered, and finally a working one
older model sheath has no lock, understand why it was added
horrible time with customer support
next knifes the ARK...back pack pro...izula2 & condor bushnecker got into neck knifes this year great knifes
Cant beat mora eldris price, ergon & easy maintenance. Look like mama's knife but save u a lot of trouble if officers found out.
MKM Jesper Voxnaes Mikro 2 in M390 is another great neck knife.
Hi thx, what about the spartan enyo?
I like to carry the SOG Snarl!
And you could mentioning the original Jason Brous Silent Soldier!
Bradford G Necker Elmax steel..that’s the best for the price & specs..
Watched all of it
I have a black jack neck knife with a leather sheath with magnet retention. Love it. Great for fishing
Lot of people really love the Cold Steel Bird & Game knife as it has a pinky ring at the back so you can let go of it to free up your hands, but still keep it at the ready.
I own several neck knives, but I don't wear them on a daily basis in part because I cannot carry a concealed knife in my state. It's a problem.

I was just looking for a video on neck knives. You guys read my mind!
Neck knives are too under represented in the blade community. They're quite amazing for self-defense!!!
2020?? These are all old knives! Nothing that would have come onto the market in 2020
Si lo pudieran traducir a Español estaría exelente para seguidores latinos saludos
Izula and backpacker ….my two picks!
The most useful, user friendly knife I carry is that izula in 440c with tkc scales. It’s almost perfect. A four inch blade would made it perfect. My neck or appendix - carry secondary knife is a casström safari, with the cydex option, great knife snappy sheath and great overall quality.
I love my little Gerber Bear Grills paracord knife. I replaced the Orange paracord with Black and scraped the Orange off the sheath, then I took the belt clip off and put paracord on it to wear it around my neck.
Under $25 bucks and it's a great little blade.
I have the backpacker😎
With a kydex sheath the Buck Paklite could be a very nice and affordable neck knife!.
I dont know... Do i watch the Videos for the blade or the cool guy in the Video?
This last White River Knife, they are available with screwable handles too, which makes it a way better choice for neck knife...
Nice vid. I got a buck caper knife in blaze orange. Made a simple kydex sheath and been pretty happy with that. Real smooth slicer and takes a crazy sharp edge.
Picked up the white river caper and have to say it has quickly become one of my favorite EDC and back packing knives.
Cowabunga.!
I wish that spyderco with H1 wasn’t soo ugly

None of these brands give us money to be featured. At the time we made this particular vid we didn't have any of those G Neckers in stock unfortunately, but they are great knives! -DCA
I have two Minimalists (one Bowie, one drop point), and a TOPS MSK (mini scandi). Great all around.
That spyderco thingy looks a lot like the mini tac thingy cold steel used to do.....
Wish they would still produce the izula in stainless.
