His trucks are great but have you seen what he does with classic cars? His builds are the embodiment of what every kid and teen who was infatuated with cars wanted to build... only better. He spares no expense and maybe even channels what the original car designers and engineers wanted to build from the factory but simply couldn't because of economics (not to mention including modern tech that wasn't available to them.) He could do a Yugo project, and we we would ALL watch.

Beautiful truck as always. One thing though and it may just be a bad angle but for as neat and attention to detail as you are (4:31) that battery cable mess seems uncharacteristic of you. Like I said it might just be a bad angle because I've never noticed it before. I'm always impressed of the work Icon does.

Another beauty. I am curious; i have heard Mr Ward, in another video (w/ J Leno) talk about how Toyota came to his company to build the first test-FJ Cruisers...so obviously he has a relationship with them. Why won't they see his work on these machines and allow engine-only sales of their V8s (4.6 or 5.0 sized) to install into these restorations instead of seeing him use the GM engines? I think that would complete the 'bring the FJ40s into the modern' vibe that he is going for. The same way he puts the Mustang 5.0s into the Ford Bronco builds, and the Chevy V8s into the Chevy pickup builds...Why is Yota so stingy with them? Add 15 to the order sheet heading to Tx. for the Tundras, and slide them over to the Icon shop, ya know.

I love everything about that build but the roof lights. I would like to see some round ones up there. That bar doesn’t fit the vintage look.
