I just love how important aesthetics were back when. From the gate, to the building's architecture, so much effort put into simply making even a simple utilities building look presentable.
Looks like a water or waste pumping station. Would make a great home? Would love to refurbish it back to use! They were built to last. Usually solid construction. Keep on exploring. All good fun😊👍
That's Hunger Hill pumping station, the CCWW stands for Chesterfield Corporation Water Works. The orange gloopy mud is iron oxide, really common in areas with a history of coal mining. The YT channel Trekking Exploration made a video about this place a year or so ago. 👍

Could it possibly be an old water pump house?
Definitely an old pumping station.
The building should be restored. The stonework is worth preserving.
