It looks fantastic! For the foam that you taped off, you could try painting a few coats of mod podge over it, and then paint it with the actual paint. Another thing you could do for the black effect on the vault door is painting it with a watered down black paint, and wiping away the excess, leaving the black paint in the crevices. You could also use a makeup sponge to lightly dry brush the flat surfaces of the vault door with black paint to add more of a worn look to it. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!
Thank you for the tips. I will use the suggested watered down black paint and use it in the crevices 👍 Im planing on shaping the rear part of the door (where it was tapped off) as it has some curves on it, so I might use some putty of something similar.
Coming along nicely. Really like the cave walls. It was a good choice to leave some of the cracks in. I keep hoping WB will put out a nice big book about the production for Batman 89. They could do it for all the Burton/Schumacher films, really, but Batman 89 for sure. I know a lot of it has made it's way out over the years, but one book to have it all together would be great. I'm kind of surprised it hasn't happened already. Hopefully one day, though.
You’ve made a good point. Over the years there have been snippets of production related material for Batman 89. I have book from the time that kinda goes through it. But a modern book collecting all the photos and stories together would be a great read. I’d definitely back that idea 👍
Really awesomely detailed door!!! Awesome addition!!! ❤😊❤
