Talk about cutting it close! You should’ve gotten a beer after that little adventure! 😂 But the scenery out there was amazing. I really liked the spy story at the end too. Thanks for sharing!
Another super video. I'm sure that most of us could share an experience of almost running out of petrol., but yours was literally on fumes. The gas gods were with you for sure. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
I`m sat here chuckling to myself as you`re on almost zero fuel, Tomtom shows all fuel sations 😄😄 Then I was sat here shouting at you, "the pumps are on the road behind those vehicles" !!! Loved the series Dave 😇
I’m nearly 100% sure Richy Vida put his drone up over that waterfall definitely once possibly twice when he was doing his WAW videos. That’s another great WW2 fact for the memory bank Dave, there’s so many little stories of people doing small things that made big a difference for our freedoms today
I’ll take the mick out of Richy for that. I suppose asking for forgiveness is easier than permission in a scenario like that. Thanks again for watching Trevor.
Was there myself back in May. Was at Kielder Forest and pulled into Bellingham services, It closed 5 minutes before my arrival. Sat nav pointed me to a petrol station that didn't exist. 7km is what is left after the bars go on the GS. Ran out heading to Kielder petrol station. Had to order a taxi to get me to Kielder petrol station. That cost me £80 in total
Great video again. As you get older you will learn. Fill up in plenty of time and never miss the chance to go for a pee. All the best Dave keep up the good work 👍👍👍
Hi Dave, Great scenery made even better by your chat. Really enjoyed the local history segments as they can bring a purpose to the ride out. Glad you didn't have to push the GS, and you also brought through the excitement (panic?) of running out of fuel in the middle of nowhere. We have all been there. You must have great will power to avoid the pub after the stress!😇
Once again a brilliant vid, funny thing is my wife was yelling at the screen to stop and and get off your bike and look for the pumps. She reckons id do the same in her words (Bloody Men) keep up the good work Dave cheers Glenn.
I could sense the tension here Dave, the fear of running out of fuel was real. But at 13:55 in when you're looking at the waterfall, I paused and asked the wife when we were at this same location. I was so confident I was there before, to then be told I am remembering a time with another woman. After some time I realised I was never here but I remember this from Dicky Vegas (aka Richy Vida) when he was in Ireland the first time, and I am pretty sure he had his drone up.
🤣🤣🤣 I’m sorry if I landed you in trouble there Dominic! I remember Rich doing his Ireland tour but I must check his vids again and see if it’s the same one. Yes that was a close call with the fuel.🤯😮💨
Brilliant as always Dave, with such an amazing story to tell! The more I hear about WW2, there were so many unsung hero's that avoided us from speaking German today. Could be wrong but I think our bikes hold 20 litres, but even so, very little to spare!
Haha i hate the old fuel anxiety my Tiger does the same can be on 40 miles then suddenly drop to 10 or even 0 before 🤦🏼♂️ , great stuff mate ,now I'm off for a Guinness 👍🏻
Dave, KDN North Yorkshire and Dylan Owen sum it up for me. Looking forward to the next one. Be well and ride safe because without your vlogs the biking world would be a poorer place.
Laughing my a@*e off at your predicament, but only as I've found myself in a similar situation on the West coast of Scotland!! Great videos Dave, loving your Passes episodes.
Love that part two. Brought back some fond memories. I see you are using a cradle for your phone….is that the BMW Connected one? Juts noticed you’re using a usb lead. I’ve got the cradle and it sometimes charges wirelessly but other times not so I use a usb too. Have you been to Glandalough? Fantastic little cafe there
Thanks Mark. The cradle is an Amazon cheapie (link below) but works superb as I prefer my phone for navigation. Yeah been to Glendalough many times but they don’t like drones so have it a miss this time.
Another great video Dave, the barrenness of the Sally Gap has a beauty all its own, and we had the fuel drama and a little history lesson thrown in for good measure. Did you tip out through Glendalough while you were out that way?
Thanks Dylan. I didn’t bother with Glendalough only because it’s been done to death and the video took a 16 hr day to complete anyway so I ran out of time too. I loved it though. Back soon so will give you a shout for a spin out.
Your fuel anxiety would be alleviated with a GSA. Gas ..Sally Gap was never busier during the lockdown, they had to station Garda at glencree to stop the pilgrimage. It was like every coffee shop que only on a larger scale 😂
A bit of a problem of that Untapped Mekka is that from the EU mainland it takes 1 boat, a trip trough the UK, another boat and then u can drive around in Ireland. And to go home again the 2 boats and trip trough the UK. It is VERY expencive..
Sally gap is now full of Donut rings. And what are like running low on fuel. FFS ye should know the story by now😂😂 and even gordies can use the military road 😂
Faaaaaantastic !!!! Thank you . The more I watch your great vlogs , the faster an Ireland bike tour climbs up my bucket list.
You’re very kind. 🙏🏍
Really enjoyed that Dave, felt like I was there with you! - fabulous stuff, look forward to the next one….
Cheers Andy. Muchas Gracias! 😜

Thanks John. Yeah that’s the closest I’ve ever been. 😮💨

Great Videos of Ireland 🇮🇪 and of course Motorcycling.
Maith thú!

I know those services in Bellingham. That turned out to be an expensive fill. 😟🏍

Wise words Marc!😜🤣🤣👍

Thanks Wolfie. Yes I could have gone back to that Guinness lake and drank a fair portion of it after that.🤪🥵
Great videos Dave. A tip for future trips - fill up before you start.
🤣👌
Enjoying you’re trip bro. I love Ireland.
Thanks buddy 👍🏍

🤣🤣 Love that!
Thanks for another beautiful episode. Ireland is now on my bucket list.

Dave I refuelled at those pumps 2 years ago. One of the most awkward pumps to fill at that I ever used because of the slopes on the ground!!!
Yes I remember the slope! Still, I was delighted to see them. 😮💨
Brilliant as always Dave, with such an amazing story to tell! The more I hear about WW2, there were so many unsung hero's that avoided us from speaking German today.
Could be wrong but I think our bikes hold 20 litres, but even so, very little to spare!
Thanks Don. I won’t be testing the capacity of the fuel tank so close in the future.
Another great episode

Loved the scenary, the range anxiety and the story. Very enjoyable 👍
Superb video Dave, had it all..Suspense, entertaining and educational. love the history that goes with the area you cover. Really enjoyed it!
Many thanks KDN. Appreciate the kind words.👍🏍

Thanks Trev, that’s a lovely message to read. Much appreciated. 🏍👍

Beautiful! Always enjoy your videos! Oh and on a side note, I sold my FJR1300 (yes I know you know the pain) and got a Hayabusa haha
Wow, you went for an even bigger/faster bike ?!
@@WheelieGoodTV sure did and she's amazing

Great video, I was wondering how many miles you have on your BMW GS.
I have 25000KM on her now.

🤣🤣That’s gas !
@@WheelieGoodTV your costing me a bloody fortune...2 bags and a chigee sat nav 😭

Yes fair enough.
How is the Connected Ride cradle?
Perfect Chuck. No vibration and much cheaper than the Garmin.
Worra div.😉😉🤣....he who has never been same fuel situ...is 🤥🤥🤥 got a tree'mendous problem😉😉 ps your really doing a cracking job with these vids....
Aye ownly a daft Geordie would forget to fill up before a trip like this man. 👍👍🤣
Have been riding with Freddy Dobbs again?
Not me mate. Don’t know him personally.
How has your 2016 GS aged in 2022?
That’s a bit weird! I’ve just recorded that video and will be coming soon. 👍🏍
