Was installing this same wilwood setup on my 87 Fiero with all the same parts (using Brian's hubs & kit) and got very confused when installing the rears with the wonky fit. Thanks for the super simple and clever work around by switching to washers. 👍
@Cory Rowan no problem... His stuff is quality! I'm think his spacers were designed for a OEM caliper and that's why the subtle difference. Let us know how it stops, when you're done!
On the front brake line, is the little metal clip necessary to take off to be able to loosen the hose from the brake line? I’ve nearly rounded my fitting trying to get it off😢
@Ben Corder no I don't think it has to come off. Yeah those brake lines get stock on there pretty easy. If they start to round out slip, get a good pair of Vise Grips, and clamp them as hard as you can, then use those to break it free.
I have an 86 Fiero 2m6 notchie. I did the bigger the brake booster, and want to do what you did here, with rotors and calipers….Were you able to maintain your hand brake? I have a standard and want to keep hand brake. And are the rotors the same all the way around?
@Fast Cars That's awesome...I know everything I did make a HUGE difference! You can't keep the handbrake with this caliper setup...I think there might be a wilwood caliper where you can tho... Or it might be a separate caliper that is only mechanical? And yeah the rotors are the same all the way around... Rear 11.25" lebaron rotors. There's a parts list in the description, if that helps too.
@@mabuildsofficial I have been eyeing up the tiny electric separate ebrake caliper wilwood sells to possibly add the brake back in. Would have to fab some brackets, but it would make this brake swap legal everywhere, and delete the seize happy stock ebrake cables. Wonder if they could be wired up to a switch or something

I had a 85 2m6 when I was in college. I’m 6’6” & tried to get into a 86 gt. It shrunk! Anyone ever modify seat / firewall to allow for more headroom?

80-85 caddy Seville rear calipers used on opposite side. For those who want to have a functional hand brake.
Man those brake calipers clean up those wheel wells.
