I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

I think the community doesnt know the difference between bad and annoying
Yup
Pve wise I would love troodon removed. Pvp wise good pocket dino
Fr
@Henbird primitive saddles are 50% damage resist, and without the pack buff, this makes them stronger than dire wolves
@Henbird they tank more with ascendant saddles so no
The Sabertooth is one of my favorite early game tames. They are stronger than a Raptor, faster than a Carno and a lot easier to tame than a Terror Bird.
only issue is that the dire wolf beats it in every aspect. plus raptors have pounce and caron’s now have bleed. sabertooths have nothing unique anymore
@@peanutbuttertheninja well its better than direwolf cuz has saddle?
@@grim7298 however it doesnt receive the pack bonus that the dire wolf receives
@@nincumpoop4133 i still prefer direwolves so idc i was just tryirng to defend the poor sabertooth
@@grim7298 its not a bad tame just not the best needs a TLC that gives it bleed or makes it faster or something
This feels more like “the most annoying dinos”
@傷齒龍147 Troodon147 lio is kinda useless.
@Qu yeah, most of these are there for challenge, except icthys, they can go die
Ikr
Most annoying ones are also most hated
That statement about sabertooths appearing in the most inconvenient times is so true. I was on the center swimming between islands and one came up from the bottom of the ocean and killed me.
It’s cause their aggro radius is so huge. Probably bigger than a raptor’s lol
I lost a high level Quetzal to one, the mf sneaked past me and went directly to the Quetzal killing it before I could do anything.
For me it's their abundance. Their like hamsters with knifes, theyre not very dangerous, although they are very annoying and will poke at your ankles
@@koshun84 thank you for that mental image
I recently had one literally tackle me while I was trying to shoot at an alpha rex. It got stuck inside of me and I couldn't run away from the rex needless to say I got chomped and died instantly.
Also I played on an unofficial server where the owner hated pegos and Itchyornis so much he changed their spawns into trilobites. lol
That must have been a lot of free pearls
@@cosmic7639 lol yeah, free pearls, good way to get chitin, some oil early game.
@@acidreins Oh I also once played in a similar server.Though in my case, the owner is a ralf base hobbyist. So,He turned all crystal water leeds and eels into basilos which caused a huge lag spike. He later just turned them into icthys tho.
whats wrong with pegos?
@@daddyfett9857 they steal your stuff,a pego swarm will stole all of ur stuff
I disagree with the compies. I got saved from troodons by a pack of wild compies once. All but one of the compy pack died in the effort, but my life was saved. The one left even stood guard over me till I woke up, so I tamed it.
Dream compy, he is worthy of tribe acceptance
You can tame complies?
@@glaciier1265 yup
@@glaciier1265 Prime meat, if i remember correctly.
This is actually adorable
I never knew the troodon torch thing mad could've been knocked out a whole lot less 😂
Top 10 worst tameable creatures?
Same
Worst tameable creature=compy
The Icthyornis is technically a flying Pegomastix, but more annoying.
And you cant get your loot from it
I used to find then more annoying until one pego ate my kibble i had it the last slot for passive taming.
at least theyre useful when tamed, collecting prime meat for taming at a moments notice is invaluable
I feel like the leedsichthys should have been at least an honorable mention. I mean it’s great that it gives you so much prime fish meat but it makes trying to sail the seas in the early-mid game an absolute PAIN.
The concept is interesting, but it was done so poorly, if a leedsichthys sees you and you aren't close to shore your raft is dead, they aggro from miles away and you can't outrun them
i’ve never seen one
This. I built a huge taming raft to take to the snow biome and tame mammoths and rhinos. Only thing was I was still a bit of a Bob and didn’t know alpha leedsichthys existed…
10000 stone, several storage containers full of supplies, and one destroyed raft later I was stranded in the middle of an ocean trying desperately to whistle for my argy to pick me up.
Whats a leedsitchys?
This should be top annoying but not worst honestly
I’ve never seen the Sabertooth as annoying, It wasn’t really “picked” it was just the bottom of the barrel.
Knocked me off a mountain after dismounting my Terry trying to find an argentavis so I knocked its whole legacy out
To be more specific, I knocked them out and chomped them
Sabertooth more or less represents the entire game , people hate them but at the same time they don't want it to remove them completely either
Yea, they really aren't though enough to be annoying not do they do anything annoying like a pego or icthyornis
I hate terror birds more, they’re fast and chase you to the ends of the earth. The only thing I hate about sabertooths are how they knock you off cliffs.
After today's expedition into one of the Aberration caves, I'd like to add Aberrant Raptors to this. Never in my life have I died so much because the Raptors keep pinning me off my tames saddle.
any kind of raptor used to do that on any map but they removed it except there
I remember a microraptor LITERALLY FLEW up to my argentavis and got me instantly killed by fall damage.
It followed my evasive maneuvers. I went down, and then up and I saw it just glide up and down with no speed decrease. This happened yesterday.
Damn life hard sometimes
Did everyone forget about titanaboa?, and what about terror birds?
Neither are tough or do something annoying like stun. Sure pack of terror birds can be kinda dangerous, but you have no business in redwoods early on. Later a carno, argent or bary will have no isses with them
@@damnsonwheredyoufindthis.3830 If you get bitten by a titanoboa like once or twice, you will get perma-knocked out and die
@@russianman3485 not if you have a mount, good weapons or armor. All is early game problems. I have been knocked out like 3-4 times by a titanoboa over the years and never died, i always killed it before i got knocked out and wake up safe or had a neutral mount defend my body if anything else tries something. The only creature that has killed me while i was knocked out have been troodons. Mid-late game you should have 10-20 stimulant on your hotbar anyway every time you leave the base, definately in caves. Theres literally no scenario outside of very early game where titanoboa can be dangerous without it being your own carelessness by not having a mount on neutral as you get off
@@damnsonwheredyoufindthis.3830 the weapons don’t really matter, you just need to kill the boa if it did bite you. It is still very annoying because it takes forever to kill you and you just have to wait. I guess it is early game problems but I have been knocked out in midgame with full flak and ascendant weapons. Sometimes you just don’t see it coming.
@@russianman3485 and thats why you should carry stimulant and have your mounts always on neutral, at least when getting off so they deal with it. Weapons do matter though. I have never been knocked out instantly, its always seconds after, the snake will be dead by then, they don't have that much hp, few headshots at most from a good gun or crossbow is enough. Or couple slashes from a good sword
While I understand that these creatures are meant to up the difficulty factor. There really should be a section in the server settings to turn off certain creatures or at least drop their spawn rates.
I can deal with getting nipped in the ankles but having my stuff stolen is so frickin' annoying because they take entire stacks.
I’ve died to piranha’s 20 times more than to any of these
Lol

I feel like Ichthyornis is ARK's Cliff Racer.
I was thinking about what dinos i expected to see, internally bitching about microraptors and troodons, but when the video reminded me of the purlovia, the vietnam flashbacks came flooding in. Seriously fk those things.
I feel like every one always forgets about getting bio toxins from mushrooms in abberation
I can't really explain it, but I love pegomastyx. My first game I accidentally tamed like 20 of them because I kept putting berries in my hot bar. I couldn't figure out why I kept taming them. They were like my house cats, I fed one and they just kept showing up. 10/10 would hoard again.
half of these creatures that dismount you don’t even bother me since I have a giant snek
considering the fact that they usually aim for the middle of the basilisks body and the player rides while sitting on the sneks head
Fun fact: If you have tamed compys near an hatching egg they will increase the chance of twins or more babies in the egg. (The only use they have.)
Dam ty actually didn’t know that
AYO WTF HUH???!??????
Really? Never knew this.
Lies
I can really understand this list, but without them it would be tooo easy
Purlovia caused alot of dino deaths for my Dad on Fjordur. He brought cryopodded Gigas into a cave, and then got knocked off his mount and fell into a infinite hole, loosing all of the items he was carrying, including cryopodded dinos.
When your living in the redwoods on rag and you get purlovia'd manage to kill it get back on your tame. 5 second later get microrapter'd off and then have your shit stolen by a pego only to then be knocked out by a troodon who would rather run around in circles over you sleeping body not attacking until your about to wake up and then boom. Your torpor goes up again. I'm still depressed about that day xD
Icthyornis' can be a really useful tame if you can get one early on. Their hunt and retrieve ability makes taming Otters and Hesperornis much easier. It also gives you access to prime meat from Dodo's/Lystro's and prime fish from Coels/Piranhas which makes taming in general way easier before you have access to kibble. Tamed a max level Bary the other day with prime fish harvested completely from Piranha using my Icthyornis. Absolutely f**k wild Icthyornis though.
Ichthyornis useless? Annoying, frustrating and rage inducing, yes. Useless? No. Their ability to bring you back dodos and fish with a change of a higher quality meat for taming early game makes them very useful. That being said, they definitely deserve the number one spot. Losing these little shits can be a nightmare.
I agree with most of this list but the sabers have never annoyed me I think the piranhas should be much higher up especially on the island
Poor liploridon. Didnt deserve this. It just needed to be buffed up. Especially since extinction exists. It would be good if they made it better.
Nee-dar-ee-ah is the jellyfish. I say it just to get people to react with "...the what??" when in live chats
An ichtyornis straighy up evicted me from my first base it killed my lystrosaurus and dodo and ate a bunch of my stuff. Why did the developers think those seagulls were a good thing to put in the game?
I like that when he showcases the seagull, it's covered head to toe in wounds. I guess he just beat it up beforehand 💀
The Kapro is amazing for PVP, I've literally killed a tamed giga with it. Perfect ambush mount, hide by a red drop, kill player/tame, retreat to sea
The sabertooth is so good! Just because it can be annoying doesn't mean its trash. You can pump stamina and spam the jump ability and it makes you zoom across land. It is also an impeccable hide gatherer.
Dickbirds are just a simple kill on sight for me.
I like Microraptors for base defence. It's amusing to throw a bunch of them at people trying to soak your turrets and watching the panic.
I had a base near an obi where pegos lurked, and before everyone had tek transmitters they would upload stuff out. The pegos there were ALWAYS carrying loot, a few times tek even. I feel bad for the poor guy who got jumped by pegos waiting out timers and never found the thief.
I had no clue that torch helps with nocturnal troodons... after like 3000 hours :D
Honestly same! It's nice to know that now. Troodons are only annoying when you don't have a mount like a Stego or Raptor. Something that can easily kill them, though later in the game once you have better weapons and armour they shouldn't be a problem.
The ichy actully has a ton of uses when tamed! Though I agree 100% infuriating. The ability to turn any dodo into prime meat and any fish into prime fish meat makes it a useful taming pal. I think too if they harvest a Parasaur you can get prime meat(not sure need to conferm) Pego is way worse as when tamed is truely useless as well as ugly. The ichy just needs fewer spawns and not be in swarms to ballence. The jellyfish however in my opinion are way worse. With too much health and always spawning in levels the dinos on land never seem to spawn in as they are too op, quick and agressive
Pretty much all these creatures made me move out of the Redwoods when they were introduced into the game. Just like I don't usually go into the oceans anymore because of jellyfish and Eels.
Never knew about the troodon leaving you alone with light trick. Would've been so helpful when they killed me
Taming them is a pain, took 3 wyvern on official
@@Paul-lo2km how u only need one level 120 plus wyvern baby for a high level troodon
@@goldie3004 it took me 3 wyvern for one troodon
The other day i saw a comment that was like talking about the useless dinos and he putted baryonyx dodo lystros microraptors and some more cool creatures that all of them have a purpose on the game beside compys that they just exist
Well that's pretty dumb.
Baryonyx is actually a pretty decent useful dino. They are nimble against other creatures in terms of strength and are decently fast. They also have infinite oxygen and a stun ability that can be used while in the water. The only drawback is that the stun ability only works on certain sized creatures. An example is that it will work on Megalodons but not the jellyfish.
Dodos are actually good for early game since you can use them to carry things as well as using them as a meat shield/distraction.
The lystro is good early game, but not so great later in the game. Their ability that allows creatures to level up faster is only good for low leveled creatures and becomes pretty useless later on besides being a house pet.
I can't exactly say anything good about the Microraptor since I never tamed one nor cared much for them. I just found them annoying since me and my friends would he attacked at random by them near the Redwoods on The Island and in the Arctic on Genesis. They dismount pretty easily and can cause problems. They might be good against other players though. You could use them to stun someone on a Raptor for example and go in for the kill.
I’ve literally never had problems with itchythornis, however you spell it
Ichthyornis. It doesn't have itchy thorns, haha.
Literally every single person who has ever played ark has had problems with them so stop the cap
This kind of deserves the title “creatures that need a TLC” for most of them anyway
I don't think enough people have played in the bog to understand that insect swarms are the true number 1. 👀
i knew that before i even started playing ark. abck at the soccer practice when i would put my water down and mosquitoes would be covering it xP
Dude, insect swarms suck. Me and my friends never had problems with them on The Island due to them not being large swarms making them easy to kill. We started playing Genesis and lived in the Arctic even though the bog is labeled the easiest area. We'd immediately get swarmed and die and so we'd rather freeze to death and live longer than be killed every couple minutes.
@@artemis3966 they constantly spawn in and attack your creatures at your base. I had to leave the bog i spent more time defending then anything else 😒
@@Chaotic_Gaming Yeah, the bog should not be listed as easy. It's the worst place to live since you'll constantly be defending your creatures. The Arctic biome is your best chance at survival honestly. The best place to live in the Arctic is at this frozen lake where you can do the fishing mission. Never had problems living there. Besides freezing.
@@artemis3966 i prefer the ocean myself nice and peaceful 😌
At least pegos give your items back on death, icthys just eat it :/ (btw you would think 70 narcotics would kill it if it ate them lmao)
The sabertooth IMO is the worst to encounter when starting off. You just found a good place to build your base and the next thing you see is your screen turning red while trying to place down a thatch foundation.
I DESPISE Pegoes. Not because they steal my stuff, but because they get tamed and I now have an emotion attachment to this adorable little thief on my SINGLEPLAYER SERVER. So NOW it's MY RESPONSIBILITY to keep this WASTE OF BERRIES ALIVE. Yea, not fun.
the only two i find annoying are pegos and the seaguls both just ransack you as soon as they see you, the others i either never run into or i am able to deal with them as i never leave my base without some form of protection because of how unpredictable they all are.
For Peggy just walk around with narcos in ur last hotbar
I hate how people say that annoying dinos should be removed, this is not a game that will always go your way, it's a survival game that has obstacles
When I just started playing ark, an icthy took my narcotics and I expected it to knock out after hearing the eating sound. To then my surpised came in for another swoop knocked my blow out of my hands!
Well the Icthyornis isn't totally useless, it is good for grinding prime at lower levels as a shoulder pet.
Mind you I think that most of these need tweaks and not removal. (This from an admin that replaces some of them on his servers)
And really NO LEEDSITHYS?!?! Must not have been allot of us ARK sailors (especially from before it was added) online.
Surprisingly it wasn't mentioned once mate
I wholeheartedly agree on all snatchers, stunners and dismounters except maybe jellyfish, but sabertooth? Compy? C'mon :)
compies are really useful on servers with high weight, just use them as tiny vaults!
Loving the content, keep it up. Top 10 pvp dinos, and then top 10 dps mounts.
I found the secret to Microraptors is when the music starts for no reason. Dismount right away. It'll either dart or get mad that you did that and attack. It the case of the latter you can kill it.
Damn I remember being subbed at 2k grown so fast.
It really is!
The crocodile is my most hated creature everytime I try to get a a certain tame from the swamp I get surprised attacked and killed instantly it was to the point wherw Ii brought my brontosauruses and just wiped them which was satisfying to say the least the one that hurt the most was the spino incident
Wow year later and still hearting wow thanks
There actually is good use for the itchy, as it can catch and retrieve fish for you, and while overall it seems weak, it does keep you from having to go into the sea and being that the bird doesn’t decompose the fish and brings the corpse to you intact, it can be used to tame otters and Hesperornis, and Hesperornis lay eggs every couple of fish fed, some of which are golden and give a x6 exp boost to small animals who eat them or a 10% to survivors, so itchy scab make the process of getting those eggs very quick, giving them a very specific but handy purpose.
The pego and ichtyvornis wouldve been a lot lower if it steals but doesnt eat it but within seconds it is permanently removed
I wonder why the Sabretooth is on the list, I would swap it for wolves, these horrible hard to kill pests with an aggro radius as big as the Milky Way.
Lol

Top 10 most difficult creatures to tame would make for an interesting video. I’m sure we all have different opinions about that one!
Cnideria definitely has the most pain they can dish out I find - dying as urself sucks but losing ur animals is worse
The second titanomyrma because they’re aggressive to only humans and they were Drain your stamina I totally agree that should be the top 10 worst list
Honestly I don’t even get how to play in the redwood biome with microraptors... it just seems like a biome where your character should ‘have their wits about them’ but as soon as they step 10 feet into the biome, a tiny annoying bird will buck you off any mount... i mean the redwoods seem impossible to go through with as little health as your character has, unless you had all the backup possible and hope they kill everything before you die 🤨
Tbh, my icthyornis dutifully fished all the coelacanths in the starter beach to extinction, contributing a hilarious amount of prime fish meat that I could have used to tame 10 or more sarcos.
The icthy is really good as a tame tho, I have it hunt the jellyfish aholes and it has always killed them and never taken dmg, the community doesn't understand the difference between bad and annoying 🙄
I cannot believe I didn’t know that the light can stop troodons... the amount of pain I could of saved myself...
“And then he whispers Fuk this sh¡t im out!” 😂
The icthy is like a pegomastax that can fly and eat your items
the worst thing is the kapros on scorched earth, they show up at every watering hole when i’m just trying to get some water
I don’t know what You’re talking about, the pego is SOOOOO useful😂😂
Great work raasclark, you’re becoming one of my favourite RUclipsrs, keep up the fantastic work❤️
Ah cheers dude! Glad you're enjoying the content 😊
Me being one shot 10 minutes in the game by a huge crocodile : I felt that.
I will never understand how people hate the ichthyornis more than the pego, if a seagull grabs one of your items it will just drop it on the ground and continue pestering you, which is very annoying, but it at least gives you the opportunity to kill it, but if a pego steals one of your items if just books it into the bushes, if you can't catch it your stuff is just gone. I've lost items to pegos that I never even got to see
i dont really bump into sabers and micros being annoying, but the cnidarias are always killing my mantas while AND they have low health
*When you forgot that you had a fertilized 350 giga egg (unoffi server) and a "flying pego" desides to come near you while your in your inventory and eats it* 👁💧👄💧👁
I love taming the Pego on PvP cuz it always gets you some neat stuff and no one ever sees them coming
I dont think that icthyornis deserved its spot due to being, in my opinion, the best shoulder pet. I use this guy all the time, I used mine to tame a level 150 raptor when i had no prime meat on me and that was the raptor that made my ultimate raptor army and that icthyornis started it all, i also think that microraptors are 1 million times worse due to their sheer unpredictability whereas with a bola you can take out some icthyorni without any problems, i also would say that purlovia should be above this ichthyorni and pegomastax'.
The bird in 1st place (cant spell its name) is actually quite good as a shoulder pet it can be used to give prime meat and very useful when u find something to tame and u don't have prime meat on u
I still honestly think the microraptor should have been number 1, I cannot count the amount of times they have caused terrible things, mega piranha also shoulda been on the list.
I love to the terrors bed. Perfect escape tame.
Is it like a power nap, nightmare-giving dino?
Finally a video that puts ichiyornis in number 1. I loath those creatures.
So the sabretooth is not only unfortunate to encounter early in the game, but if there is one in your line of vision, they will come sprinting towards you from 50 meters distance.
Experienced it myself, while I was shooting an alpha T-Rex, I was camping myself on a bit of a ledge on rocky terrain, with other sabretooths keeping the rex busy.
After they were dead, another that was more nearby and the rex retreating, so it made a bee-line towards me, that made me realize why there is always at least one out to get you when you are in their territory.
I saw that headline as most worthless tames. Diplodocus should absolutely have been on this list. Also, I really don't like Cnidaria. When I was pretty new to the game, just before SE came out, I managed to get a Spino and they killed him.
The jellyfish just won,t leave me alone!
I like micro raptors because I just find them funny if you have good armor and a tame you can usually fight back and I love to just cover a platform quetz with them fly above something and then whistle for them to attack it 😂
I was a beach bob on an ark server and when I was taking a therizinosaurous a bunch of alpha raptors and therizinosaurouses spawn everytime we try to feed it narcotics
The sabertooth only got on the list for ita ability to attack when you least want it to....so what about the raptor? When they attack they get so close that you glitch inside them and you will only escape when either you or the raptor dies. Sorry but raptor is way more annoying than sabers. Plus sabers get you loads of chitin so they are useful
You forgot the worst part about number one. So if the bird stealing your stuff was not bad enough it will also never give it back so if it grabs anything of yours it's gone. Just a absolute toxic annoying creature.
@傷齒龍147 Troodon147 no I've had ictys steal guns and ammo from me
@@Shanepex Nowadays they only occasionally knock weapons out of your hand. They don't eat them anynore though.
@@slenderman478 well that good that makes a little less annoying
I can't believe the actual worst creature in Ark the one that sets you back in progress and happens unexpectedly, also sometimes is so bad makes people go out of the game. The #1 worst creature is undeniably the Dreaded Lag.
Leedsichthys should have replaced Sabertooth on this list as it is my all time least favorite creature in Ark, and I have a story as to why.
It's my first time playing Ark. I had just gotten rafts unlocked and was making them one after another for EXP. As I'm sailing around the island I notice a smaller island in the distance and think "I wonder what's over there." I already knew the dangers of the ocean from watching other people play and stuck close to the shore. When I reached the beach closest to herbivore Island it was now night time. Didn't know about admin commands at the time and especially didn't know about the gamma one (just discovered that one recently) so it was nearly pitch black. I turn my raft toward the island and start sailing.
Halfway there I hear the combat music playing and wonder if something is attacking me. I pull out my torch, turn my camera around, and see a giant face staring at me from under the water. I let out a genuine scream of fear and floor it towards the island, my raft getting hit and rocking from the monstrous creature's attack. I make it to Haven Island with my heart racing, and I don't leave that place for a whole day. When I looked under the water the creature had vanished, nowhere to be seen.
In the real world, my fear and curiosity led me to look up what the creature was, and then I discovered its name: Leedsichthys. At first, I'm excited, and wonder how to tame it. Then the horrible truth is revealed to me. They are untamable and they only aggro to rafts. Now that fear has been replaced with hatred knowing they target one of my favorite means of transport early game. And after discovering there is an Alpha variant of them too, that hatred increased immensely. To this day, Leeds are basically the only creature I kill on sight.
You make realy good and helpfull Videos! Thanks!
If you tame a compy you can call a compy pack that can listen to your whistles and they are very useful
When he was talking about the liopleurodon and he said " f this shit I am out" I started bursting in laughter
Leech: I guess I don’t exist anymore
The ichtyornis is actually great because you can use it to apply a boost to fish so you can tame an otter 5× faster
Funfact: if u guys dont want these creatures in the world it is possible to code them out of ur singleplayer worlds atleast. I did that with araneos and karkinos because I'm severely afraid of spiders and couldn't really enjoy the game with those nightmares still around.
One time I was getting ready to do a butt load of taming and I had 6 stacks shocking tranquilizers and 5 pegos came up and some how the odds worked out that they took 5 stacks of my shocking tranqs. I only found and killed 3 of them
